Host was very communicative, property just as described. Very cozy, old-school ski house in a great location. Only about 20 minute drive to Mount Snow and about 10 minutes into town for groceries/gas/food. Would definitely stay again.

Spacious Home Away From Home

Great cabin with plenty of space for our family of 4. Everything we needed was there! Communicative owner made sure we had a great stay! We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay! The house was very cozy, the beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of room in the house for several adults and children; the kitchen was well stocked for all of our cooking needs. We appreciated the availability of snow sleds for the kids to use. The clubhouse was also very close by to use the pool and hot tub. Overall, we had a classic Vermont experience with daily snowfall, cold temps, and great skiing. Joe was a fantastic host who made the check-in and out process seamless, and helped us when we had an issue with our car.

Check-in was very easy, Joe was very easy to contact and responded immediately to texts. The rooms were very clean upon arrival. There were plenty of clean towels, toiletries, and leftover condiments, ice in the freezer, coffee , sugar, and leftover groceries in the kitchen cabinets. The pool area was very nice, beautiful indoor and outdoor pools. We just suggest a new coffee maker. We always make 2 different kinds of coffee in the morning, but you have to let it fully cool before making a second pot. Other than that we have no complaints. We had fun time with or son , his wife , and our 2 four year old grandchildren

This review doesn't make any sense. In writing sounds like they had good time and may have to their individual preference that could be different. The review rating however doesn't match the write-up. I don't think their expectations of private vacation home is not one that is shared with the owner's use (one cabinet and one shelve on the door of the refridgerator had the owner's common supplies that guest is allowed to use from) was expected by the guest. However, most of the vacation homes in Vermont resorts are this way the owners rent the entire home on short term rentals to subsidize the cost of having the home and they at times use the homes themselves. They are not homes turned into dedicated short-term rentals (like hotels in residential neighborhoods). Homes not at all used by their owners for that sole purpose are by the state of Vermont are highly frowned upon. If this type of arrangement guest makes the trip terrible for anyone I would truly would suggest a hotel might better meet their expectations.

Mt. Snow Weekend

Was an adequate place to stay for a weekend ski trip. One of the bedrooms upstairs is a loft room which was open to the downstairs chatter but served its purpose. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive or AWD vehicle to access complex due to tightthe tight road conditionsroads

Rob has a great home. 15 mins from mt snow. Of course all depending on weather. Well stocked house, great communication.

Wonderful house!

I was very happy with my stay. Everything was exactly as stated. It was the cleanest home I have stayed in yet. Cozy and cute spot. Perfect location! The host is polite and responds right away, (although we didn’t need much communication). It was great to have such a easy check in and out. 5 star home and am looking forward to going back soon. The town was great, food too. All around wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing this home and experience of living in Vermont 😄

Review

Property was solid but had issues with the wifi throughout our entire stay. Also wasn’t aware of the very steep hill that prevented us from driving home on the last day due to the snowstorm. These things should be made aware on the listing for future guests.

Thank you for advising the issues with the Internet. At the time of your stay there were limited choices for Internet service to the area. Since your stay fiber-to-home service became available and the home was switched to the fiber service. The new service is 1 Gb/s to the home.

Comfortable hill-top ski house

We rented for about 7 weeks during the ski season. The house is a short 10-15 minute drive from Mount Snow. It's situated high up on Chimney Hill and gets beautiful sunrises. The house itself was well stock with basics and quite comfortable, especially with the large beds and cozy down comforters. We enjoyed using the wood burning stove when it was cold. Joe, the owner, was easy to communicate with. We didn't have any issues with the house. We particularly enjoyed the access to the Chimney Hill clubhouse and pool while we were there.

House was super close to Mt Snow. Had plenty of room to fit myself and all my friends to relive our glory days snowboarding. Joe had everything we needed from shower stuff, to extra blankets and pillows, to a fully stocked wood pile for the wood stove. The house itself was very well kept. The house was cozy and provided some core memories for me and my friends getting back together after many years since college to hit the slopes. Would totally stay there again. Joe himself is also a super amazing. Always answered our texts in a timely manor and was always very informative and understanding. If you are looking to stay near Mt snow this is the house for you. He even hooked up w access to a heated pool and hot tub which was essential for recouping after a long day of boarding! 0 complaints only amazing things to say.

Great Mt. Snow Getaway! Love this place!

We really enjoy this home and have been back multiple times. Great location, close to everything, yet far away enough to feel the solitude. Home has everything a family needs.. Comfortable beds and couches, awesome wood stove, great sounding entertainment system! Joe is an amazing host as well. We will be back for sure!

We had a terrific stay on chimney hill this winter! House was exactly what we thought it would be; and the location was terrific. Owner was readily available and checkin was smooth. Would highly reccomend this property.

I am a retired ESPN broadcast engineer - a lifetime in the electronics field. This home was purchased in 2002 and was used exclusively by my family until 2017 when I retired. We skied every weekend from mid-November to April every year at Mount Snow. In the summer the Harriman Reservoir was my favorite place.

This home is in a great location high in the Southern Green Mountains within the Chimney Hill 4 seasons resort with many amenities and minutes to the Mount Snow Ski resort.
The town of Wilmington center only 10 minutes away with everything from a grocery store to a pharmacy can found. The area is loaded with small shops and restaurants to visit.

Vermont's closest major ski resort to metropolitan areas with world class skiing and riding only minutes away.

Snowmobile from the driveway of the home right onto Vermont VAST trail system.

The Haystack Mountain/Ridge trail head walking distance from the house. The trail leads to the summit of Haystack Mountain and then continues along the ridge line of the Southern Green Mountains to the summit of Mt Snow.

The Harriman Reservoir is a treasure in itself. The reservoir is used for power generation and by rules set long ago the lake and the surrounding land remain undeveloped and open as public recreation area from sunrise to sunset. The lake is fed by many mountain streams and rivers and in the sun light there's a nearly 10 foot visibility. Perfect for water sports from fishing to water skiing. Boat launches and picnic areas can be found at several areas around lake. Rentals of boats, personal watercraft aka "jet skis," canoes and kayaks are available at boat launch at far north end of reservoir (Rt 9).
