Austracantha Cottage –LOVELY RURAL LOCATION, BEAUTIFUL VIEWS, CLOSE TO MANSFIELD

Austracantha Cottage is set on 8.5 acres of natural bushland, with spectacular views overlooking the township of Mansfield, the Paps, and a sneak peek of Mt Buller and Lake Eildon.

Only a short 10-minute drive from Mansfield township, the Cottage is also just 20 minutes from Lake Eildon/Bonnie Doon or the Howes Creek boat ramp, 20 minutes from Powers Lookout, and a 30-minute drive to the Mount Buller gate entry.

The cedar cottage is tucked away towards the rear of the property, providing a very private and secluded place to unwind and relax. Wake up to find yourself immersed in wildlife, including kangaroos, echidnas, wallabies and a huge variety of native birdlife.

This is a perfect property for water and snow skiers, fishing, bush walkers, or families wanting some time away to relax or enjoy the snow and water activities in the surrounding areas. You will have the entire property to yourself during your stay.

We are proudly pet friendly, with up to two pets welcome to stay. Pets must be supervised at all times.

The cottage has a modern kitchen and bathroom, a hideaway laundry (no washing machine or dryer), and is furnished with all the comforts of home. Please note that there is no dishwasher. We take pride in keeping the cottage well maintained, fresh and comfortable for our guests.

Our cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests (including children) and is suitable for couples, small groups or families. There are 3 bedrooms, an indoor and outdoor dining area that can seat up to 6 people, and the lounge has 2 comfortable couches positioned in front of an enormous Coonara wood fire, perfect for those cold winter nights.

The interior of the property is very clean and extremely well presented throughout.

You will not be disappointed.

Set on 8.5 acres, there is plenty of room to roam and explore. Outside, a beautiful hardwood decking and railing wraps around the property, and there is a large undercover BBQ entertaining area.

A seated fire pit area can be enjoyed on cooler nights, where you can toast your marshmallows under the stars. Kids can be kept entertained outdoors with plenty of activities, including our hopscotch and outdoor checkerboard.
Mobile phone reception is available on the property (no internet or Wi-Fi).

KEY INTERIOR FEATURES

Contemporary, well-equipped kitchen including electric cooktop, electric fan-forced oven, full-sized fridge-freezer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, sandwich press, cutlery and crockery. Reverse-cycle air conditioner/heater for instant heating and cooling. Coonara wood heater for cosy winter nights (firewood supplied). Games, puzzles and kids’ books available for use. Digital TV with built-in DVD player and a substantial DVD collection provided for extra entertainment.
• Clean and very comfortable bathroom including heated towel rail, slimline wall-mounted heater, and large modern walk-in shower with rainfall/handheld dual shower head. Towels provided.
• 3 bedrooms consisting of 2 rooms each with a queen bed and 1 room with 2 single beds. All linen provided, including electric blankets. Space heaters are provided in the bedrooms for those cold winter nights, and fans are available for use during the warmer summer months.

KEY EXTERIOR FEATURES
• 100 square metres of decking, including hammocks that can be hooked onto the front deck poles. Two awnings at the front of the cottage can be wound out to provide additional shade during the summer period. Undercover entertainment area with 4-burner gas BBQ and outdoor dining table.
• Dedicated brick fire pit with rustic seating and table. 8.5 acres of bushland and cleared areas to explore. Cleared areas for kids to play cricket, soccer, football, totem tennis, hopscotch and checkers. The rear yard is fenced. There is plenty of parking on the property.
• Pets are welcome (up to two, and must be supervised at all times).
Austracantha Cottage is exclusively listed and can only be booked via the VRBO/Stayz website.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
• No smoking permitted inside the cottage.
• No fires permitted on fire ban days.
• No firearms, hunting or camping.
• No cutting of your own firewood. Firewood will be provided for the duration of your stay.
• No motorbike riding permitted on the property.
• Due to the size of the cottage, no groups larger than 6 guests (including children) can be accepted.
