The property is conveniently located in a busy corridor of northwest San Antonio near the Medical Center with quick and easy access to interstate travel, upscale restaurants, varied shopping malls, theme parks, grocery stores, and downtown San Antonio’s River Walk and Market Square. Military bases are only short distances away. The property is near USAA, Valero, UT Health Science Center, UTSA, La Cantera/Rim Shopping centers, and Six Flags/Fiesta Texas.

At the same time, you will find privacy and quiet once you drive onto the shady, oak-laden estate. Large outdoor spaces are available and include a front yard rock patio and a back yard deck for hanging out and relaxing. The grounds include a ranch-style main home and workshop, and the acreage provides ample space for all. Don’t be surprised to see deer grazing on the property and neighbors riding their horses around the area. After all, this is Texas country!

The retreat property has a pleasant, soothing ambience. It is spacious, fully furnished and complete with linens, kitchen ware, coffee makers, cable TV, internet service, washer/dryer, and iron/ironing board. Its 2-bedrooms, 1-bathroom with shower are tastefully decorated with all the comforts that make you feel right at home. The bedrooms have queen beds that sleep 4 comfortably.

There are three alternative seating areas for reading, conversations, or media. Villa Encino is stocked with games—Rummikub, Scrabble, Cards, Checkers, and Chess. Or you can try your luck at pitching some horseshoes!

This is a wonderful gem tucked away in a great little neighborhood. It's close to everything in San Antonio and when they say you can watch deer stroll by it isn't like a hopeful, one time thing. It's whenever you're there. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make your own food and there's an HEB and Starbucks just a few minutes away. Beautiful place and great hosts.

Read the glowing comments from others about peace, quiet, location, hosts. I'll simply say ditto, and comment more on the incredible completeness of the facilities. Fully supplied kitchen includes two types of coffee maker, toaster, essentially new non-stick pans carefully stored, dishwasher, trash compactor, charcoal for the bbq, all the paper goods you could need. Crystal wine goblets, multiple recliners including the couch, huge TV, Wifi, luggage racks and on and on. This is the best appointed VRBO I've ever run into, even internationally.

Relaxing stay

This is our second time staying here and very comfortable as always. The property is very clean and quiet. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife from the back porch and eating at the table in the back. We will stay here again for sure.

A hill country vibe in the middle of SAT.

I am from SAT and was visiting my parents. We really loved this little place. You would never know you were 2 minutes from I-10 because it was so quite and peaceful. We enjoyed seeing the deer and other wildlife that frequent the property. It was easy to find and easy to get anywhere you needed to go in SAT or the hill country. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for the tranquility that you offered during our stay.

Business Trip

Guest house located on a spacious property with total privacy. The two bedroom cottage had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and was located conveniently near a highway with 15 access to downtown/riverwalk. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The hosts are wonderful and go above and beyond to accommodate their guests.

Rest and Relaxation

We came to San Antonio for a medical procedure. This was the perfect cozy home for peace and recovery. We enjoyed walking the propery and watching all of the deer. Annual Texas Visit

Wonderful Property

Such a delightful place! Everything was as described - the privacy, Texas decor, deer sightings, amenities - and we felt at home the minute we arrived. The hosts are amazing and were very considerate and thoughtful of us throughout our stay. Definitely recommend!

Life among the oaks is a beautiful life! Villa Encino offers country acreage in the heart of busy city living. When you drive onto our property, you can feel at ease. But also convenient to all city luxuries within a few minutes. Restaurants, shopping, golfing, adventure parks, and military bases! You will love our place!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

You are quickly within reach of major shopping (LaCantera) and entertainment (Palladium theatre, Six Flags), a variety of wonderful restaurants (Wild Fish, Paesanos, Magnolia Pancakes), and the medical center. And view is hard to beat! Green belts and wildlife. Doesn't get any better!
