Delightfully restored farmhouse in the heart of the Dordogne

Surrounded by attractive scenery, the property is situated on the outskirts of the pretty village of Saint Avit Senieur. The beautiful bastide towns of Monpazier, Beaumont and Belves are all a short drive away.

The cottages were formally a farm house and have been totally renovated and updated by the owners. They have been designed for use as two totally independent units or for rent as one. Each has a private pool, terrace and BBQ facilities. The interior is enhanced by fully equipped kitchens, attractive and comfortable lounge/dining areas, comfortable bedrooms and new bathrooms.

The cottages are surround by meadows and woodland and have a shaded picnic area for use by guests.

Open plan living, dining and kitchen areas with exposed perigord stone walls and oak beams. Large modern bathrooms. Master bedroom suites with exposed stone and oak beams and stylish en-suite shower rooms. Two private enclosed terrace/pools. Barbecues. Wi-fi. UK and French TV. DVD players. Washing machines. Dishwashers.

Perfect first visit to France

Beautiful property and ideal for a family or a group of friends. Very peaceful and the location is great for exploring the region. Pool is a nice edition and the outside eating areas are a good size. The hosts are fantastic and will help with any queries you have and give plenty of advice regarding things to see and do. We will be visiting again as plenty more for us to see and do! Thank you Craig and Caroline

Simply Wonderful

Fabulous week in the Dordogne based at this property - very rural and quiet but lots of lovely towns and Chateau’s and other things to see and do in the region so you will need a hire car to get around. The Gîte is superbly welcoming and comfortable - has everything you need for your stay. Craig and Caroline are fantastic hosts too, full of great advice beforehand when planning your stay and also on hand if needed while there. If I could 6 stars here I would!

Lovely countryside in a very comfortable gites.

We spent two wonderful weeks with our young children. There are many activities to keep you busy from canoeing, cycling and to great adventures in deep underground caves. The property was as described and much more, everything that you need in a truly beautiful part of the Dordogne. The gites was well maintained and very clean and had all with very helpful owners. We had a wonderful meal at La Table de Leo, but be sure to book. A highly recommended holiday!

Brilliant place to stay

The property is in a really quiet position but within easy reach of lots of beautiful villages and towns. The gite is extremely well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The outside space is perfect with several places to sit or sunbathe. The pool is a useful addition and great for cooling down on the hot days. The owners (Craig and Caroline) are the ideal people to run the gite. Extremely helpful and react to any questions or queries immediately and positively. Very friendly without invading your space but open to any requests. Overall one of best gites we’ve stayed in and would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful gem

Craig and Caroline are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Never intrusive but there if help and advice is needed. This previous hayloft has been beautifully and very tastefully restored to a very high standard and is spotless. It is set in peaceful countryside and with accesss to adjoining fields and woods and with hammock and picnic tables. A delightful place to relax and within easy distance of Beaumont. Restaurants are a short drive away.

The Amazing la cote de cor gite in the Dordogne

The gite was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in. The gite itself was absolutely spotless, it had every creature comfort you could ever need, every detail was meticulously thought out, absolute luxury in the middle of picture perfect Dordogne country side. The hosts Caroline & Craig, well what can I say! Nothing was to much trouble for them, anything we needed they were there giving us information on places to visit, where to find local places to eat & shop, I actually dont know what we would have done without them. The most caring wonderful people you would ever want to meet. This is the most perfect wonderful place to stay!! Thank you Craig & Caroline

Beautiful gite in quiet area

We spent three weeks in this beautiful gite. From the early communications with the owners, Caroline and Craig, I knew that they would be great hosts. The gite itself is very comfortable and well equipped for two couples or a family and was extremely clean when we arrived. Throughout our stay, Caroline and Craig made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. In addition, they provided information on the area when we required it. They are great hosts and very respectful of their guests' privacy. We visited wonderful sites every day. The gite is close to a number of little bastide towns with access to a grocery store and, of course, wonderful markets. It is also within less than one hour drive to Beynac, Domme, Castelnaud, La Roque Gageac, and Sarlat. Other beautiful sites such as Perigueux, Rocamadour, Cahors, St-Cirq-Lapopie, Lascaux are a bit further out, but can be accessed for a day trip, which we did. The Perigord is a wonderful area to visit and staying at Caroline and Craig's gite made our vacation a perfect one. Thank you!

