Kahala Poipu Kai 312 is a ground floor, two bedroom, two bathroom end unit with outstanding views. A portable A/C is located in the living area for your comfort.

The unit opens to rolling green lawns and the greenbelt walkway to the beach. Well maintained with an updated kitchen, tile floors, beautiful lanai located at the magnificent Poipu Kai resort.

Visitors, you dont need to worry about renting gear on the island. This unit has beach equipment in a collapsable beach wagon that you can take to some of the most pristine locations on the island . Sleeps up to 4 people; and up to 6 with use of the living room sofabed.

*Rates are based on Season and subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Taxes and fees apply and will be shown at checkout.
Reservations include Poipu Beach Athletic Club membership $30 per night. Access to PBAC is for up to five people.

24/7 on-Island Manager is Poipu365, or after hours emergencies call.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We did not originally book this unit, but was moved here by VRBO due to a problem with our original booking. It was a nice upgrade for us and closer to the beach. The unit was very clean, had plenty of space, and was an easy walk to the beach or to a nearby sports bar that had a daily happy hour. The unit has an AC unit in the main bedroom and the living room. The smaller room got a little warm, but there was a ceiling fan and a large floor fan that helped. There were a lot of beach supplies (wagon, umbrella, blankets/towels etc). The bathrooms could use a little updating - the main bathroom cabinet doors don't properly close and the other bathroom has a towel rod that needs some TLC. Overall, this is a great place to stay - it was just two of us and we could have easily had six total (I think the couch is a sofa bed).

Beautiful property with scenic views. Close to Poipu beach. Only giving 4 stars because the owner/property manager doesn’t return emails when you have a question which is quite frustrating.

Everything was spotless and looked brand new, from the stylish furniture to the thoughtful décor.The kitchen was fully stocked with great cookware and dishes, which made it easy to cook a few meals and enjoy quiet evenings in. They also provided beach towels, toys, coolers, and everything else we needed for a perfect day out.The ocean views from the lanai and being just a short walk to the beach were a huge bonus. It truly felt like a home away from home and made our honeymoon even more special. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Amazing location!

Location, location, location! Literally steps away from the beach and equipped with everything you need for the beach. Perfect for our family with two teenagers. We lived this property and would definitely return!

Stay near Poipu Beach

Very nice place, open and comfortable. Loved being able to get to the beach to see the sunrise and view the turtles. And Puka Dog, too! Comfortable furniture and nice kitchen.

Great location.

This was a great location—an easy walk to the beach and great sunset views. The place was well stocked and the A/C unit in the main bedroom worked really well. We had a hiccup with the clothes dryer (belt broke and the part had to be ordered) but the property manager was quick to offer an alternative. My only complaint is regarding the beach chairs and beach umbrella—the umbrella was broken and unusable, and the chairs were rusty and mildewed. But other than this small fix, I highly recommend.

Great Location

Just stayed here and overall it was a great stay! Check in was SUPER easy and loved the info that was left about the condo and the area. Had a little maintenance hiccup that was handled RIGHT away and the gentleman they sent was AWESOME. Not just because he was knowledgeable but he was super personable and kind. The location was FABULOUS and the amenities were equally great. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the condo. It had a “Hollywood clean”. The closer I looked, I noticed it wasn’t as clean as you would think. The floors had old spills that weren’t cleaned well and still a feeling of grit/sand in some spots, major dust and junk under the beds (saw bc my kid lost a shirt), and the tubs weren’t very clean either. I will give it to the property manager, she was willing to send someone out and do an extra clean but we didn’t stay much in the condo and it wasn’t gross dirty but could use a deep clean here and there to help. The bedding and towels were fresh though and my husband raved about the primary bed. We slept VERY well and it was super comfy. The AC’s were very helpful but adding one in the 2nd bedroom would have been handy as my kids didn’t feel safe sleeping with the windows open BUUUT the area felt VERY safe and secure. All in all, this was a great place, great location and we were happy to have stayed here!

Great place to stay

We were able to stay at this great location just a few hundred yards from the beach. Easy check in and property was in great condition. If your looking for great place to stay that won’t bust the budget- look here!

