Le Dernier Chateau, with attached villa, is set in the heart of Les Baux de Provence with stunning panoramic views over the surrounding olive groves and vineyards. Built into the rocks below the ruins of the famous Chateau des Baux, this property is renovated to a very high standard and offers an array of modern conveniences.

Retaining many of the original stone walls and exposed beams throughout the property, this partially caved house dates back to Roman times and yet the high quality interiors and works of contemporary art along with furniture by celebrated designers give the house a modern feel.

LIVING ACCOMMODATION:

Within the house, as well as an open plan kitchen and dining area with seating for 6, there is a large lounge area with 2 sofas and an open fireplace. The first floor library and study provide solace after a busy day of sightseeing.

BATHROOMS & BEDROOMS 1, 2 & 3:

The first floor master bedroom within the main house has an open fireplace and a private terrace. The adjacent Roman style bathroom has a day bed, large bathtub, shower and separate WC.

At garden level, there are two double bedrooms, both en suite, which lead on to the pool terrace.

BEDROOMS 4 & 5:

Attached to the chateau, but with a private entrance, is a guesthouse which can be rented for an extra cost of €1,500 per week. It consists of a full kitchen, dining and lounge area, two double bedrooms and a shared bathroom with separate WC. It is suitable for a family with children and is not meant for 4 adults to share.

The guesthouse may be rented along with the main house to accommodate further guests at an extra cost of €1,200 per week. The price listed does not include the guest house and it will be added for an extra cost upon request. The guesthouse is only available to rent to guests staying at the chateau and cannot be rented separately.

OUTSIDE AREA

The outside space offers many choices of use in spectacular surroundings. A summer kitchen with a gas grill provides a shaded dining area for 8 people at a table carved from local stone from the quarry in Les Baux. Two large terraces, at different levels, are also equipped for dining and relaxing or just admiring the beauty of the local countryside.

The chateau features a curved infinity pool positioned to take full advantage of the views over the beautiful lush countryside. The swimming pool is secured by a pool alarm.

The property is situated on a private lane with electric gates at entrance and has an extensive private parking area.

HOUSEKEEPING

Midweek Housekeeping of 3 hours and weekly changeover are included. Extra housekeeping can be arranged for an additional fee.
