Malcesine Adventure

The apartment is very sparse and dated, but in a great location. The owner and his staff were great. The noise from the restaurant below could be troublesome for some guests. Younger people might be happier there than seniors.

I highly recommend staying here. The apartment was obviously recently renovated and it has the best location in town. We spent most evenings enjoying the view from the balcony while our son slept. The private parking is a huge bonus and Luigi was very friendly :) Our only issues were that we kept running out of hot water in the shower and that as it is quite cold in Italy this spring it was also very cold in the flat. But this was easily solved with slippers and layers so just be prepared. Our family would definetly visit again!

Lovely flat in a perfect location!

We loved this apartment. First, this may be the rare case where the apartment is actually bigger than it looks in the photos. Second, the location is amazing ā€” right on the harbor where the ferries come in. It was a quick walk to the funivia to get up the mountain, and easy to catch the ferry to Limone and Riva del Garda. The two couches both open up into beds, and are easily folded up again during the day. We were able to access our Amazon and Netflix accounts and watch our favorite shows on the TV. Or there were musical performances just outside each evening, and we could sit out on the balcony and listen. And Luigi was wonderful - very helpful and responsive. Using the AC tripped the circuit breaker a few times, but he showed us how to reset it. It was also great having both a dish washer and washing machine. After doing some hikes, we definitely needed to wash clothes. If we were to return to Malcesine, we would definitely stay here again. One tip - if you have to choose between Limone and Riva del Garda, choose Riva.

Perfect location

Luigi was easy to contact and replied to any questions quickly. He told us where to park and how to find him to get the keys to the apartment. It is in a pedestrian area and you cannot drive to the apartment. Once we arrived in the parking lot, my husband walked down to the restaurant where he met Luigi's employee, Allecio, who helped us with our bags, showed us the apartment, explained everything to us and then he went with my husband to retrieve our car from the public parking lot and take it to the private garage for the apartment. He was very friendly and very helpful and I cannot express how much we truly appreciated all his help. The apartment is in a perfect location, right at the harbor for easy access to ferries and itā€™s very easy to walk everywhere. The apartment is a very nice size and equipped with everything we needed including a washing machine. The pictures accurately reflect the apartment. The bed was very comfortable. One of the best features was the balcony, which we used nightly. The apartment overlooks the harbor and we had wonderful views. I would definitely recommend Luigiā€™s apartment to anyone looking for a very clean and safe apartment in a perfect location.

Happiness in Malcesine

From the moment we arrived at the apartment we were made welcome and everything that was needed was there. Our plane was delayed, yet much kindness was offered to us to ensure our comfort The layout is perfect. The linen and towels are of quality . A modern lift or and an easy stair case provide access to the rest of the building.. A long Balcony, overlooking the Piazza, was put to use everyday that provides stunning views of the Lake Garda and the distant shore. It is thrilling to watch the boats ferries. First class for breakfast and evening drinks . Providing and excellent viewing point for people watching. In the time we were visiting Malcesine, there were several events on. The balcony provided us with the best seats in the house for a fabulous Opera concert staged on an old and beautiful sailing boat turned across the Harbour to face the balcony! As an Opera singer, I was delighted!! Luigi and his lovely wife own the properties and the restaurant of the ground floor. The restaurant offers everything you could possibly want, with friendly and helpful staff. My friend of 40 years was with me, who has mobility issues. She did not think she would ever be able to holiday again. The apartment was perfect for her. The ONLY thing is that there was no toaster!!!!! A huge thank you Luigi .

Great Location!

The location could not have been better - so enjoyable sitting on the balcony watching all the comings and goings in the harbour below. Very clean and adequately equipped apartment and close to all amenities. Malcesine is an extremely pretty small town. The owner, Luigi, also runs the cafe/restaurant below, welcomed us warmly and was extremely helpful. We thoroughly recommend.

Optimale Lage, natĆ¼rlich nicht in ruhigster Lage, die ankommenden und abfahrenden Boote hinterlassen ihre GerƤuschkulisse. Zu beachten ist, dass ein Auto nicht unmittelbar am Objekt geparkt werden kann. Doch es besteht eine eigene Garage und der Weg ist kurz.

