A wonderful four season get-away home. Come for a holiday, a vacation, a season, or a sabbatical; for relaxation, renewal, or inspiration. Enjoy warm summer breezes, beautiful sunsets, birds and seals, and picturesque views of the islands and tributaries of the Sheepscot River. Watch lobstermen ply their trade. Walk or bicycle to nature preserves, a park, or other islands.

Bring your boat and explore the pristine and protected waters of the Sheepscot and Kennebec Rivers. Outstanding kayaking area often visited by local tours; 300 yards to two launch sites, paddle miles of protected and beautiful back waters. Boothbay Harbor, just five minutes by car, a few more by boat, features excellent dining, quaint shops, excursion boats, family recreation, and one of the prettiest harbors in the United States. We endeavor to offer you a totally relaxing experience in a tranquil and beautiful setting, with generous amenities and warm surroundings.

Lisa went above and beyond to answer my questions leading up to our visit and responded quickly! The house was perfect for our needs with two littles and two dogs. Location was a minute away from the Botanical Gardens and less than ten minutes from town. We hope to stay here again in the future!

This property is in a beautiful spot , with a yard for my dogs to run around in and explore . The deck was amazing to just sit on and relax and watch the boats. Beautiful views from all the back rooms . Great location to everything in the area. House had all the amenities you would need .

The house was very clean and the kitchen was very well supplied. The outside deck was wonderful with a nice picnic table and nice rocking chairs.The view was amazing and we enjoyed watching the working lobster boats! It’s very quiet and peaceful and the Botanical Gardens is minutes away and worth the trip.Also close to downtown Boothbay shopping with nice shops and restaurants I highly recommend the candy store.The only thing that I would say is being it’s an older house the basement is very musty smelling and the room they picture with the ping pong table is not useable space. Overall we would return and it was awesome to be able to have our dog with us.

Great area. Appliances were top notch. Friendly neighbors. Highlight was buying lobsters from the lobsterman while kayaking! Wonderful for dog owners. Beautiful view from the deck.

Great location to Boothbay Harbor and area attractions. Enjoyed all the nearby hiking preserves. Home is well maintained and clean. Deck view relaxing with water, so peaceful. Was enjoyable to watch the variety of birds coming in at low tide. Children enjoyed the spacious backyard for playing and table tennis.

Girl’s Trip

The home and location were perfect. Only a few minutes from The Botanical Gardens, and a short trip to downtown. The bedrooms and living space/kitchen were perfect for our group. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was perfect for sit down meal and conversation. Living room was also set up nicely overlooking the deck. Water pressure was great! Kitchen stocked nicely with utensils and cookware. The only suggestion is to possibly put in a dehumidifier in the lower level to help with the moisture and damp smell. Otherwise, very happy with our stay and looking to rebook for next summer!

Nice location

This home is in a nice location and we enjoyed the views from the living room and deck. The house was also very clean. Unfortunately I was so overwhelmed by the intense air freshener smells and musty odor that I had difficulty sleeping the first night. I had to air the house out a bit. The musty odor was coming from the first level but could be smelled on the second as well. It’s the only issue I had with the place but unless it was resolved I wouldn’t consider returning.

Two nights at the house. Overall good, just needs a little extra cleaning. Carpets and couch/chairs. Was not use to having to wash and fold sheets and towels. Ran us a little late with our plans for that day.

Amazing

This is an outstanding property. Great house. Great host. Well stocked. Enjoyed watching the tide coming in and going out. Boothbay is a great vacation spot. And a perfect time of year. We had a great time.

Boothbay Getaway

The location of the house was perfect. The view was fantastic. It is close to Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, which we enjoyed visiting. The layout and seating was good for us. The house could use some updates. Upon entering there was a musty smell which dissipated after opening some windows. Neither of these things affected the enjoyment of our stay.

Wonderful stay and fantastic view!

First, let me say that this is not a fancy place, but it is wonderful!! The house was immaculately clean, the kitchen was well stocked with all that you need, and the whole place was homey and comfortable. The view of the tides going in and out every day was amazing. We sat on the deck for hours watching the water and the wildlife. It was so lovely and peaceful. There's much to do from exploring the town 8 minutes away, to eating the freshest lobster ever, and sunset sailing on a schooner. Don't miss Acadia National Park! It's beyond worth the 2.5 hour drive! Owner was helpful and nice. We would DEFINITELY stay here again, highly recommend!!

Beautiful spot!

My mom & I had a great mother/daughter weekend. Weather was spectacular, the view from the house was lovely as was the surrounding area (very quiet & peaceful). We enjoyed trips to the harbor for dinner and made it to opening day of the Maine Tasting Center - so fun!. The only con of the house would be that it lacked bedroom shades. We were both awoken at 4:45am each morning to the bright sunlight which was rough.

Great House and Location!

The house was perfect, it had everything we needed. Every appliance, dish, kitchen gadget you could need. Great showers, plenty of hot water with great water pressure and heat (yes, we used the heat :-)) Cozy living room with plenty of seating and views to the water on the deck though big sliding doors, just lovely. Communication with Lisa was excellent. Location was peaceful, quiet and 3 min from Boothbay Harbor.. Back deck overlooking was water was our favorite spot. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us Lisa!

Had a wonderful stay

Lisa was wonderful to work with and the reservation and check in process was stress free. The online description and photos are accurate. We really liked the layout of the home and the views were beautiful. Large sliding glass doors in the living room and two of the bedrooms take full advantage of that view and are one of the home's best assets. The only suggestion we have for the home is perhaps an air purifier for the game room downstairs to eliminate the musty odor (although our kids did not seem to mind). The kitchen has a brand new ceramic top stove and what looks like a newer fridge and microwave. The dishwasher has a sanitary-cycle option that we used. There is a park just a few minutes walk away that has a footbridge out to a small island that is perfect for walking the dog or just taking in the scenery. Boothbay Harbor is only a few minutes away and has many shops and restaurants. We recommend Mama D's for breakfast and the Footbridge Brewery for craft beers and a fun atmosphere. If you don't mind driving an hour to Owls Head, there is an impressive Transportation Museum with antique cars, motorcycles and aircraft. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay!

Great place to visit

WE LOVED THE LOCATION. SO CLOSE TO THE TOWN AND YET ON THE BAY. WE SAW LOONS, HERONS, SEAGULLS, DUCKS. WE LOVED IT.
