This totally renovated adorable beach cottage is located less than a 10 minute drive to Siesta Key. Siesta Key is a beach destination highlighted on many travel lists as one of the top 10 beaches in the U.S.A.

My 1950's style Florida beach cottage underwent a complete renovation top to bottom. It has been thoughtfully updated and tastefully decorated to offer a dream house effect allowing guests to feel on vacation yet comfortable as if they are right at home. This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage house can accommodate a maximum of 5 guests. While there is plenty of sleeping, sitting and relaxing space in this spacious open concept floor plan, the 5 person maximum is to ensure our guest's experience is that of absolute comfort. As the home owner, I am passionate about my home and will always remain closely engaged with the upkeep of our property and the satisfaction of my guests. The green, canopied spacious front yard was recently covered with 5000 lbs of crushed sea shells and is graced with tropical trees giving it the feel of a botanical garden. Extra rooms such as the screened furnished patio and large Florida Room make it easy for everyone to have their own quiet private space. Guests may also easily find communion with this open floor plan, while lounging in the living room, snacking at the dining table or cooking in the kitchen. There is HIGH SPEED WIFI and Smart TVs so you can watch all of your favorites shows. My home is a serene respite after a long day and is exactly suited for the discerning traveler.

I AM DOG FRIENDLY! I love furry animal friends and am responsible for a few of my own; however I only allow WELL-BEHAVED dogs. The pet policies are straight forward and cater to owners of clean well-behaved pooches. The pet policies need to be reviewed before booking. There is NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR DOGS and there is a maximum limit of 2 dogs at any given time. While there are plenty of fresh linens and towels available at the house, I have an outdoor shower and designated dog towels too. Please keep your dogs off of the furniture (unless you throw down an old sheet or dog blanket) and leashed when outside of the house at all times. Guests are required to inform us about their pets before booking and any other pets that are visiting the property during their stay. I highly recommend dog beach (http://www.exploringsarasota.org/dog-parks.html) and insist that your furry friend take a thorough rinse with fresh water and a good drying after every swim in the ocean. There are dog showers at the beach to make it easy. A washer and dryer is available in the house which makes for light packing and more relaxing time.

The private cottage is nestled on a shaded street just 10 minutes from Siesta Key beach and downtown Sarasota. You will find a wide variety of shops, restaurants and nightlife downtown, on Siesta Key and Lido Key. The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall (one of the top performing arts centers in the US) is just down the road as are too many restaurants and shops to count. I also happily provide guests with recommendations of some my favorite places to dine in this fresh seafood paradise which continues to host a wide variety of culinary diversity.

Within reasonable driving distance for day adventures you will find Tampa, Clearwater, St.Petersburg and Anna Maria Island and the enumerable beaches and places of interests that dot the Gulf Coast. My home is the ideal place to set down your roots and flip flops and feel right at home while either on a long-term vacation or on a short-term getaway.
