Sailors Falls Estate - Villa B Complimentary wine for 2 night weekend booking

Set on 20 picturesque acres 'Sailors Falls Estate' offers privacy, seclusion and luxury.

This Tuscan style property is situated in an idyllic environment for relaxation, celebration or just to chill out only a few minutes drive from the Daylesford town centre.

Three accommodation options are housed within one large Villa building which can be utilised privately as separate apartments, with a spacious foyer, or can be fully booked to accommodate a group, wedding party or family of up to 10 guests in total.

Villa B: Self contained apartment containing 2 bedrooms, wood fire, large bathroom with spa, full kitchen, lounge and dining areas (sleeps up to 4). Pricing is for 1 o r 2 people using one of the 2 bedrooms. An extra charge of $20 applies for the use of the second bedroom.

Enjoy your stay surrounded by a working vineyard (cellar door) and forest areas.

The Wine

Sailors Falls Estate vineyard is set on a rural property providing a tranquil setting to have a taste of their boutique hand cultured, cool climate wines such as pinot gris, pinot noir, gamay, rose, chardonnay and gewurtraminer.

The Pinot grape, being a lover of cool climates, relishes the areas cold, crisp winters and short dry summers.

Sailors Falls Estate wines can also be enjoyed in many local restaurants and by some local wine stores.

Take a taste and make a purchase at the cellar door : 11am to 5pm weekends and public holidays

Surroundings

Surrounded on two sides by the Wombat Forest and set on undulating land within a 20 acre property, the vineyard at Sailors Falls Estate was established in 1999. Conveniently located in Telegraph Road about 300 metres from the Ballan-Daylesford Road, the property is within walking distance of the acclaimed restaurant, Sault ,which has the Pinot Gris featured on their current wine list and Sailors Falls (waterfall and mineral spring).

The surrounding areas provide a plethora of activities for those who are away to play or away to relax. Spas, food and wellness venues at your call.

Daylesford fulfils all the requirements for a perfect weekend away, so why not make your next getaway a weekend at Sailors Falls Estate.

The owners take great pride in their lovely property. Check in was easy and the accommodation was spacious, very clean and comfortable. And their wines are very good! A beautiful setting, we loved our stay and will return.

A lovely place to stay with a romantic fire and big spa bath with a relaxing glass of wine. It was clean and tidy, the hosts were friendly and helpful. The winery was a few steps away for a tasting and also a bush walk too.

Our host Margaret was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We even had the chance to taste her lovely wine from her own winery, which was such a special touch. The accommodation was beautiful, very clean, and we especially loved relaxing by the fireplace. A wonderful stay that we highly recommend!”

Perfect getaway

We had a girls weekend away on this beautiful property. It was warm and welcoming and had everything we needed. It was great to rug up in front of the wood fire and the electric blankets on the beds were a wonderful addition. The property was only a short drive into Daylesford. We would love to stay again.

Lovely weekend getaway

We booked for a wedding, our hosts were very accommodating with flexible check in times, and very pleasant from first enquiry to check out. The villa was lovely, clean and bright and weel equipped. Full kitchen, wood burning fire and a view from every window. Will definitely be booking again in the future

Peaceful getaway amongst the trees

Location was beautiful nestled among the gumtrees. Super comfortable bed & couch. Enjoyed the wood fire but it was freezing when we arrived. Would have liked to have had the main lounge heater on for us & maybe a lamp to make it feel more welcoming. Apart from that & a dirty mug in the cupboard, everything else was good. Spa bath was a plus!

We are disappointed with the negative aspects of this review and the fact that you see the need to put it on a public post. Over 20 years we proudly maintain a 4.8 out of 5 satisfaction rating. We normally put the heating on about 2.00 pm . Given your late arrival [5.30 pm] we simply forgot . As for the "dirty cup", we have no explanation or reason.?

Roaring fire on a cold night

Just the one night away but just perfect to relax with my grown up daughter after a day shopping in Daylesford. Margaret was very responsive in the comms prior to us arriving and had lit the fire for us. Such a luxury to lie in on Sunday and woken up by the Kookaburras. Thank you Margaret - we spent Sunday exploring wineries before heading back to Melbourne. Will definitely be back.😀

Beautiful Villa in a Beautiful location

A beautiful warm and rustic property in tune with the local area. Photos online are a good representation of the villa in person. The check in process was somewhat confusing as there was no clear place to go to collect keys, however Margaret was a great host and found us extremely quickly. I do understand there was a bit a rain around the time of our stay but there was a large amount of spiders and insects within the villa during our stay. Thankyou so much for providing a fantastic location for my partner and I to stay to truely enjoy the local area.

Both your criticisms annoy us. We rang and explained the key collection process to you. We explained that we live on the property and you must alert us to your arrival to get the key. You are the first in 15 years to raise this?? Particularly upsetting is your bit about "spiders" We always get positive comments about cleanliness.[See reviews].. Why do all this in a public post?

It’s the little things that count: no access to wifi, no coffee machine and heaters/fire not on to warm the tile filled place prior to arrival. 4 tea bags, 4 coffee bags and odd crockery and glass wear which makes it feel like a spare place not a main place.

Thank you for your review. We are always open to suggestions and constructive evaluation that can lead to improvement. Your review centres on "little things". We wish to dispute the facts here. 1. We do not advertise access to wifi or a coffee machine . Wifi is notoriously unreliable here and most people simply use their mobile. 2. The heaters and fire are usually started when you arrive . There is a wood heater plus three [3] electric wall heaters available to you. 3 The villa is only partially tiled and the bedrooms and lounge are carpeted as in most homes. Never any complaints before about this standard layout. 4. Our review reveals that we left 4 coffee satchels and 16 tea bags for a one night stay. Two coffee satchels were still left and several tea bags . What is your point about supply? Plenty for 2 people we suggest. 5. Crockery is not odd. There is a full setting plus matching cups and glasses. as well as extras for families and larger groups. 6 We are unclear about what "spare place" means". This is an insult.to us. We have a proud history and over a decade rate 4.8/5 on two websites.. On the same weekend in Villa A, which is identical to Villa B, our other guests gave us 5 stars.? The disappointing thing to us is that you could have discussed all this directly with us rather than do the unprofessional thing of writing a public post. We wonder at your motives? In future you might consider the potential damage you do by putting unfair and inaccurate comments on a public site. If you must comment please ensure they are accurate, fair and helpful.

Great place for a getaway

Nice, clean villa located in a relaxing and picturesque vineyard. The host was lovely and organised and for anyone looking for a little getaway in the Daylesford region, you cant go wrong with the Sailors falls estate.
