Beautiful 2 bedroom bach for rent, perfectly positioned opposite the beach!

Oakura beach and the surrounding Whangaruru Harbour is renowned for its safe swimming, crystal clear water for snorkelling or diving and great fishing.
With beautiful coastal views out to the world famous Poor Night Islands picture yourself sitting on the large shaded deck soaking up this fabulous paradise.
For the more adventurous utilise the swell for some body boarding or surfing!

The master bedroom boasts a queen size bed, ocean views and is east facing to capture the most stunning Oakura Bay sunrises.
The 2nd bedroom accommodates 4 with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds.
The open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area open onto the large deck with two picnic tables.
A flat screen tv with Freeview and Chromecast.
The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you will require to feel right at home including full size fridge/freezer.
The apartment has a generous size bathroom, with shower over bath and a separate toilet.

Oakura Bay has a general store that also sells fuel and two doors down you will find ā€˜Skipsā€™ the best fish & chip store in Northland!
The area has three boat ramps, so launching and retrieving your pride and joy is possible in any weather condition and a fishing and diving charter is also close by.

Three kayaks with life jackets and a gas BBQ are complementary for our guests to use as well as a fish filleting station.

The property has plenty of off street parking.

Unlimited WiFi is available.

Maximum 6 guests including children.
Downstairs only available for rent - upstairs is vacant while property is rented.
No pets, no smoking.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to tidy up and do the dishes before you leave.

Perfect location right by the beach, we stayed in late August so lovely and quiet yet still 18 degrees. Fish and chip shop and knowledgeable harbourmaster right next door, super people at the dairy who have been there over 30years, NZ beach life without all the commercialism a wonderful peaceful spot.

Great Location

My family had the best weekend ever at Oakura. The batch had everything you would ever need. The beach was just meters away and the outside shower after the swim was magic. We asked for linen to be provided and all beds were made up with crisp clean linen. The batch was very private. We would like to return another time.

The Best Bach!

We had the most amazing time here. Bach is bigger than it looks in photos and 6 adults had lots of space to share. The bay is incredible for swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. Such an incredible spot!

Fantastic location and property!

We didn't get to spend much time at the bach or using the wonderful equipment supplied (kayaks) as my daughter's wedding and reception in Oakura kept us very busy.. But we will definitely go back to this property for a relaxing visit. We were so impressed how large every room in the bach was! Very clean and comfortable with all the equipment provided to make it a real easy home away from home stay. Even down to the many utensils in the kitchen draws! Loads of books and games, large dining table, large deck. And amazing view literally on the doorstep The owners obviously really take care of this place and we could see they put a lot of effort into making it a fantastic holiday bach experience!

Awesome spot for our quick family getaway

Slept all 6 of us comfortably, bathroom was not suitable for my 73year old mother and we stayed while weather wasnt the best so it was cold, the place had a small oil heater which helped but we should have taken more blankets. Overall the stay was good for the timeframe we booked it.

We had a great time staying here. The facilities are good including a big BBQ which was handy for feeding a large group. Nice location right across the road from the beach. Would stay here again for sure.

For me personally, it was ok, cold in winter though.

I can just imagine how beautiful and comfortable this home must have been when it was first built. How it is now, probably be more suitable for a bunch of guys up for a fishing trip, I wasn't too fuzz with the damp smell or the ripped mattress that we drag into the lounge to sleep on, was the warmest part of the home, my wife and 18 year old was not too happy with it.

Excellent Location

Lovely property, we enjoyed our stay, cleanliness wasn't the greatest, the oven was very dirty and fridge needed a good wipe out, bathtub had hair in it. Other than that it was a very nice place :)

The facilities were adequate and retained the seaside bach atmosphere. Including some info about local walks, sites of interest could help for those new to the location. Thanks, we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay.

Great Stay

Loved staying at this place in late Jan. beach is awesome, there are plenty of great kids books in the bookcase, good clean bbq out the back. House was tidy and clean, furniture clean, great classic kiwi batch. To take full advantage of the beautiful beach across the road we would recommend bringing along a collapsible lounger or two with you Double Bed in the master bedroom was great, decent comfortable couches in lounge aswell.

Beachside bach, Oakura

We enjoyed our stay in this bach for it's proximity to the beach and the local store, (although in summer i would imagine it would be very busy out front.) The store does have yummy doughnuts and extra good fish and chips ! The bach is nice and comfortable and has a nice old style feel about it. The bed in the front room was very comfortable and cosy. The bach tended to be a bit chilly at this time of the year, June, but a heater warmed things up. We would give this property 5 stars except that the shower over the bath led to an incident which tends to make it not suitable for senior citizens like us ! If it had a conventional shower we would come back.
