Alaska's Retreat is located in Jindabyne, right on the edge of picturesque Lake Jindabyne. The perfect place to stay for your holidays all year round. In Winter take the easy 20min drive to ski and snowboard at either Perisher or Thredbo. In summer enjoy all the Lake has to offer including fishing, waterskiing or wakeboarding. The Snowy Mountains also offers the adventureous lots of bush walking, mountain biking and four wheel driving.

Alaska's Retreat is situated just a short walk from restaurants, shops, the cinema and the local brewery.

Staying at Alaska's Retreat

Three comfortable bedrooms, spacious living area and a fully equiped kitchen offers everyone who stays here the perfect place to relax after a hard days enjoyment of the outdoor activities that the Snowy Mountains has to offer.

Alaska's Retreat Sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms with one bathroom including a toilet and a separate toilet.

Prices include all Bedding and Towels.


Note:
-Long weekends must be booked for the entire period (ie. Fri, Sat and Sun nights)
-We are unable to provide check in or check out on a Saturday during the ski season
-We can accommodate a maximum of 6 people only (Adults and Children included)

Chilling Out at Alaska's Retreat

Alaska's Retreat has many options to assist in your relaxation, from enjoying a book from the library, watching one of many DVDs on the large LED flat screen. enjoying a cold beverage on the balcony looking out over the picturesque lake and the snowy mountains, or sitting on the bank and enjoying all the lake has to offer. For those wishing to have some quality family time there is range of board games and puzzles to keep the whole family entertained for hours and hours.

For those wishing to venture out for dinner or a good night out, Alaska's Retreat is only a short stroll to many restaurants, cafes, bars, and the Snow Mountains own brewery.

Perfect spot

Great place and a fantastic location. Easy walk into the town centre or roll out of the door into the lake. Will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable unit in lovely location

Unit was comfortable and fairly well appointed. Some issues with one of the beds, but the property manager responded quickly. Nice views over the lake. We enjoyed our Christmas break in Jindabyne.

Do not book this property

This is a warning. Do not deal with these people. Terse due to character limit. Property would be passable if maintained. It was not. Found broken furniture, no information booklet, no working fire alarm. Could be worked through, but: The real problem is the owners are deceptive, muck you about, & then keep the money. Listing included a spa (I have screen captures). It does not have this. Asking what should be done about the fire alarms & missing spa, they disavowed the listing, & in the ~15 minutes between asking the question & getting a response, the listing was changed to remove the spa. To attempt to gaslight one so severely is intolerable. Immediately asked for a refund & found other last-minute accommodation. Following up on refund, they insisted that involved raising the issue with Stayz, not them. Nothing on the website indicates that this is correct. So my time & the time of Stayz support was wasted confirming they had mislead again. At the last, owners claim to have done all that they could by fixing the fire alarms, rest is all some malfunction of Stayz, & don’t see any reason for refund. I have the screen-captures, messages, & photos to support what I say. If the owner responds about how this is all a mistake of their agent mis-listing the property, an insane coincidence that the listing was updated just after it came under scrutiny, & nothing to do with them, simply ask yourself – even if that was so, then why should I wear it & they keep all the money?

Great location

This was our second stay so we obviously love it. The unit is in the perfect location nothing fancy but everything you need is there. Unfortunately we could not stay as we planned due to the fires. Such a shame we were looking forward to face a good time.

Great location and views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved how we could walk into town to go shopping and have dinner. The townhouse had great views and was well stocked with all necessities. Everything was clean and well maintained with heaters in every room. Only a 25 min drive to Perisher made it a top weekend.

Comfortable family home, fantastic location by the lake

Fabulous access to Lake Jindabyne from the house, much appreciated during summer heatwave! For summer, blinds or curtains on the kitchen window would have helped to keep the heat down, but otherwise the apartment is extremely comfortable for a family. Beautiful renovated bathroom with enormous skylight and lots of towel hooks. Lots of books and games that we didn't have time to enjoy, but I imagine in winter it would also be a cosy retreat. Great value accommodation!

delightful family holiday

We stayed here Jan 2016 (this website hasn't caught up with the new year yet - I can only enter the year as 2105!). We were very comfortable at Alaskas retreat for our family holiday. We had hot and cold weather and the house was comfy through both. Convenient and quiet spot with a beautiful view, well equipped kitchen, easy access to lake and short walk to shops and amenities. It was easy to communicate with Kerryn. We found the home to be clean and well maintained. Comfy beds. If you're travelling with very young kids be aware that the top bunk doesn't have a safety rail or easy to climb ladder. It was perfectly fine for our 11 year old but might not be great if you were counting on that top bunk to be used by a younger child.

January '16. We had a great time fishing in the lake and a day trip up to thredbo. Alaskas retreat was just right for our family of four. Will definitely be back next year. Kerryn was a pleasure to deal with.

Comfortable enough 3 bedroom unit accommodation. Furniture, kitchen & beds are little old but adequate. New bathroom. Good for family or budget group.with great views. Misunderstanding with cleaners who came after check and did a very average job.so house wasn't very clean. Good owners & correspondence.

The unit was better then expected. Very child friendly. Was so lovely and peaceful too. Beds are very comfortable and more space then we needed. Heaps of great extras too. Very centrally located. Thank you.

A very nice stay

We had a very comfortable stay at this place. It had everything we needed and close enough to the shops to quickly get some groceries. There was also enough room for kids to move.
