This charming 3-bedroom holiday home in Saint-Laurent-la-Vallée offers a peaceful retreat for up to 6 guests. Nestled in the southern Dordogne, it features a private covered swimming pool, sun loungers, and a furnished garden perfect for barbecues and relaxing afternoons. With parking on-site and Belvès train station just 10 km away, it's a convenient base for exploring the region. Nearby, enjoy local cuisine just 2 km away or shop for souvenirs in the town center. The Dordogne River, 12 km away, offers scenic banks and canoeing opportunities, while water sports await 30 km out. For cultural excursions, visit Castelnaud-la-Chapelle Castle, La Roque St. Christophe, or Château des Milandes. Garden lovers will adore The Marqueyssac Gardens and The Water Gardens of Carsac. This is an amazing place! The large house, the wonderful pool, all the amenities and the beautifully equipped kitchen make this a perfect vacation home. But it is the surroundings that turn this place into a true paradise: views as far as the eye can see in all directions, deer, rabbits and birds casually appearing and disappearing again. Add to this the pleasant welcome, and you know that everything is there to make it a relaxing vacation. 'Live like God in France' was invented for places like this.

Der Poolbereich war gut gepflegt und bot einen großartigen Ort, um sich nach der Erkundung nahegelegener Attraktionen wie dem Château de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle an unserem kurzen Aufenthalt abzukühlen.

Fantastisch huis, heerlijk zwembad. Wel afgelegen, dichtsbijzijde dorp is op dik 2 km bergafwaarts. Wij houden hiervan en vonden dit heerlijk. Huis is van alle gemakken voorzien.

Pour commencer les points négatifs et il y en a : - personne pour nous accueillir à notre arrivée... Aucune information sur l’adresse exacte, comment les clés étaient remises... Nous avons par chance trouvé la maison et les clés suspendues un local ouvert. - Par ailleurs, gros point négatif le plus grave à mon sens : maison très poussiéreuse, en arrivant c’était tellement sale m que certains ont eu des réactions allergiques et nous avons dû nettoyer nous meme … ce n’est pas normal surtout pour une maison à ce tarif. - Il fait une chaleur impressionnante la maison est mal isolée et pas de clim. 2 chambres sur 3 n’ont pas de volets donc difficile de dormir pour certains au petit matin. Pour le positif, l’endroit est incroyable, en pleine nature, au calme, et la maison est très belle avec une jolie piscine… Un potentiel qui pourrait être bien mieux exploité ! Nous avons eu cependant la propriétaire au téléphone qui est très sympathique et qui ne gère pas directement le bien. Le défaut de communication semble donc venir de la société qui gère la maison ainsi que d’Abritel ..

Bij aankomst niemand aanwezig om ons op te vangen, terwijl we de aankomst hadden aangekondigd. De code van de deurlocker waar de sleutel inzit, was verkeerd. Bij toeval konden we het huis binnen via een deur die bij toeval open gelaten was in de kelder. Het buitenmeubilair is aan vervanging toe. Onze frêle dochter zakte door een houten stoel en bezeerde zich aan de houtsplinters. De houten ligbedden zijn ook niet meer in goede staat. Op zich mooi huis met voldoende ruimte. Helaas geen ventilatoren aanwezig toen we aankwamen in erge warmte. Deze zijn op ons verzoek wel gekocht (4x). Voor het zwembad moet je omlopen, via de voorkant naar de achterkant, wat onpraktisch is. Je moet dan je hapjes en drankjes op een onhandige (via trappen) manier daar krijgen . Bij het zwembad wel prachtig uitzicht en rust. Helaas 2 van de 3 parasols kapot. In de loop van de week wel een nieuwe gekregen. Er staat een BBQ onder het huis, maar er staan geen tafel en stoelen. Deze moet je dan zelf verslepen. Er is geen TV aanwezig, omdat de eigenaren vinden dat de gasten voor de rust en uitzicht komen. Dat bepaal ik liever zelf en vind het fijn als er een TV is, vooral als er EK voetbal is. Nu via laptop en hotspot naar tv gekeken. Wifi is niet onbeperkt en matig (datalimiet en traag). Slaapkamers en badkamers goed, hoewel het stopcontact in de ouderslaapkamer onafgedekt en levensgevaarlijk is. Dit is gemeld aan Marten, maar hij heeft hier niets aan gedaan. Hopelijk na ons gerepareerd ivm kleine kinderen. Al met al is het een beetje verouderd en gedateerd en aan vernieuwing toe. Op dit moment is de prijs/kwaliteit niet in orde.