Right in Malcesine!

What an ideal location. So handy for the waterfront and to see everythi g going on from the balcony. Easy to catch the boats which leave from the harbour out front ! It's in the middle of town so expect some noise of course but you can close the windows and use aaircon. We preferred to have the windows open.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location

We had a fantastic four night stay in this lovely apartment. It is in such a convenient location for ferries, restaurants and shops and has wonderful views of the cafes and ferries and we loved sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. Luigi was a very good host and we loved everything about Malcesine. There was a gentle buzz about the place and very good choice of eating places. The mountainous scenery around just adds to the charm.

Great apartment in beautiful Malcesine

Would highly recommend this apartment in Malcesine. Luigi is a wonderful host, meeting us as arranged and helping with our luggage and car parking. The apartment is perfectly located on the lake front right near the ferry port. It is spacious and has everything you need. Great views over Lake Garda. Great cafes and restaurants nearby.

Das Objekt liegt ideal fĆ¼r AusflĆ¼ge jeder Art. Die Einrichtung ist einfach aber sauber. An Ausstattung ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Luici und das Personal der Pizzeria, als Ansprechpartner, sind sehr freundlich und jederzeit entgegenkommend. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden auf alle FƤlle wieder kommen.

Great apartment, perfect location, fantastic owner!

So much to recommend! Spotlessly clean, fantastic location right on the port in the centre of town, very quiet (windows were double-glazed and there was air conditioning), secure (lots of locks plus a small safe in the apartment), bright, spacious and airy. Luigi was a brilliant host - always on hand to help and provide whatever we needed. There's no washing machine but he let us use the machine at his restaurant. The decor is a bit spartan but it was functional and we were very comfortable. Excellent WiFi too. Highly recommended!

GroƟzĆ¼gige Wohnung mit wunderbarem Hafenblick

Wir waren 10 Tage zu zweit in der Wohnung in der 1. Etage (es gibt noch weitere, auch in anderen Etagen) und wĆ¼rden wiederkommen. Luigis ErlƤuterungen per Mail, dann Phone, waren notwendig, er hat auf Nachfragen prompt und zuvorkommend-freundlich reagiert. Man muss wissen, dass man kurzzeitig zum Aus-/Einpacken auf der Piazza Statuto parkt (1 Std. fĆ¼r 2 EUR), dann ca. 4 Min. zur Wohnung geht. Wir hatten einen Garagenplatz reserviert (noch weiter weg), was auch praktisch war. Der Ausblick vom Balkon beim FrĆ¼hstĆ¼ck usw. war ein lebendiges Wimmelbild, immer Neues, und RegelmƤƟiges zu entdecken. Wenn es heiƟ ist, kann man die Klimaanlage benutzen. Was man mƶgen muss: - Die Kochnische beinhaltet Herd, Backofen, Mikrowelle, KĆ¼hlschrank m. Gefrierfach, was man zum Selberkochen so braucht. Tƶpfe eher schlicht, aber funktionabel. Pfanne ggf. mitbringen, ebenso Reinigungszeug. - Da die Wohnung am Hafenkarree liegt, gibt es dort bis weit nach Mitternacht entsprechende GerƤusche, incl. StraƟenmusikanten, die oft gut sind, manchmal nicht. Die FensterlƤden dƤmmen die GerƤusche (und tagsĆ¼ber die Hitze) etwas ab. Der Ort eignet sich natĆ¼rlich zum Wassersport, KieselstrƤnde (Wasserschuhe!) sind ein paar hundert M entfernt. An den HƤngen des Baldo kann man schƶne Wanderungen unternehmen. Die Seilbahn auf den Mt. Baldo sollte man antizyklisch benutzen (z.B. vor 9 Uhr da sein, besser noch frĆ¼her) - wenn mann gerne Schlange steht, so 2-3 Stunden, ist man ab 10h genau richtig. Mit dem Boot kann man auch andere Orte anfahren, auf alle FƤlle "Limone" gegenĆ¼ber. Ein Eurospar (und auch ein kleiner Despar) ist in der NƤhe, ebenso unzƤhlige Restaurants fĆ¼r alle Geldbeutel.