Good Times

The condo was really nice and clean when we arrived . easy to check in just put in the code provided in email prior to arriving. The condo was updated and had plenty of items in the kitchen to do any kind of cooking that you might want to do. They also had a large variety of extras like surf boards, beach chairs, wagon to help get things to the beach as it is a short 3 to 5 minute walk. Coolers for taking drinks to the beach. The location in the complex is really nice really close to the main pool which is the one we used ,also had an ocean view and close to a bbq which we used. Nice sports bar on site with a great happy hour. Over all I would recommend this condo and I will more than likely be coming back

Great trip. Lovely, well stocked kitchen and great room. Master bed comfortable. Master closet had chips in it that could stand touch up paint. Master closet needs W-D 40 as it sounds like a Halloween song. Master bath vanity left hand drawer and cabinet door don’t close completely. It was great to have a washer and dryer. Walk to dining and beaches. Overall great experience. Would highly recommend. Need to know there are 2 steps down from foyer to great room.

So disappointing

Reserved in March 2023 for stay in December 2023. While I was in line to pick up my rental car AT THE LIHUE AIRPORT(!!?!), I received a call from a Poipu 365 person, telling me my condo wasn’t “ready”, but it would be on Thursday (this was on Monday before Christmas). She stated they were working on the lanai and it wouldn’t be done “for a few days”. The condo they offered was not close to equivalent: 2 queen beds instead of a king and twins (for my husband and I and 2 sons, both over 6 ft tall). No ocean view, not as close to amenities (Brenneke’s beach, Kalapaki Joes, the nice pool, etc.) The back “deck” felt overgrown with vegetation and was strung with cobwebs, the freezer door appeared covered in orange stains of some kind, pocket doors to the toilets were “stuck” and difficult to close. I spoke to the property agent who arranged to “clean” Kahala 312 that night (our original condo) but we weren’t able to use the lanai until the day before we departed. This was > $6000 for 6 nights (after taxes, fees, etc.) I asked for some refund and was told I would get a “15% discount”. I have received no refund, and they returned the cleaning deposit to my husband’s VISA card (which had been used a few years ago), not my card which was the one used in the transaction. We love Poipu and have stayed at many condos in Kahala, Regency and Manualoha at the Poipu Kai complex. We will not likely book with Poipu 365 again.

This should be a five...

But it isn't. I wish it were. Many things were just right, but the unit was simply way too hot. Too hot to stay inside. I'm a long-time Poipu visitor, and I've never stayed anywhere near this hot. Outside was much cooler than inside. There were four brand-new ceiling fans and an interior AC unit the size of a large suitcase, so clearly the owners are aware of the problem, but it just didn't work. Nights were fine for sleeping, and early mornings were fine, but by 10am it was stifling. We worked out, over our first week how to set the umbrella to shade the glass doors, pull the curtains, and adjust the fans and AC for the best air flow, but it simply wasn't enough. We spent far too much of our Hawaii holiday sitting in a ridiculously hot, dark room. Now if you go out all day adventuring, this place is ideal. But if you, like us, are seniors with only enough energy for one activity a day, this is not the place for you. We spent lots of time playing Scrabble out at the pool where it was cool and breezy. The location is great for beaches, shopping, and sights. But inside the house was really not acceptable during the day. Beds were great. Linens were top grade. Showers and washer/dryer were just fine. There was plenty of beach equipment and a wagon to haul it in. But the kitchen was really too hot for cooking - although we did. It had no ventilation and the smoke detector had been clearly moved from the kitchen to the back hall. I regret this rating very much.

Fantastic place!

We had a great time at Kahala Poipu Kai. A very short walk to Poipu Beach which is perfect for families with children. A quiet area, about 30 minutes from the airport. Place was very clean and accommodating for our family of three. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly visit again!

Restful

My grandson and I brought my his mother's my daughter's ashes to spred with our family who live on Kauai. It was beautiful and we had a good family visit. We had some closure and he enjoyed going to places that he and his Mon had visited. I would rent the condo again. My only suggestion would be to place some grab bars in the bathroom, since the tubs are slippery. Overall a beautiful place.
