The Surfers Palace is a beautifully refurbished 2 bedroom beach cottage set in a delightfully private oasis. The cottage sleeps 4 very comfortably and can sleep 5. The property ideally suits romantic weekends or a family beach holiday. Completely self contained. Set at the rear of the main home. 1 minute stroll to Whites Beach and "centrally located" in beautiful Torquay.

With polished concrete floors throughout the downstairs offers a light and airy kitchen & dining; separate lounge includes 2 single beds and double French doors opening onto the wide and covered north westerly facing veranda. Perfect for alfresco dining.

Upstairs the large open plan bedroom is the perfect parents retreat and contains a Queen Bed, big comfy sofa, TV and fire place for cosy winter nights. You will feel like you are sleeping in the tree tops as the bedroom spills out onto a wide deck overlooking the peaceful gardens.

The property is set in a relaxed and established light filled garden with lots of lovely lawn.

The house sleeps 4 people comfortably. However very open plan with master bedroom & open plan lounge space has limited privacy.

For your comfort linen is provided however you do need to bring your own beach towels.

The property is fully fenced and therefore suitable for young children. Owners reside in the home at at front of the property and there is some shared garden.
Pets are not allowed.

Location

The "Surfers Palace" is 5 minute walk to some great Bars, Restaurants and Cafes and approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of Torquay.

We suggest you leave your car behind and stroll along the beach to everything Torquay has to offer; including the iconic surf stores Rip Curl & Quiksilver, the many great cafes and restaurants on the Esplanade, Torquay.

Surfing and Mt Bike Adventure Packages

The owners of the property have over 20 year experience running the successful Eco-Adventure company Southern Exposure. Southern Exposure runs surfing, Mt biking and kayaking programs for approx. 10,000 students per year. They also run the Run Forrest Trail Run in the Otway Ranges.
The owners can link you up with their property in Forrest (the heart of the Otway Mt Biking Trails) and put together a truly adventurous Great Ocean Road and Otway experience.

The property is not pet friendly So please do not ask as we do not wish to offend.

We request that guest do not cook strong smelling, aromatic or fried foods in the kitchen as it is very unpleasant for following guests. An airing fee of $150 will apply.

Bindy was a lovely host & very kind Her tiny house is quirky, bright & full of beach vibes. A stones throw from the beach not far to walk at all. A lovely place to stay. Something to note: thereā€™s is a new house being built nxt door. That would have been great to know on booking. As we were woken 4 out of 7 days at 6am. No sleep ins on this holiday l. Will go back when the house nxt door is finished being built!

Beautiful property in the perfect location.

We couldnā€™t believe how gorgeous the cottage was. It was sparkling clean, and we particularly loved the upstairs area with the balcony. So much natural light. Even though it was behind the hostā€™s property, the garden was angled so that it felt very secluded and private. Very easy walk into town, and literal minutes to a lovely swimming beach. Thank you again for everything.

We had a lovely weekend in the cottage. It is very clean and well presented, walking to beach and shops. Bindy is a marvellous host and very helpful. Definitely recommend this cosy cottage.

Cute Coastal Cottage

A friend and I stayed here for a night and were pleasantly surprised at the house's cleanliness and cute decor; the garden was pretty and the location was super convenient. Bindy, the owner, made us feel welcome without being intrusive. We'll come back!

Such a beautiful property and Bindy is so lovely! The home is just gorgeous and as soon as I stepped through the front gate I instantly felt relaxed and at ease! Set in a lovely green garden with beautiful lawns, the surfer's palace lives up to it's name.. And you can even catch a glimpse of the ocean from the upstairs balcony! I couldn't recommend this property highly enough.

Beautiful & relaxing stay...

We really enjoyed our stay at Surfers Palace. The property owners made our stay easy and comfortable, and the property is absolutely stunning. Very close to the beach - perfect in summer but would be extra cosy in winter as the upstairs bedroom (which occupies the entire top floor) has a wood-fired stove. Highly recommend!

The house was delightful, stylish, comfortable, bright and tranquil. Set in a lovely garden away from the road meant we had peace and quiet whilst still being close to the buzz of busy Bell street where shops, cafes and bars were easily reachable. The kids enjoyed taking themselves for walks on the beach across the road and we all surfed on the beautiful beaches surrounding.there are so many fabulous places to visit and it was great to come back to such a homely place at the end of busy days.Bindy and Mick made us feel so welcome, they are probably the nicest people in Torquay and the kids loved their gentle dog. We would love to stay again !