Een zalig verblijf in een heerlijke accomodatie, met alles op en aan (inclusief zwembad). En super aardige gastvrouw en gastheer, die ons op afstand lieten genieten van het prachtige weer, maar die op de minste vraag graag insprongen met al wat kon. We komen hier zeker terug !

Un agréable séjour en Dordogne

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine chez Craig et Caroline avec des jeunes enfants (de 2 ans à 7 ans) Nous avons été très bien accueilli, Craig et Caroline on vraiment le souci du détail on se croirait presque à l'hôtel avec une petite attention de bienvenue très appréciée. Le logement est super, propre, spacieux... le seul petit inconvénient était le frigo qui était vraiment petit (on était 7 dans le logement) mais Craig et Coraline ont eu la gentillesse de nous installer un petit frigo et congélateur d'appoint. 😉 Nous avons apprécié l'extérieur et les enfants aussi 😊 Le logement est vraiment bien équipé. Si vous recherchez du calme pendant votre séjour l'emplacement est idéal. Beaucoup de choses à visiter autour mais il faut compter au moins 30 à 45 min de route sur des routes assez étroites et sinueuses.

Lovely holiday in a beautiful unspoilt part of France

This gite was perfect for our multi generational holiday. It was beautifully clean and very well appointed and the hosts Craig and Caroline were extremely welcoming and helpful. The pool and grounds were a great hit with the children and adults. There are lovely walks from the house and nature all around from buzzards, deer and red squirrels. A great holiday and lots of lovely memories. Thank you.

Great Place for Friends, Kids and Family to explore Perigord Noir

It has been a pleasure staying at Carolines and Craigs beautiful Cottage near Beaumont and Monpazier. We travelled with a child and two friends and there was enough space for everyone to relax and enjoy the pool and sun. To explore the Perigord you have the ideal spot to visit Cadouin, Beaumont, Bergerac or Sarlat for example. Caroline and Craig are the perfect hosts and helped us with everything regarding the house and our stay. They took very good care of us. We can highly recommend to stay at Cote de Cor. We will come back for sure. Take care!

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable au calme de la campagne. Le gite est très propre, il ne manque rien. Les propriétaires sont vraiment très attentionnés et ont pensé à tout pour accueillir convenablement leurs hôtes. Tranquillité assurée

Dans un période particulière, Craig et Caroline nous ont permis par la qualité de leur gîte, de nous reposer dans un endroit magnifique. Les prestations sont dignes d’un hôtel. La piscine (un peu froide parfois 😁), l’espace de jeux ont ravis les petits comme les grands. L’environnement est propre et invite à la détente dans une région qui foisonne de randonnées et lieux historiques.

Très belle et charmante maison au cœur du Périgord

Un très bel endroit plein de charme. Paisible et très propre. Tout était en parfait état. De bons lits. Une maison qui garde la fraîcheur même après les journées chaudes.. Une piscine agréable pour se rafraîchir après les promenades. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié avec nos enfants et amis... Les propriétaires proches étaient très attentionnés et discrets... We had a very lovely stay at the gite. We stayed 2 weeks. And it was an amazing period. We traveled with an 8 months old baby and everything we needed for her was in the gite. At some point we needed a doctor for her and Caroline was very helpfull for making us the appointment. The area is very nice, there are a lot of things to visit, but you need to drive a while to see something. If you just want to relax its the perfect place, it’s a very peaceful location. Originally from the UK, Caroline and Craig holidayed in France for several years; returning again and again. They fell in love with The Dordogne and finally decided to take the plunge and move there permanently. Having found their dream home in a converted barn, they used all their experience to transform the neighbouring farm house into delightful holiday accommodation.
