Hello from Florence, thank you so much for the excellent review! You were very friendly, warm-hearted, and wonderfully uncomplicated guests! Very punctual both during arrival and check-out, and with impeccable communication long before and during your stay. As a host, I was particularly pleased that you were interested in my many special information for visiting Florence and my restaurant tips. It was wonderful to prepare everything perfectly for you, as you would be so grateful. I was even more pleased, however, that you really appreciated my apartment and left it extra tidy and spotlessly clean—truly 5-star! A special hug for that! I can only warmly recommend you as guests and would love to welcome you back. Hopefully, see you soon again!

Marion is passionate, dedicated to sharing her love of Italy, and has a lovely place worth staying in. Marion was in communication with me on day one, sharing lots of lovely places and insider tips way beyond what I initially expected upon booking. It is necessary to mention the bottle of wine, the much appreciated fruit and pastry basket, and personal greeting was a touch unlike any other and made me feel so welcome. Marion also helped me practice my Italian which was priceless to me. Oltrarno, the locale of Sognando, is lovely, vibrant, but also quaint, historic, and full of lovely locals, but simultaneously close enough walking distance for a leisurely stroll to Florence. So thankful for Marion’s generosity, patience, and home.

Marion is a fantastic host, with amazing communication and recommendations leading up to our stay. She was able to get us an early check in and met us for both check in and checkout. She provided snacks, sweets, fruit, and even a bottle of wine. She offered to make dining reservations and was available for anything we might need. The property itself is just outside the city wall and we were able to walk to everything that we wanted to see. Highly recommend.

Beautiful apartment with garage in an ideal location

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful apartment! Communication with Marion was exceptional, clear, timely, and helpful, both before our arrival and throughout our visit. Everything was seamless and completely stress-free.The apartment itself was perfect, clean, comfortable, and ideally located (just outside the ZTL zone). We explored Florence on foot and visited nearby cities by car (having access to a garage was a huge plus). The location made it easy to enjoy the city day and night.Florence and its surrounding region is truly magical, rich in history, stunning architecture, warm and welcoming people, and unforgettable food. We are incredibly grateful for the generous hospitality and for helping make our stay in Florence so special. Highly recommended!

The kitchen has everything you need. You will be in walking distance to almost everything and there is public transportation if you don't want to walk. The building is secure and safe. The best part of this apartment is the host! Marion. She started contacting me weeks before my trip to help me plan the best stay possible. We loved everything about this apartment, the location, the security, the quiet neighborhood, the facilities (the well-equipped kitchen, the WONDERFUL shower, the comfortable bed), but most of all the host, one of the sweetest, most caring, hospitable, helpful, and fun people we've ever met. She clearly enjoyed hosting us, showing us how everything works, where everything is located, and making recommendations to make this the best of all places we've stayed in Europe during our 6-week trip. The host is an absolutely wonderful communicator having contacted us months before our visit about reserving early for popular tours and sites, and sending recommendations for dining, for the BEST gelato (award winning), supermarket with everything, bars, best shopping sites for whatever you're looking for, and even where to shop for some inexpensive replacement luggage when one of our wheels broke and made the suitcase useless. The well equipped and well stocked apartment met all our needs and made us feel at home. We could not have been happier we chose to stay here... away from the hoards of tourists, but close enough to see everything we wanted.

A Remarkable Owner

From long before we arrived, Marion provided us with a wealth of information and ideas for our visit to Firenze. She is a treasure. We have traveled to many parts of the world, but Marion is in a class by herself. The property is out of the center of Firenze, but we enjoyed the 20-25 minute walk to the Arno. It is exceeding clean and well maintained, and fairly spacious. The television has no English channels, but who goes to Firenze for TV? There is an underground garage space for a car, but it is quite tight (Marion directed us in and out!). It was a good place to leave the car while we spent a week enjoying walking in Firenze. The bed is comfortable. There are many outlets. And Marion left a bottle of wine, both still and aqua frizzante, and some breakfast snacks for us. All in all, a great experience!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Marion or her apartment! Marion was a dream to work with as a host; she was a wealth of knowledge, information, and great tips to get the most out of our stay. We happened to arrive during the celebration of St. John’s feast, and Marion made sure we knew the best place to catch the fireworks right away :) Her apartment is perfect for a small family. Our family of four (including two teenagers) found the space ideal for our needs. It is clean, bright, and Marion goes above and beyond to give you a very warm welcome! The apartment offers air conditioning and has a lovely shower, which are both very appreciated at the end of a full summer day enjoying Florence. There is a lift, if needed. Location-wise, it is about a 20 minute walk to the Duomo which was perfect for us. Close enough to enjoy the city center, but out of the middle of everything to have a quiet evening or peaceful morning before heading out for the day. We enjoyed our walks to/from downtown; we found lovely cafes for pastries and coffee in the morning and excellent take away pizza for late nights. 10/10, highly recommend staying here for your Florence trip!

Thank you so much for the excellent review!
