The Athenian niche in Plaka" (180 sqm) is a 2-level house located in the same building as the "The Athenian Houses in Plaka" They actually share the same main entrance door. But apart from that, they are totally independent. If you happen to be a big group traveling together maybe you might need to rent both villas and have the whole building to yourselves

The House can accommodate up to 10 residents. It consists of 3 bedrooms, a big attic, 2 bathrooms, a water closet, a kitchen, a living & dining room, and a small patio and a balcony overlooking Lisiou street. Residents are allowed to use all of the houses premises.

Beautiful apartment in excellent location!

Anna’s apartment was perfect for our needs. The decor was beautiful with antiques and other lovely furniture. Only wish we had more time here!

Best Place to Stay in Athens!

When we arrived at the Athenian Niche house, it was so much more than we expected. The location is amazing and central to everything. No car is necessary to walk to sites like the Acropolis, shops, and restaurants are literary next to the entrance but we were not disturbed by any noise. The home itself is beautiful inside and if you enjoy to make a meal or two, the kitchen is wonderful. There are enough pots/pans and cooking utensils. Anna was superb and very gracious. She recommended places to see and was a true joy to deal with. The bedrooms are great and the bathrooms appear newly redone. My family couldn't have been happier with choosing this location for our visit to Greece. If we ever have the fortunate opportunity again to visit Greece, we will absolutely stay here again!! Thank you ANNA!!!

Great location

This hidden gem in the local neighborhood is a must for your stay in Athens. The apartment is clean, large and very accommodating for larger groups. The location was the best part! We were near all local tourist spots and there were plenty of amazing restaurants and shops within walking distance. Additionally, the owner was very helpful and arranged taxis for my family from the airport to the apartment. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and we highly recommend this location!

Great location

The property is fantastic! Location could not be better! Near shopping street & many wonderful places to eat. We quite enjoyed our stay. Anna is nice, but communication was not good. I had numerous conversations asking if I could increase our party of 5 to 7. She fully agreed & in several notes referenced our 7 people & charged the extra for 3 people as noted in our property payment, but when we arrived she charged an additional amount! Saying it was supposed to be extra for any person over 4 in our party per night & the additional EURs charged was only a 1 nite charge, not for all 3 nights. We had no choice but to pay the add collect. Obviously she knew about extra 3 peoples since a charge was in final payment but when I asked why all 3 nites werent charged she said she has many properties to manage & very busy & I needed to change online from 5 to 7 to properly calculate it. Yet she agreed to 7 & charged 1 nite. If she wanted me to do this, should have been communicated & calculated that way & it was not. Also she knew we had 7 since the 3 extra charges were included in the original payment. We also had a problem with our taxi arrangements. Anna was kind enough to set up rides. Much appreciated! However, we could not find one of our party in a wheelchair for near 2 hrs! The taxi driver kept saying it was ok not to worry, we should wait so we did. In the meantime, 1other person in our party arrived and Anna misunderstood that, too, and called me screaming and accused me of setting up extra people for rides she knew nothing about. Again, this was all in notes to her! I also was updating her continually via text & on VRBO site, but she didn't check them & was looking for me in WhatsApp. When she did phone, she yelled that we might do things like this in America, but not in Greece! I was very taken back at her behavior & understood why she was upset that we were late, but had she checked her communications all info was there. The morning of our dept, we needed 2 taxis at 6:15AM for 7 people to the airport. Mistakenly 1 cab was ordered for 2 people & driver had to make a call to get another car. Quite stressful morning. I will highly recommend this property for home & location. Just recap everything with Anna & recap again! (I had my printed VRBO notes, but she insisted on extra pay) Not saying charge was wrong but an unexpected surprise. Shoes were left & they were very helpful shipping them back on our FedEx acct. GREAT home poor communications.

Perfect place to explore Athens. Excellent in every way!

The apartment was clean, updated and nicely furnished. The neighborhood is perfect, with many great restaurants and we were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to visit and explore. The manager couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you!!

Amazing stay in an incredible location!

We had the best time during our stay in Anna's property! She was helpful, communicative, and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that we enjoyed all that Athens had to offer. The property itself was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable, and the location absolutely can't be beat. We packed a week's worth of food, tourism, and family togetherness into our two-night stay and would do it again in a heartbeat. Stay here--you won't regret it!

