Charming gîte in an old Vosges farmhouse isolated from the village

This charming 3-star gîte, a small part of the Hautes Vosges, located in the heart of nature, will seduce you with its calm and authenticity. Tranquility, nature, sport, hiking, lazing around or exploring the many centers of interest in the region will delight you.

Spacious, able to accommodate 3 to 4 people, 80 m² of comfort for a pleasant stay. Living room, kitchen, fireplace, bathroom, bowling green, barbecue, etc., everything is in place for a good vacation.


Welcome to the Gite de 'la Piéviche'

   Christine and Gilbert open the doors to their little corner of paradise.
Whether it is a type of holiday: discovery, gastronomic, relaxation or sport, good addresses will hold no secrets for our two nature lovers.
A multitude of activities is available to you, we provide you with abundant and up-to-date documentation.

An exceptional environment to discover preserved flora and fauna. Nature is there, more present than ever, it will rejuvenate you.

This cottage where modern and authentic are in perfect harmony, will seduce you with its comfort and its warm atmosphere.
Your accommodation has a private entrance, a large living room, a fireplace with integrated kitchen and lounge area. You will find 2 bedrooms upstairs, a bathroom with corner bath and shower.
The bedrooms are made up of a double bed (160X200) for one and two single beds (90X190) for the other.
You have a covered shelter overlooking a private and closed garden as well as on the pétanque field.
A linen service, with rental of sheets is available. You also have the cleaning fee.


Your living room

   Facing south west, you will feel at home in this large living room of 25 m2. Everything is done to make this spacious place breathe relaxation and well-being.
The fireplace, with insert for more security, will delight your eyes and warm your bodies.
The quality sofa invites you to travel in our fir-laden mountains.
The coffee table: it is the mania of the farm used by the host of the place in his youth. Sit comfortably and enjoy the fireplace, the silence, the many decorative elements present that breathe the authenticity of the Vosges farm.
Straw chopper, hay rake, butter churn and other tools are exposed to your sight and your imagination. On the ceiling, the exposed beams further reinforce the feeling of standing in your haven of peace. Discover the forge bellows of the neighboring village, it was still working the previous decade.
Turn your head, through the window let your gaze dive into the nest of greenery that surrounds us. It is also a nice place to watch the birds nesting around. Admire squirrels, deer and sometimes the passage of deer and wild boars.



Your kitchen

   The kitchen area with a surface of 20m2 is arranged around a pleasant integrated kitchen in white limed oak listed in red. Functional, pretty and clear it will seduce you immediately.
The kitchen area is equipped with all the necessary comfort (LL, LV, MO,…) as well as a battery of small household appliances (coffee maker, kettle, stone, raclette, fondue, pressure cooker, toaster, waffle maker, radio / CD, microwave etc ...) as well as household products.

The adult room

   The quality of the bedding is the subject of all attention. Choice: pillows or bolsters just ask.
Wooden floor, exposed beams and English style tapestry exudes a feeling of softness. Dresser and solid wood wardrobe provide the necessary storage. To make your life easier, two bedside lamps and a mood lamp give privacy to your interior. An Alsatian cradle and a small wooden rocking bed serve as decoration or bed for your baby up to six months.
Dolls, teddy bears and flowers complete the romantic atmosphere for this room which is dedicated to you.
From the window, you can see the forest and a meadow of several hectares. Cows and horses rub shoulders there, often joined by our wildlife friends. It is also an ideal observatory for the flight and hunting of raptors. Variable buzzards, kestrels, goshawks and hawks share the sky, the brush and the meadows.

Our visitors appreciate the quality of sleep in the calm of the Vosges nights.


Children's room

   This room is equipped with two 1.90 X 0.90 beds with excellent quality bedding.
Here reigns the chalet atmosphere. Wooden floors, paneling on the walls, exposed beams, red in the dominant color.
Two windows, including a bull's-eye, offer light and view. Two bedside lamps and a mood lamp provide very soft lighting.
Red is king. The duvets, the carpet, the light fixture and the blackout curtain enhance this set of woods. The mountain spirit is omnipresent.
Bears, big and small, spy on us from the top of the fir wardrobe.
Like the other bedroom, the two windows are observation points for admiring nature.


The bathroom

   Space and light, a very pleasant bathroom awaits you.
A good quality shower cabin allows those in a hurry to shower. Want to laze around? aim for relaxation in the corner bathtub.
The large cabinet with two basins fitted with numerous drawers is surmounted by an imposing mirror.

A glance through the window: in focus the CLIMONT and the VOYEMONT, two peaks that can be hiked from the cottage.


Your activities

   Presentation of the activities less than an hour from the gîte de La Pièviche:

   You arrive in a region where whatever the season, you will find all kinds of leisure.
The Pedestrian Hike (16,500 km of path marked out by the Vosges club over the entire massif, including 400 km around our valley) is an undeniable attraction. Our nearby mountains can be discovered from the gîte.
From La Pièviche come and treat yourself to the surrounding peaks, the ORMONT, the VOYEMONT, the CLIMONT, the CHAUMES DE LUSSE. At your fingertips, BREZOUARD, KASTELBERG, HOHNECK, and many others. These easily accessible peaks will offer you sublime panoramas. Take advantage of these clear days which allow you to see Mont Blanc, the Grandes Jorasses and the Swiss Alps.
The spectacle of the great circus of nature is too good not to linger there. Here, when hiking, the breaks are longer than usual.

You can practice a wide variety of water sports (canoeing, sailing, etc.), air sports (adventure park, paragliding, hot air ballooning, bungee jumping), wheel sports (mountain biking, karting), skiing, fishing, horse riding.

Cultural outings are not to be outdone. The many museums, monuments, exhibitions, the history of the region (we have been at the crossroads of struggles between empires for more than 2000 years), thematic meetings (festivals of geography, minerals, cinematography, Patcwork ...), floral parks ...

Let us not forget the gastronomy, omnipresent in all the valleys and on all the slopes. Nearby, the Alsace wine route will excite your taste buds.


Christmas

The poetry and magic of a Christmas in the Vosges. Remembrance in our memories of the joys of childhood, wonderful world of Christmas.

From the beginning of December, come and discover the many Christmas markets so close to our cottage. Enjoy the enchantments of the small Vosges and Alsatian villages that have kept conviviality and authenticity. With a little luck, if Mother Nature is accommodating, from December come and put on the snowshoes or slide on the snow-covered slopes.

Each year, from the first days before, the Pièviche puts on its festive clothes. Christmas invites itself here, in every corner of the cottage. We hang the wreath on the door, we decorate the big tree with the delicious smell in the living room, we install the crib near the fireplace. Branches and garlands wind around the hearth. From the kitchen to the bedrooms, the little Christmas rituals are revealed like the pages of a tale.
