The house and yard are a bit messy, although our grandsons made good use of the grass area as a soccer field. The inside is a nice old house made quite comfortable and kept clean. Part of the charm was that our children grew up in a house of almost the same vintage (1915). The AC and hot water worked effectively for 16 people on hot days, having six bathrooms was very important. Rebecca responded to my texts within minutes and was on hand to greet us when we arrived. The proximity to the National Recreation Area, the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range, and the Heart Mountain Interment Camp gave us excellent activities for the six days we were there. The town of Lovell has good food and gasoline service.

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. It means a lot to know the old house brought back memories of your children's own home and that the grass area got put to good use as a soccer field for the grandsons. We're glad the A/C and hot water kept up for a group of 16 on hot days, and that having six bathrooms made things easier for everyone. It's wonderful that the location gave you easy access to the National Recreation Area, the Pryor Mountain Wild Horse Range, and the Heart Mountain site, along with everything Lovell has to offer. We're so happy quick communication and a warm welcome helped make your six days comfortable and memorable.

Relaxing to come back to after being out and about!

The "old farm house" was clean, comfortable, and just outside of town. Bedrooms for everyone with their own bathroom was a plus! Would definitely stay here again!

Great Property

This was an excellent property for our family group. We were there for a wedding and had plenty of space for six family groups ranging from one to four individuals in each group. I would definately stay here again.

Cody Wyoming 2024

What a great old house not to far from just about anywhere. Big Horn Mountains, Cody Wypming, Beartooth Mountains and Yellowstone all within a short ride. The house itself was fabulous. The remodel of this old farmhouse was tastefully done. Lots of room for the four couple on our motorcycle trip.

Sugar Farm revealed

The house definitely has a charm all its own! We have seen that house all our lives and it was wonderful to finally get to go inside. The lack of carpet made it difficult to put kids to bed on the floor, a fact that wasn't readily obvious to me in the pictures. Thankfully we had air mattresses, pac n plays and there was 1 cot available so it worked out. There are several remotes for lights and fans in the bedrooms. They were confusing; some instructions would have been helpful and new batteries. Having a bathroom in each bedroom was fabulous! That in itself made for a more peaceful stay! Lol there was plenty of bedding and towels. The kitchen isn't very workable but that is true to form in a house that old. Also it is minimally stocked for cooking for a large group, barely sufficient. The dishwasher is not attached to the cupboard so you have to baby it. All the appliances worked and there was plenty of room in the refrigerator/freezer for our needs. Before guests arrive mouse traps should be removed for children's safety. Older homes are hard to maintain and a pristine atmosphere should not be expected. The house has many built-ins and other architectural features we enjoyed. A history of the place with pictures would be a really nice addtion. We would have liked some outdoor facilities for activities even a picnic table would have been nice. There are none. The basement should be blocked off, I don't think its a safe area. As it was we still enjoyed stay.

We had family and friends here for a wedding. Everyone had their own bed and it was so nice.

This house is sooo spacious. Bedrooms were all very nice size. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

This is a must for large families

We had a wonderful stay and Gary was great to communicate with. The family was going boating near by and had a big place to park the boat and all the cars. The house is original and had plenty of bathrooms for everyone and a nice area to eat. The yard is a nice place to play for all the teens and adults that were there. Gary was nice enough to let us check in a little early and check out a little late due to others schedules. The only real downside or suggestion I would have would be mosquito control. First night was fine with a little bug spray but WOW, second night they were fierce. It would be great if the property has a CO2 machine to help pull the mosquitos away from the house. We played a lot outside and even with bug spray they got us. Again, just a small suggestion but overall we had a wonderful experience and would certainly stay again!!!

Big, old and unloved

The house is big. Bathtubs and showers were old , the clawfoot tub looked awful. Comforters and blankets were old and heavy and I could not imagine sleeping under them. Beds were not well made, and looked uninviting. Cookware needs to be replaced. Housekeeper left a note that felt like she was yelling at us before we even settled in. I would not recommend this property to my friends

Very cozy

We felt like home. Gary super polite, very nice person. The house is perfect for big families or a group of couples. You have access to stores and gas station near you. Excellent choice.

Perfect for Large Family

This house was perfect for our large family of 12. This house had 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms which makes it wonderful not having to share with so many travelers. The shocking aspect is they had hot water for days; normally not water is depleted quickly after everyone is showering but the hot water here stayed hot for a long time. The property was perfectly nestled not to far from Big Horn Basin and Canyon. Beautiful National Park. Also there are several waterfalls not to far from the property that are absolutely gorgeous. Property is also not to far from Cody; where we spent a day and did the rodeo. Also, simple drive to Yellowstone. If you have a big family this is the house to rent.

Perfect for our group!

It’s hard to find places to stay in the area and this home worked perfect for us and a couple of other families to stay while in the area for a family reunion. Each bedroom having its own bathroom is awesome! All bathrooms have small walk in showers except the bedroom with 2 queen beds just has a bathtub…. So may want to keep that in mind for who would be using that room. Gary was very nice to work with and the house was clean. Staying in a house that’s over 100 years old brings some different, querky, squeaky aspects that are easy to look past or even appreciate but one thing I wish was different was that none of the bedrooms had locks on them…. I don’t think any of the bathroom doors do either. Not a deal breaker at all though and would definitely stay there again! The A/C and ceiling fans kept the home plenty cool in the summer and it wasn’t listed as an amenity but there’s a washer and dryer for use and that’s a major plus! Awesome home!

The house was perfect for what we needed. It was so nice to have a bathroom in every bedroom and plenty of rooms with extra beds for families with small kids. It worked perfect for our stay.

Family reunion weekend

All the room we needed for our large family gathering . Loved having the number of bathrooms for everyone. We really enjoyed our first afternoon on the sun porch.

Great time!!

Looking for a roomy place for family to meet up?! This is the place! Big large farm house, awesome host, great small town! The kiddos played football in the yard while the adults enjoyed the large wrap around porch! The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. The town, while small, offers just about anything you actually need. The rooms all had ample linen and the house is furnished well. If you come at harvest, just know there is a sugar beet factory across the street, so the nights do include the noises of sugar being brought to life 🤣 but our stay was fantastic!
