Located in a prime location, this vacation rental offers modern furnishings and conveniences are around every corner. An expansive deck greets you at the top of the exterior staircase. Enjoy the ocean air as you sit outside with a tall glass of something tasty and a great book. Spacious living areas and bedrooms allow everyone plenty of space to relax.

Everything has been provided for your comfort and delight. With every room on the same level, bringing groceries in and unpacking is a breeze! 2 King En Suites and 1 additional bunk bedroom provide well-equipped room and privacy for the whole family or group. A well-equipped kitchen provides a great space to create special meals and memories, with abundant counter space, and cabinets and drawers full of everything you need. Enjoy your culinary masterpieces in the comfortable dining space. For the little ones in the group, a highchair has been provided so no one misses out on the get-together.

Just a quick walk from the beach, it's an easy trip to dip your toes in the sand at MP 11 in Nags Head. Bring the complimentary beach wagon along to make carrying your items easy! Your vacation cottage is also convenient to all the shopping, restaurants, activities and attractions that you love about the Outer Banks.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Newly renovated, very clean and we enjoyed our stay at The Salty Mermaid! Great location and easy walk to the beach. Highly recommend this cottage, it's up to date, clean, and spacious!! Perfect for our trip.

This is one of the nicest homes weā€™ve stayed at for the price in the Outer Banks. It was clean and welcoming. Check-in process was seamless. Could have had more/better cooking utensils and pots/pans but not a big deal. The locations was great. Just a couple blocks to the beach where thereā€™s parking, if you get there early in the day, and an oudoor shower and small pavilion if you want to get out of the sun for a few minutes.

Amazing home. Home was extremely clean and modern. Will definitely be staying here again. Kees was so easy to work with. Definitely recommend to others.

Cute place but disappointed

Cute place, good size, nice location. However, no linenā€™s for one of the beds and didnā€™t get them until the day before we left. Dirty towels left in the bathroom, popcorn on the floor in one of the rooms, some kind of drink spill on counter, chair, and floor. Also, the hand soap dispensers in the bathrooms were empty. It was a nice place and could be great with a little extra attention to detail and better communication from management.

1st VRBO Nags Head

We loved the location, and the house!! We did have a couple of issues there that affect a perfect rating. 1. Upon arrival, there was broken glass all over the driveway that one of the kids cut his foot on stepping out of the vehicle. My son had to take the broom out and sweep the driveway once we gained access. 2. While waiting for the time access, we sat in the plastic chairs, and immediately the chair snapped in half and I fell to the ground. 3. Supplies - there were no garbage bags, one dish towel (had to use bath towel in kitchen). Other than thinking we were stocked based on the ad, the trip, the broken beer bottle, and the aged plastic chairs, the house was fantastic!!

Super clean and new home

The house is very nice and well decorated Brand new construction. Short 3 block walk to the beach. Everything about the house was above expectations- with respect to decor and cleanliness. The washer and dryer were great as well!! However, there lacked only a few items that one usually sees at rental homes like Tupperware or Saran Wrap. The property management company on the other hand did not even give us the code until I called at 430. There were no instructions for the wifi. We finally found it in one of the guest rooms. No check out instructions either. Chairs are listed as supplied but there are only 2. So while the house sleeps 6+, you still need to bring a few chairs. The wagon was very helpful though The property management company should list how many chairs there are. The master bedroom could use a full size mirror Extra blankets for the home would be helpful We noticed that the duvets on the beds had no duvet covers on them The pillows are just ok But the beds are very comfortable The home could use some family games to entertain families in case it rains etc

Home away from home!

This property was magnificent! It had all the amenities (except an iron, we looked everywhere. We found the ironing board, but no iron). Brand new construction with new floors, kitchen, and kitchen accessories. Beds and linens were crisp and new. They put a lot of money into this house and it shows. A quick 5 minute walk you were on the beach. A few turns in the car and you were back on the bypass or the beach road in no time. We will definitely stay here again.
