Castle Merial is a character house, renovated in the style and the local tradition, offering a large capacity of up to 15 people.
Located in a quiet environment, in the center of the small flowery village of Mérial, on the edge of a small stream "The rebenty" which flows serenely to the Aude, the house is equipped with many amenities, (dishwasher, dryer, washing machine, 2 TV, stereo, espresso, food processor, 2 fireplaces functional ...) that will allow you to enjoy its wide open spaces.
Distributed in a dozen large rooms to live, 2 large fireplaces equip the living room and the dining room, and will guarantee you friendliness and warmth, during your stay with family or friends. A convertible table in length (extensions x3) will allow you to ensure a meal for 18 seats. Our offer "wood package", you will allow unrestrained use of 2 fireplaces and make your relaxing moments more enjoyable.

The Castle is a private accommodation, enjoying nearby dedicated parking and a garage for 2 cars. It is equipped outside a small private terrace front with corner "aperitif", and another large terrace, optional on request (area to share with the owners depending on availability) equipped with a barbecue and a lounge of garden. In terms of activities, depending on the season, there are several possibilities for you ...
Hiking (GR 7 & 10, Aude fir), Hunting approach (Isard), mushrooms (porcini, morels, truffles, ...), a brown trout fishing, equestrian hiking, cycling, castles Visits Cathars (Montsegur, Puylaurens The Pradelles, Montaillou, ...), ...
Near the principality of Andorra (70 minutes by car), a "low cost" exit is always possible !.
The leisure base of the village of Belcaire (located 10 '), with its landscaped water but also its climbing wall of international renown, provide opportunities for multiple sports activities.

Moreover, and more generally, the Plateau de Sault is recognized for its many craft and gustatory activities during the summer period in particular. (night market, artisanal meeting, agricultural fair of Espezel, cathares meetings of Montaillou, ...)
In the winter season, you will be 10 'from the ski resort Alpin de Camurac, 30' from Ariegeoises de Ascou-Paillères or Ax-Bonascres. You will also be for lovers of Cross Country, 20 'Site Chioula or 40' of the Plateau de Beille.
The accommodation has 10 rooms spread over 2 floors, 2 full baths, 1 dressing room, 1 dining room with fireplace, 1 living room with fireplace, 1 kitchen, 3 bedrooms adult 'with double bed 140 and arrangements, 1 bedroom 'child' with 3 bunk beds and 1 bed 90 (7 beds), 1 transversante bedroom with a twin bed 140 (sofa bed optional).
Electric heating, convectors arranged in each piece at the windows, the latter having been changed recently with equipment "double glazing".
The dining room is equipped with a modular table for up to 16 people.
The living room has a large fireplace type 'inglenook', with the possibility of grilling, and a table that can accommodate up to 12 people.
