Secluded Treehouse on the Hawkesbury River

The Treehouse is an architecturally designed red-cedar cottage set high on the riverbank with a private jetty and spectacular water views. The house has two queen beds furnished with luxurious linen and cotton. The main bedroom is on a mezzanine level and overlooks the living area which has a cosy combustion fire. The house runs off collected rainwater.
We have been hosting guests at the Treehouse for over a decade and are genuinely committed to making your stay relaxing and memorable.
We offer all guests a 5pm Sunday checkout (11am weekdays)

• Free Wifi and 43" HD TV with Netflix, Apple TV, Stan, Binge, Disney+
• All linens included: luxury linen and cotton bedding, contemporary bath towels.
• Car access to front door
• Private water-frontage
• Two bedrooms with queen beds
• Bathroom with separate shower and bath
• Slow combustion fire and firewood
• Gas heating
• Well equipped kitchen with gas cooktop and fan oven
• Dishwasher, microwave
• Gas BBQ
• Ground coffee, tea, coffee macchinetta and plunger

The property and the location are excellent, however we happened to be there during very hot weather and the heat inside the property was very uncomfortable. There is no air conditioning or ceiling fans and so we were forced to run portable fans at high speed to try and stay cool. Outside of this, everything was exceptional. The host was very accomodating and responsive and the place was very well equipped. If we went at a slightly cooler time of year we would give it 5 stars.

Tremendously Tranquil Treehouse

Superbly decorated and sublimely welcoming, we were comfortable and happy from the moment we drive down the drive. The tree house is exceptionally well appointed and clean, worthy of a five star hotel. Thankyou!

Relaxing Treehouse stay

When we walked in the place and the view were amazing.The provisions for cooking was above what we expected, including the herbs, sauces, jams, oil, paper towel and all the cooking equipment you could possibly want.The fire wood was well stocked.We had a very relaxing weekend and would recommend this accommodation.

Pure bliss

Staying at Tim and Scott’s Secluded Treehouse on the Hawkesbury River was an experience I’ll never forget! From the moment I stepped into the stunning red-cedar cottage, I felt completely at peace. Perched high on the riverbank with a private jetty and breathtaking water views, the location couldn’t have been more perfect for a peaceful retreat. Though Tim and Scott weren’t there in person, everything was thoughtfully prepared, and their communication beforehand made the check-in process smooth and effortless. Walking into the house, I was immediately struck by how cozy yet modern it felt. The two queen beds were incredibly comfortable, with luxurious cotton and Belgian linens that made me feel like I was staying at a high-end boutique hotel. The mezzanine bedroom with its view of the living room was such a cozy touch—I loved spending the evenings there, with a cup of tea. What I really loved was how easy it was to just unwind and forget about the world here. Every little touch—whether it was the quality of the linens, the thoughtful kitchen supplies, or even the simple pleasure of sitting by the fireplace—made it feel like a true escape. This treehouse is a hidden gem, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to recharge and enjoy some peaceful time away. I’m already dreaming about my next stay!

Beautiful property

An absolutely stunning property on the river. Fantastic views and incredibly peaceful. As other reviews mention, the house is very comfortable with great little touches everywhere. The kayaks and fireplace wonderful too. Thank you for a lovely stay.

TREEHOUSE STORY

loved the peace and serenity of the Treehouse - it is a really magical place. I wished for a little more transparency in terms of how steep the driveway is. I resorted to leaving car at the top of driveway on the road and hoping not to hit by any passing traffic. Also wished there was some heating in the bathroom. Because the house was in the shadows for most of the day the bathroom constantly had condensation for all of the day. However, would I return - ABSOLUTELY!! Loved it. Well down owners.

Bush retreat

Peaceful picturesque house on the Hawkesbury that is so close to Sydney but feels so far away. Loved being surrounded by the bush with beautiful views across the river to the cliffs. Tastefully decorated, with well stocked kitchen and BBQ and a range of lovely spots to relax and read, from the balcony down to the riverfront hammock with kayaks nearby.

Serene and peaceful

Loved our stay at the Treehouse property. It's just the perfect size, thoughtfully decorated, very clean and thoughtful supplies in kitchen etc. Sitting on the deck amongst the trees was my favourite, and heading down to the private water area with kayaks available was great. Highly recommend and will stay again.

This property was incredible. It was a great stay. The owners thought of everything we could possibly need. The view was spectacular, and the house was so warm and cosy positioned between the trees.i would recommend 100% and will be reffering to family and friends.

Hawksbury River treehouse

The view was stunning, the accommodation was delightful. Wonderful well equipped kitchen, we didn’t experience any of the frustrations which are typical of holiday rentals. The Treehouse had it all. I would certainly recommend for a lovely relaxing spot. The owners have gone over and above.
