Kosy Grove is the perfect setting for a relaxing stay in the quiet countryside. The property has remained in the same family for 5 generations, and invite you to share in the beauty of this farm. The elegantly appointed house has been fully updated and has free wifi. The first floor offers several gathering areas to relax, read or enjoy time outside with the sunrises and sunsets.

The full kitchen has a range/oven and refrigerator (no dishwasher or disposal). The large dining room easily seats 10+ guests. Enjoy your favorite book in the enclosed side porch or on the front porch. Forget your book? We have plenty to choose from!

The grounds offer plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy time outside. The large front veranda provides a spectacular view of the sunset with the horses quietly grazing in the pasture to the west. The Gazebin (grain bin converted into a gazebo) has ample seating and a gas firepit. With the chandelier and Edison lighting, it is perfect to enjoy your favorite beverage. Yard games like cornhole & croquet are available for your use.

First Floor - Full kitchen, large dining room that seats 10+, living room with tv/wifi, parlor bedroom with ensuite bath, half bath, enclosed porch
Second Floor - 4 bedrooms, the 4th bedroom is accessed from a bedroom as well as the back stairs to the kitchen

Nearby attractions include:
Van Meter State Park & Missouri's American Indian Cultural Center are located approx. 4 miles northeast. The park offers hiking trails, boating and 18-acre fishing lake. Kayaks and canoes are available to rent.

Marshall is a 15-minute drive including Missouri Valley College, the Nicholas Beazley Aviation Museum, Jim the Wonder Dog Memorial Garden, Indian Hills Park with swimming pool and golf course.

Historic Arrow Rock and the Lyceum Theater are a 30-minute drive from Kosy Grove.

Baltimore Bend Winery and Peters Orchards (apples and peaches) are located to the west along Highway 24.

Don't forget to visit the numerous small towns on the Central Missouri Loop (centralmoloop.com).

Our family stayed at your stately Kosy Grove estate home in late September. We had gathered to honor the life of my mother by burying her ashes in nearby Avalon, Missouri. We all traveled from other states to be there for the weekend and your home provided a very special gathering place for us. Some of us were able to stay at Kosy Grove on both Friday and Saturday evenings and some of our family was only able to spend the late afternoon and early evening on Saturday, at your gorgeous, welcoming house. In the short time that all nine of us were able to spend at Kosy Grove, we savored the time together on the front porch just being with one another and talking. What a panoramic view we enjoyed, including watching the grazing horses! The most vivid memory of our time together at Kosy Grove will be the supper we shared in your spacious, regal dining room. It was perfect! The five of us who stayed on Friday and Saturday nights, loved the beautifully decorated bedrooms and very comfortable beds. Your home was a place of joy, memories and comforting for our entire family. And we really appreciate the way you welcomed us and were responsive to our needs.

Perfect getaway with beautiful surroundings at every turn

If you are looking for a place to unwind, celebrate with the family, or enjoy the simplicity of it all, this is your place. Located on a beautiful lot off the main road, this gem provides everything you could ask for. Walk outdoors and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, pet the horses, and just take in what we take for granted everyday. Anne was wonderful with coordinating, communicating, and ensuring the stay was perfect. If in town again, we will definitely be back.

Perfect Gathering Place

Our family stayed to experience my son’s college graduation. Plenty of history to experience and space to sprawl. We had an enjoyable time and would certainly return. Anne went out of her way to make us feel welcome.

Kosy Grove

Staying at Kosy Grove was like taking a step back in time. This charming antebellum plantation home is spotless and we'll preserved with TLC. Each room has its own character and is tastefully filled with well appointed antiques and interesting memorabilia. The accomodations are very comforable--beds, AC, heating, washer/dryer etc. with all the amenities of home. The picturesque grounds with manicured lawns and towering shade trees provide wonderful opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. We sat on the porch swing and basked in the glow of the starry night sky and sipped mimosas under a gazebo converted from a silo. An added bonus is the barn and pasture for the 6 friendly Arabian horses, who enjoyed eating apples from our hands. Anne, the proprietor, graciously offered her hospitality and help as she shared her knowledge, family experiences and history as well as advice for shopping, activities, sight-seeing, restaurants etc. We left Kosy Grove with so much more than we came with...a new appreciation and understanding of the people and way of life in this rural area and wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