Best location! Highly recommend!

Best location in Athens! We highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Athens stay here. The description is accurate. The place was very clean and had more than we needed. Anna was very pleasant to deal with. She arranged our transportation to and from the airport. Our stay in Athens was wonderful! My wife and I have traveled to Greece a few times and have always had a wonderful time. This time was exceptional! The location was perfect restaurants, shops and many of the tourist attractions are very close by. The Ancient Roman Agora is about a 1-2 minute. The Acropolis museum is about 5-10 minute walk if you don’t stop at the many shops and restaurants along the way. The Ancient Agora and Temple of Hephaestus is a10 min walk. .Adrianou Street is 2 blocks away and here they have many many shops and restaurants. Syntagma square, Athens National Garden, Arch of Hadrian and the Temple of Olympian Zeus are a 10 minute walk. The next time we are in Athens we will definitely stay here. Fantastic Athens Plaka home and location

We stayed here during our visit to Athens and thoroughly enjoyed both the accommodations and the amazingly charming neighborhood. It is centrally locates to everything you’ll want to do in Athens. The hosts are amazing and went over and above to help us. We had a group of 10 including young children and teenagers. They all loved this place. We would highly recommend to anyone.

Perfect in Plaka

Lovely space in excellent location in Plaka. Property is larger than photos appear. We were 8 adults and had lots of room. Anna was very helpful and arranged perfect airport transfers. Excellent restaurants literally outside door but not over-crowded like other areas in Plaka. Thank you Anna for your place.

Lovely home in the best location

This is a beautiful apartment in a wonderful location. Extremely clean and well stocked. AC is efficient and everything was in great working order. We really enjoyed our stay. In addition to the fabulous apartment, the driver from the airport and the tour guide arranged for us were unbeatable. Filitsa was the best tour guide anyone could ask for! Only negative: The front bedroom is on a main area for restaurants so it is quite noisy at night. Only suggestions would be to provide some extra pillows and ear plugs. For other renters please note all bedrooms and showers require stairs to access.

Perfect Family House in Great Location

Anna was a dream to work with and helped me very much. The house was even better than expected. Very clean, very new... just perfect. All systems worked perfectly (AC, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Showers). Location was perfect. We walked everywhere within a couple of minutes. Would stay again for sure.

Perfect in the Plaka

As 2 families of four, the apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. The location was perfect, being central to everything. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, well maintained and outfitted with anything you could need. They, thankfully, let us store our luggage to accommodate our early arrival and late departures from Athens. Anna was very helpful with any request we might have. She's even arranged a special with the nearby cafe and restaurant for her guests. She really does think of everything! I would stay here again if ever in Athens and would highly recommend this property to others.

Definitely recommend!

The Athenian Niche was the perfect place to explore Athens! The property was exactly as shown and was gigantic. We were 5 of us and it was still too large. The location is unbelievable with 2 restaurants just outside your door and many many more within a very short 3 minute walk. The Parthenon was also very close with a very easy 15 min walk. My 72 year old mother in law had no issues getting around. If you like shopping there is so much to do so close by. I cannot say enough good things about the location. Everyone is so nice in Greece we would definitely do this trip again. Anna was very kind and provided daily tips on where to go for nightcaps. If this place is available grab it you will not be disappointed.

Top Unterkunft!! Absolut Empfehlenswert!! Lage, Sauberkeit, Platzangebot durchweg super

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut. Man läuft gute 5 Minuten und ist an der Akropolis. Auch der zentrale Syntagma Platz ist in ca. 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr gut ausgestattet, geräumig (für Gruppen bestens geeignet) und sehr sauber. Die Abwicklung mit Anna verlief auch optimal. Ich kann die Unterkunft daher vorbehaltslos empfehlen.

My family and I moved to Athens in 1974, where I completed high school and then got a degree in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus. I am now a real estate agent and, most importantly, a mother of 3. I am also a member of a history club. I love exploring cultures, traditions and cuisines from all over the world.
I am a very welcoming and friendly person and I get great pleasure in going out and about, continuously discovering secret corners in the lovely city of Athens with my friends and family. As a hostess, Ill be happy to share any tip you may need concerning Athenian gastronomy, nightlife and cultural events to make you feel welcome in my beautiful city.
