My wife and I stayed here for an anniversary trip and we were very pleased with this property. The cleanliness was exceptional! The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs. We spent most of our time around the outdoor fireplace. The neighbors feed the deer, so it was enjoyable to sit around the fire and watch them feed and play. The location was just wanted we wanted. A place by the river, which was very nice to listen to. Jodi is a great host. Communication with check in and check out was a breeze. Thanks, Jodi! I hope there is availability for our next trip. We very much enjoyed this property!

Great location

Very nice house and great property overall. We enjoyed our stay. Well stocked kitchen, so meals are easy. Far enough from town to really enjoy the quiet, but close enough to still enjoy downtown BR.

Beautiful cabin!

The property was just what we expected based on the listing. It was clean and spacious and the location was exactly what we wanted and just a short 20 minute drive into downtown Blue Ridge.

The Home Sweet Home Away From Home

Not only is Jodi an exceptional host (responsive, helpful, accommodating, and friendly), but the home is beautiful! We've stayed 2x now and both times have been perfect. The kids love having the basement area all to themselves and the parents love the outdoor porch area with a wood burning fireplace. For our party of 8 there is plenty of room inside and out - at mealtime we can all sit around the huge dining room table and we can play outside on large grassy areas next to the driveway or down by the river. We love the property and appreciate the host!

Beautiful property. I would book again!

Wonderful, quiet property. The only things I would recommend are: iron and ironing board, chairs for the firepit by the river, some type of lighting next to the grill area, and a better satellite connection for TV upstairs. Other than that, it was perfect.

Beautiful land!

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Such a beautiful piece of property that the cabin sits on. The neighbors have a feeding plot for the deer and you get to see many off in the distance all times of the day. Great river access and just a beautiful yard. We stayed a weekend to celebrate our daughter's graduation and it was nothing but lovely! Clean and cozy! Would stay again.

Location was good.

The location of the house was nice and quiet. The main issue I had was dog hair all over the main level of the home. I rented this property because in the description it said no pets allowed. After booking the property and having the information emailed to me a few days before our family trip it mentioned the rules about dogs. When we got to the home the outside furniture by the fireplace has a lot of dog hair on it. You are unable to sit on the furniture without being covered in dog hair when you get up. Also the blanket on the main floor has dog hair on it along with the couch pillows. I rented this property expecting it to be pet free and was disappointed when it was not. The other negative was being told they only stock the house with essentials for 2 days. I rented the property for 6 nights and expected to have essentials according to the nights I paid top dollar for. For example, there was only one dishwasher tablet, one small bottle of liquid dish soap, 3 extra trash bags for the kitchen garbage, etc. The property overall was decent but expect to have dog hair and to buy some essentials to bring with you.

Birthday success

Celebrated my twin nephews turning 16. Great place for teenagers and adults as well. My favorite place was the screened in porch and fireplace. Will definitely go here again.
