Owl's Nest Cabin. Romantic Cabin on beautiful Lake Lure!

Romantic cabin on a mountain lake. We are near Chimney Rock, Asheville and The Biltmore House. The construction at our lakefront to remove sediment from the lake from Hurricane Helene has finished! We are very grateful for the work the Corps of Engineers and their subcontractors have done, but we are equally happy that the Beep! Beep! and engine noise have stopped. The lake will remain lowered until Spring, but that happens many years anyway. Our cozy romantic cabins are now peaceful all day. We are only 1/4 mile from the site where the movie Dirty Dancing was filmed. We are only 18 miles from the new Tryon International Equestrian Resort. Our cozy one bedroom log cabin is built for couples and has a hot tub. We are located in the Town of Lake Lure and only one mile south of the charming mountain Village of Chimney Rock, NC. For no extra cost we have canoes, horse shoes, private fishing ponds, and a dock on beautiful Lake Lure. All set in a natural landscape with diverse flora and fauna. Plus, only a short distance away you will find the Lake Lure Beach and Marina, Historic Lake Lure Inn, Restaurants, Chimney Rock State Park, Lake Lure Tour Boats, horseback riding, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, tennis courts, Chimney Rock Village and fly fishing on the Rocky Broad River! Also in Lake Lure you will find two championship golf courses and a municipal nine-hole golf course.

Nice little quiet, relaxing spot. Wife, pup & I enjoyed our weekend here. Great location close to restaurants & other things. A couple minor suggestions, big window in the bedroom doesn't close all the way or lock. Could use a slightly more comfortable mattress & definitely some better pillows. Maybe we'll check out one of the other cabins next time we're in the area, thanks!

I did not know that there was not lake at all, no water in the lake at all. Instead there was machinery for the construction. equipment making so much noise in the mornings 7am of Saturday and Sunday till late afternoon. I do admire all this work they doing for the future benefit of the community and tourism, howevwer, We did not expected that.

We are sorry these guests did not enjoy their stay at our cabin. We would like to point out that the description of this cabin included the following statement, "Please note that the town has lowered the lake and there will be construction equipment at the lakebed removing sediment". It is also worth noting that, because of the construction, we are offering substantial discounts. The good news is, the US Corps of Engineers is saying the construction should be completed by the end of this month.

Nice cabin

Nice place to stay. As a cabin, it isn’t a fancy house or hotel, but is a very nice unit. Well furnished, fridge, stove, microwave, heat/a-c, screened deck with hot tub and gas grill. Enjoyed our stay

Quiet place enjoy the stay

Enjoy the stay small but quaint wish the bed was a little more comfortable but had everything we needed internet was very slow and very poor cell service.

We are happy they had a good time. We have firm mattresses. If you prefer less firm, just let us know and we will add a foam topper. The cell service here is poor. One of the WiFi antennas had a limb fall on it and the service was at that time slow. It has now been repaired and the WiFi is back to normal.

Great cabin’

My sister and I stayed here to attend the Dirty Dancing Festival nearby. The cabin was perfect! So comfortable, had everything we needed and more. The screened in porch by the water was lovely. I can’t wait to come back with my husband and pups!

Great place to stay at Lake Lure.

Wonderful visit! Everything was as advertised and touches like dog bowls, toys were available. The timer on gas logs was a great idea. Very close to “downtown “ Lake Lure and restaurants and right on the water. Will definitely come back!

Wonderful break

Spent a good amount of time sipping wine, listening to the bullfrogs, and sitting in the rockers. Extremely enjoyable. Csbin is perfect for a romantic getaway

Fun at Pine Gables

This was our fifth trip to the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area and we’ve stayed at Jim’s Pine Gables each time. It’s a very peaceful, historic area that we’ve come to really enjoy. The location near Chimney Rock Village and the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge makes it an ideal stop. Thanks again for another great stay.

Beautiful Getaway

The cabin was wonderful, very quiet area. The only thing I didn't like was the road on the property. The whole are is beautiful, with plenty to see and do, even off season. I would definitely go back there!

Cute Lake Lure Getaway

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary at this cute little cabin with our pup :) Great location and had everything we needed! Agree with other reviewers the bedroom walls are pretty dusty and the bed isn’t the most comfortable but we had a great time relaxing, canoeing and exploring and our pup enjoyed observing all the wildlife and swimming in the lake for the first time!

Beautiful cabin

The owls nest cabin in pine gables was perfect for what we needed. My husband and I went to lake lure to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The cabin was small but cozy and the hot tub on the deck was a lovely feature. It is close to chimney rock and lake lure. We will definitely be back!

The Owls Nest

Lovely cabin. I especially enjoyed sitting on the porch and having a meal and a cup of tea. Only problem for me: the climb down to the dock is very treacherous and the dock and ladder should be replaced for safety.

Just what two busy married folks needed

We wish we'd had longer to stay. We loved the peace and quiet. We loved the simple comforts of the cabin. We loved the bed, the rugs, the hot tub towels, and especially the porch! What a lovely view with comfortable seats and of course, the hot tub for two. We were plenty close to the town square of Lake Lure and to Chimney Rock. We had a wonderful weekend and will be back.
