Just two hours North of NYC, in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, lies this beautifully renovated 1800’s farm house nestled into 52 beautiful acres of rolling meadows and hardwood forest. Take your family and friends away this season for a wonderful and affordable vacation getaway. Experience breathtaking views, abundant wildlife, a fresh water pond and leave this peaceful place with lifelong memories and a recharged spirit. Common tourist attractions include such places as Hunter and Windham Mountains, Saratoga Racetrack, Woodstock, The State Capital in Albany, Howe Caverns and the Hudson Antique Shops just to name a few.

This beautiful place was originally a small dairy farm and I have personally performed all the renovations to include all the comforts of modern living while maintaining its original 1800's charm. It boasts original wide plank flooring, hand-hewn beams, vaulted ceilings and old world craftsmanship.

There are 52 magnificent acres to hike on, dozens of fruit trees that attract abundant wildlife, a fresh water spring fed pond on the property that can be viewed from the house and outside deck and many picturesque views of the Catskill Mountains from various locations from within the house and property.

Amazing Spot To Relax and Hang Out!!

The house and property were beautiful!! Very secluded and private. Had all the amenities you could ask for and the most beautiful views from the higher elevation spots on the property. Extremely well-kept house and plenty of beds. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and get away from things.

Family Gathering

This property was perfect! Plenty of room to spread out and still cozy. The exterior space was beautiful, from the two decks to the fire pit on the hill and the 360 degree views. It is an old farmhouse, but we had everything we needed.

What a wonderful respite! The house had everything we needed (an incredibly well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, towels/linens, plenty of space) and the property was breathtaking. Convenient to numerous towns, hiking, and activities. Just really lovely.

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay in this rustic farmhouse. It's loaded with character, displaying relics of days gone by and original features of the house. Everything was clean and tidy with a well stocked kitchen and multiple areas inside and out to enjoy each other's company or get away for a quiet moment. It's a working farm, and our host cut paths in the hay fields for us to wander. The firepit behind the house gives a wonderful view of the surrounding fields and a chance to see deer in the early mornings and evenings...we did! Our host was marvelous at communicating and ensured that we were happy and comfortable, especially during a power outage in the area. The surrounding area is full of things to do and see, whether you stay fairly local or want to venture further afield.

Beautiful property

Lovely house (fully renovated) with all comfort needed. Amazing views, including lots of wildlife. Well stocked kitchen and amazing south facing deck. Great place to recharge for a few days but at the same time only 10 minutes drive to Coxsackie (for coffee and some lovely restaurants) or 40 for great Catskills hiking trails.

Relaxing getaway from nyc

We loved the house and the well kept land that surrounded it. One of our favorites was sitting by the firepit outside and viewing the hundreds of stars that filled the night sky. It was also the first time we played board games together and some were already provided by the host. Communication was clear and we plan on coming back in the near future. Thank you very much for having us!

Heavenly Retreat!

What a charming home. My family and I spent a week with our dog at this lovely renovated farmhouse. We had a wonderful time cooking together and relaxing. There are acres to explore through cleared trails, abundant fruit trees and wildlife everywhere. We even saw a porcupine while we were gathering some apples. This was a perfect escape from the city. We would definitely come back. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer to deal with. Thank you Chris and Treacy

Beautiful home and property

My boyfriend and I were looking to find a property that was beautiful, not too far from the city and peaceful. This place is it. It was a lovely experience. The house itself was very charming, all amenities were working, hot water, great heat and the kitchen had your basic needs if you were planning on cooking. The house was very cozy and it is very secluded. We did not leave the house while on our stay so I can not speak much for the town, but the land was gorgeous and very well kept. The owners had fresh wood in the shed we were able to use to make a fire in the evenings and a beautiful deck to hang out on and catch some views in the early mornings. If you are looking to be with nature, have some peace and quiet and not have to travel too far from the city, I highly recommend. We are looking forward to traveling back to this house in the future.

Perfect for Nature lovers !!!

Communication with the owners was great . Easy directions to a beautiful secluded farmhouse . We stayed in this nature’s heaven with not much expectations but once we got there was beautiful and clean . The property has endless private fields for hiking . In the morning we sat on the deck for coffee and breakfast and we felt very in touch with the nature with many deer and all kinds of birds , rabbits and a few turtles in the pond . At night we stargazed and saw infinite stars and fireflies. We also used the top hill fire pit enjoying the amazing views of the property . We stayed on the property the whole time and can’t say much about the area . Wi-Fi works great , satellite TV was convenient and the kitchen had everything we needed. If you are looking for a peaceful way to get in touch with nature this is the place . Our dog loved the quite and the sounds of the birds . Don’t forget this is a country house and nature will always be close by . Thank you for having us and we are planing our return in the future . Best, Marcia & Paul

Very beautiful and comfortable properly.

This country farmhouse has all the charm you would expect, and has also been updated to make it very comfortable. The appliances are excellent and the showers work well. Everything you could need is available, including a fully equipped kitchen, paper products, some necessities in the refrigerator, and extra linens. The property is gorgeous, with walking trails and stunning views. The privacy and outdoor space make this place truly special and unique. We had a great time there! Thank you to our wonderful hosts.

Quaint farm property with large, private grounds

We had a lovely time. Farmhouse is cozy with updates, nice views of rolling hills and pond, and great Firepit. Trails lead to woods. Surrounding areas have lake for swimming/boating and hiking/swimming holes. Overall nice stay in the country.

Farm stay

Property was as represented in the photos and description. Great kitchen, dining area, and living room. We particularly enjoyed getting up early and sitting on the deck listening to the birds. Perfect for a family get together .
