Comfort. Location. Enjoyment. The cosy Luna house is ideal for enjoying the best of Croatia from one very comfortable location. Within easy reach of the capital Zagreb, Luna is one of a kind and is a real "home-from-home". From coffee machine to tumble dryer to sauna to dishwater, Luna is fitted out to a high standard so that you can focus on enjoying your special holiday time and exploring Croatia (instead of washing your socks in the sink :) ) Read on to see what makes Luna so special. What s Luna like? The traditional oak-frame and red brick house has been lovingly restored and improved and is a perfect mix of rustic tradition and comfort. The top floor of the house is a spacious loft-conversion space with a double bed, exposed beams and brick walls. A cosy bedroom with own door and two single beds is also located on this level. In the spacious downstairs living space, you can snuggle up on a corner sofa, which can also be converted into a bed (allowing for an extra two sleeping spaces). A log-burning fireplace situated in the middle of the downstairs living space, will instantly add that cosy glow. And if one evening you feel like absolutely not going anywhere and instead watching a movie, flick the projector on and enjoy some old school cinema vibe. Smaller, though beautifully hand-crafted open plan kitchen and breakfast bar, provide a comfortable space for cooks of all abilities. Whether you like to start you day with a coffee or a Full English - here you will find everything you need: a gas 4-burner hob, a built in oven, toaster, coffee-maker, kettle and, of course plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Essentials like salt & pepper, oil etc will be waiting for you in the kitchen and some larder essentials are also there if you need them. Just off the living space, here on the ground floor, there is another bedroom with a double bed. A family-size bathroom is right next to it. In the bathroom, you will find a washing machine, towels, hairdryer and some basic essentials like soap etc. Attached to the main house is a very spacious terrace with seating and eating spaces, and a beautiful wood-burning stove. In the spacious garden, you will find plenty of lawn space, a rope swing, a two-seater garden swing and some traditional ornaments and artefacts. The dedicated outdoor eating and entertainment areas are ideal for friends and family gatherings, plenty of laughter, sumptuous food and wine. In the summer, pick some fruit from the fruit trees that grow in the garden and can cool off in the above-ground pool, located on a small covered outdoor terrace just to the left of the main house. And when the weather is on the cold side - warm right up in the sauna or splash about in the small jacuzzi in the barn at the end of the garden. Things to do.........If you don t have an itinerary planned already, Katarina, your host, will be happy to recommend some places to visit and activities to do. She will also be there to help out with whatever questions you might have - be it in person or over the phone. Croatia s capital Zagreb requires no introductions and is less than an hours drive by car. The town of Bjelovar is approximately 22 km (just over 20 mins drive) away and has a number of cafes, bars, restaurants etc. Several supermarkets here are open 7 days a week. For more information on the historic Bjelovar, things to do and places to visit in the area - please visit the local tourism website at www•tzbbzhr•com (or search "turisticka zajednica bjelovar") Krizevci - another historic town located just 12 km away is great for a spot of craft beer from the local brewery, a meal at one of the restaurants and a local food market. A small flea-market takes place here on Fridays -great for bargain- and treasure-hunters! Beautiful hills of Samobor, Kalnik and Sljeme are all within very easy reach from Luna House and offer some truly stunning views, wild nature and ;) exercise!
