Historic farmhouse near Telemark Canal

Stay together in a character-filled historic Norwegian farmhouse in the heart of Telemark. The entire house is yours, with four bedrooms and room for up to 15 guests: 13 fixed beds plus two collapsible beds. It is ideal for large families, several families travelling together, groups of friends and multigenerational holidays.

The house combines authentic character with modern comforts. There are two family rooms, two further bedrooms and two bathrooms—one with a shower, and one with both a shower and bathtub. High-capacity fibre Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, generous living rooms and separate dining areas make longer stays comfortable.

One of the house’s most memorable features is the traditional wood-fired bread oven in the old cellar, which guests can use to make pizza together. Outside, you have a large private garden, a children’s playhouse, outdoor furniture, a firepit and a sauna tent. Guests are welcome to explore the forest belonging to the property and pick apples, plums, cherries and currants when in season.

Vrangfoss Locks—the largest lock complex on the Telemark Canal—is about a 10-minute walk or 5-minute drive away. Norsjø Golfpark is around 10 minutes by car, and Bø Sommarland is about 30 minutes away. Ulefoss, local shops and services are approximately 8 minutes away, while Lunde is the nearest railway station.

Free parking and EV charging are available on site. The parking area can accommodate guests arriving in larger vehicles, but it is part of the house rental and is not a separate motorhome or camping pitch. Pets are not allowed. Please note that this is a historic house with stairs and is not fully step-free.
