Blocks Road
Bed In A Shed One features stunning views over our vineyard. The original creation of former resident artist Andrew Quixley, this studio features a one of a kind design with extensive use of interesting, recycled materials, creating a warm, inviting and inspiring space to relax during your visit.

Capacity: 3 guests
Guests have full, exclusive use of the studio and its adjoining pergola area. The property is accessed via a private driveway off Blocks Road, Leasingham, with free on-site parking. Check-in is from 3 pm, check-out by 10 am. A secure lockbox system enables contact-free arrival, and we’ll provide full details in your confirmation email.

Blocks Road manages all stays at Bed In A Shed One and is available to assist via phone or message from check-in to check-out. The studio is self-contained, affording you privacy and the freedom to enjoy your stay at your own pace. If you have any queries — keys, WiFi, local tips — we’re just a call away.

Nestled near Leasingham in the heart of the Clare Valley wine region, your studio offers both tranquillity and proximity. A short stroll or drive will take you to cellar doors, artisanal cafés and the verdant landscapes that define this region. Wandering paths past gum trees, the gentle hum of vineyard life and the vast open skies combine into a peaceful, art-infused escape.

There are multiple studios on the Bed In A Shed site, each designed by Andrew Quixley and completely self-contained with full sound separation. You’ll enjoy absolute privacy within your space while sharing the property’s creative setting with like-minded guests.

No parties or events.
Respect quiet hours between 10pm and 7am.
No smoking inside the studio; outdoor area only.
Pets are not permitted.
Please leave the space as you found it; additional cleaning or lost-key fees may apply.

Turn right off Horrocks Hwy at Leasingham on to Mintaro Rd, then take the first right turn on to Blocks Rd. We are the first property on your right. You will receive detailed instructions prior to arrival, then an SMS with your lock code when your accommodation is ready for arrival.

Great relaxing, quite place to stay, hosts are very friendly and helpful. A beautiful part of the country side with lots to see and do or a great place to sit back and relax. Thank you we had a wonderful weekend and look forward to staying again xx

Lovely place to stay!

My mum and I had a fabulous night at Bed in a Shed. An excellent place to stay; easy to find, lovely view of vines, friendly pet goats, dog and chickens, charming interior, great breakfast and easy spot to explore Clare Valley from.

We loved our stay at bed in a shed. It was cosy warm, had everything we needed for a delicious breakfast, and all set on a stunning property with a gorgeous view to wake up to in the morning. Andrew was great to deal with too. A great place to explore the Clare!

Amazing place! Stunning style and very comfy!

Andrew was an amazing host. The venue was just stunning. A cosy bed in a shed, suprisingly really really warm with the fire place. Was a great place to spend a weekend visiting wineries in the nearby area, and just sitting in front of the fire drinking a nice bottle of red, listening to the vinyl record player. Cant wait to get back and visit!

"Hidden gem"

From the moment you drive into the property you get this feeling of WOW this is going to be something and it was! The welcome sign on the shed front is a great touch, then entering the shed there's even more, on the small blackboard right in front of you says Welcome Dave and Jo :) makes you feel special. The small vase of freshly picked garden flowers and the warming smell of the vanilla candle burning filling the shed with its beautiful scent is a beautiful homely touch. Everything was ready for us. The fridge stocked with fresh farm eggs, bacon, tomatoes, bread, avocado and mushrooms. Along with butter and spreads. The shed was spotlessly clean and has top quality sheets, gorgeous big cuddly towels and robes. Great work on the robes! The bed was ever so comfy and the room kept cool by the air con. The farm animals are a delight and little Cleo the family dog is ever so friendly. Bed in a shed is a very unique style of accommodation. Andrew has designed and styled it so well. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay, the peace and tranquility of the vineyard rejuvenates the soul. Spoil yourself with a massage by Carolyn, it's just heaven. We highly recommend "Bed in a Shed" it's a winner on our list. Well done!

Fabulous time spent at Bed in a Shed

Our short stay in this quirky, amazing B&B could not have been any better. We loved everything about Bed in a Shed. Andrew and Carolyn are lovely hosts who supplied all the breakfast supplies we requested and kindly kept the weekend secret from my husband ( it was his 60th birthday surprise) The grounds are so relaxing, grape vines surrounding the premises. We highly recommend this B&B

Absolutely Bloody Brilliant!!!

Seriously, the place is fantastic, the service and set up brilliant, and Andrew was able to help out with a couple of extra requests. Nothing was to much. The location is great, Moos-lie the Sheep, Luna-tic the Goat and Cleo the dog were all friendly (as were the two guinea fowls). We visited only a few (?) local wineries and walked 26km is 2 days. A fantastic stay.

Exceeded expectations!

The space is unique, inviting, comfortable and super clean. The turntable with vinyl collection was just a perfect little touch. Communication with Andrew was a breeze and he genuinely cared that we have the best possible holiday. I wouldn't stay anywhere else next time we're in Clare Valley! Thank you again, Andrew!

Return visit and just as enjoyable as the first time.

A great place to just slow down and relax. Comfortable and quiet and convenient to lots of wineries and walks. This is our second visit, so I guess that says it all!

Wonderful getaway in Clare Valley

We had a fantastic experience staying at Bed in a Shed - the accommodation was gorgeous and unique, and even included lovely little touches for our 3 year wedding anniversary. The location was perfect as well, close to so many wonderful wineries and restaurants. We would love to come back!

Dream Getaway

We wish we could just move in and spend the entire winter here. Architecturally it's absolutely gorgeous with so many raw materials that make the place feel like a perfect little home. We had a gorgeous fire and vegetarian brekky items waiting for us upon arrival. The bed was super comfortable and every detail was appreciated.

Just perfect

Bed in a Shed is so much more than it’s name lends. Although hubby and I were excited about exploring the region, illness put a stop to that suddenly and we found ourselves confined to our accommodation and quite frankly we couldn’t have been anywhere better! We received the warmest welcome from Cleo as soon as we arrived (I love dogs) and entering the premises for the first time we were struck by the cleanliness and the small personal touches around the room. The surroundings were beautiful, the amenities were top notch, and we were given all the privacy we desired. The breakfast provisions were very generous too. The townships are all close together and if you don’t know what to do whilst there, Andrew has left plenty of information around to inspire you. I can’t fault anything in regards to our stay, so do yourself a favour and enjoy it for yourself. Thanks Andrew & Carolyn!

Great spot in the Clare Valley

We loved our stayed at Bed in a Shed - it’s so unique! Andrew and Carolyn are great hosts. We had everything we needed for our two night stay over New Year’s and Bed in a Shed is in the perfect location to explore the Clare Valley. We loved being surrounded by the vines and really enjoyed the breakfast. We’d definitely stay again! Thanks Andrew and Carolyn!

Loved it!

We loved staying at Bed in a Shed! It was quiet, comfortable, beautiful and really relaxing! Andrew was incredible and not only was the check in process so effortless he even organised a wine tour for us and gave us heaps of amazing recommendations for wine and food in the area - he went above and beyond!! We had a beautiful outlook with vineyards, roaming hills and their gorgeous sheep, goats and chicken. Really comfortable bed, gorgeous accomodation and wonderful breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend! thanks so much Andrew and Caroline,

Great location

Bed In a Shed is a great place to stay in the Clare Valley. The room is unique and beautifully done, with a lovely view over the vineyards. Andrew was extremely helpful and gave us lots of suggestions about things to do and places to eat. We would highly recommend it to anyone.
