Stayed the weekend with some friends while attending local annual event. This was our second time staying here as it is perfect for our needs. It is hard to find pet friendly accommodations sometimes. Love the beautiful lake view and the large deck and fire pit. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing location. Lake is beautiful and so lovely to swim in. The cabin was sweet. Communication was great and the host very helpful and laid back.

Three friends had a relaxing stay. Beach area and water were very nice and not crowded. Deck was spacious and a good amount of shade (the yard/fire pit area had plenty of sun). Beds were comfortable. Found everything we needed in the kitchen and the house stayed cool with fans provided. Check in was easy (contactless) and communications were quickly responded to and concise.Would recommend :)

Very uncomfortable

Very uncomfortable. The shower liner was moldy, there was mold on the single bed mattress covers, stains on the bedspreads, and the beds were excruciatingly uncomfortable. The mold & musty smell throughout the house was overpowering and unpleasant, the fridge, microwave, and pots & pans were dirty, and you cannot avoid getting wet from the spray when using the bathroom sink faucet. The cottage was overall not clean, including the deck, where a blower was left for us to use if we wanted to sit out there, which we did. The host was nice, but for all the reason mentioned, our stay was unpleasant.

It was wonderful and so relaxing. The view was beautiful and so was the area. The fans were a plus since we had a hot day. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Very dissatisfied

This property should not have been rented. When you ran the faucets all you could smell was sewer gas. I didn't want to shower because of the smell & therefore we left the house two nights early. We couldn't use the grill because the insides were rusted through. This house needs repairs before renting.

Great place for a pet friendly getaway

This place was perfect for our weekend stay with our 3 small dogs. We loved the beautiful lake view, the large deck with bbq and the firepit in the front yard. It is so hard to find a nice place that will allow us to bring our 3 small dogs. Peter was very friendly and accommodating and answered all our questions promptly. We would definitely stay here again.

A little old school but very nice

If you have children and a pet it's a perfect place you don't have to worry!! Everything worked communication was definitely good on the owners end. We had perfect weather but it's definitely a little damp but we brought some candles sprayed some spray and after cooking the smell went away. Overall I had a great time!!

Good times at Sawyer Lake

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for two nights. It was cute and comfortable. We had a nice time. It was our first time on Sawyer Lake. The people were friendly in the community.. We would go back.

Great location, quiet and peaceful

Great location, it was all we needed for our stay. The little private beach area at the lake was awesome and the water was beautiful! The layout of the house was great and felt very comfortable for 4 people. And the fans were appreciated! I would stay here again for sure.

Weekend stay while visiting family

The house, which is more of a cabin, was in a good location relative to Lake Winnipesaukee, which is where we were visiting family. The house was accurate to the listing except that it isn't lake front, it's across the street. Bedrooms are very small. Overall, it was good for what we needed it for as a place to sleep at night while enjoying the lakes region!

A small house on a pretty lake

Itā€™s a beautiful area of NH, not too far from Lake Winnapassake. The beach is right off the house, not crowded, clean and perfect for kids. The house has a nice porch, a well functioning grill and a fire pit. The house itself is small, the rooms very small, the single bathroom really small. The sink can really use some work. There is very little space to cook, little appliances, minimal things such hand soap, some coffee or other little things that you appreciate when you get to a rental house. No storage room in the kitchen or the rooms. No board games no books, a good TV. I would say that all and all, the house comes at a very good price and would be ideal for 4 people top who plan to spend most of the time outside.

Another great trip to Sawyer Lake!!

This is our 7th summer staying at Peter's cottage!! We love that we can bring our dog,thats its in a great location, its quiet & the lake view is awesome!! Thanks for another great stay Peter we'll be back in August!!

Stress free vacation

We stayed for 4 nights. Lots of room and the nice sandy beach was right there! The surrounding neighbors we very kind and friendly. The grill ran out of propane and as soon as I messaged the property owner he had a full tank there with in an hour!

Love it here!!!

This is our 7th summer up here!!! We found it yrs ago looking for a dog friendly rental on a lake & boom up came this place we come at least twice every summer so obviously we love it!! Cottage is rustic but reminds me of my childhood cottage=) Its rt across from the beach which is perfect & the lake view is amazing!!Even our dog loves it here!! Both neighbors on either side are awesome!! & Peter is an amazing host he's been so generous to us!! Thank u Peter u know how much we love to come here=) See u next summer Lake Sawyer!!

I donā€™t usually write reviews but felt l should for this property. Day 1, no contact from the host on how to check in, had to reach out to him. He finally called me back over an hour and a half after check in time to let me know that the door was unlocked. Walk onto the deck and the trash bins are all full. Walk inside and an overwhelming smell of urine. Trash bag in the kitchen was full and pizza boxes next to trash. The trash in the bathroom was also full. Open up the shower and there were wet towels piled inside. Beds were all made. We figured all dirty linens since it appeared nobody had cleaned. Contact with the host and he called back and said that he messed up, he had us coming the next day and that the cleaner would be there in the morning and I should tell her about the smell. He also said that he would refund us a night. Ok, fair enough. Day 2 I text the host in the afternoon to let him know the cleaner never showed. He responds oh no she told me she was going this morning let me find out. Never heard back from him. Day 3 I text him again, still no cleaner. He says he left cleaner another voicemail, he hopes thereā€™s nothing wrong with her. We were checking out the following day but left a day early. The host did issue a $300 refund.

Lake life

This property was as described. The host was excellent at responding to my questions. Perfect view and access to lake. Well stocked with everything you need. The only downside is the shower is extremely small and dark.
