This magnificent self-contained holiday accommodation is a must see to believe. The moment you enter this home you will say WOW to the spectacular views of Rocky Cape, Bass Strait, and Detention River. With the tide in or out, the ever changing view is stunning. This fantastic 4 bedroom home is perfectly located on the North West coast in a very quiet position. Only 45 minutes from Burnie and 25 minutes from Wynyard, Table Cape, Smithton and historical Stanley. Itā€™s a perfect home base for many day trips to nearby gardens, falls, picnic areas, The Nut, Highfield and the Tarkinc. Walk just 12 steps from each bedroom to your own pristine sand beachfront. Walk the sands or go bush walking, walk to historic caves from Rocky Cape National Park. Itā€™s close to a shop and Rocky Cape Tavern for meals and drinks, if not sit back, relax and unwind and just soak up the amazing views. There is great fishing and plenty of wood to collect for a beach party.
With all the comforts of home provided you wonā€™t need a thing. This recently renovated home has been completely refurbished with all new kitchen and appliances, new bathrooms. Youā€™ll find everything you need for preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen. All you need is the food to cook.
All new beds are comfortable, complete with electric blankets, new linen and bedding. All new modern furniture and dƩcor. This perfect getaway offers 1 bedroom with two single beds and two queen-size bedrooms all with own T.V and heater. There is a bathroom/laundry with dryer and a separate toilet on the ground floor.
Walk upstairs to the open plan kitchen, lounge, dining and 1 queen-size master bedroom with full ensuite and separate toilet. All rooms have majestic views as does the balcony.
Enjoy the outdoors in your own private yard complete with BBQ,oven,fridge,cooking equitment on the outdoor deck. With plenty of parking space and a carport, this is the perfect choice for your next amazing fence with pool gate to beach,man cave with wood heater.

We appreciated being able to have our dogs with us and the house location is fabulous with stunning views and the beach at our door. It was very comfortable. We were a bit puzzled that the website description included a pool? We didn't find it!

An awesomely located property on the NW coast with a fantastic outlook of the inlet. A spacious unit with a well equipped kitchen-suited our gathering of 7 persons well! Hosts are veey responsive & helpful.

Great location on the river.

Great Hellyer Experience

This place is fantastic, with the most awesome views. The house has everything you need with very comfy beds.Big shout-out to the Housekeeper who obviously takes a lot of pride in how the place is maintained.We'll definitely be returning another day :)

Everything great attention to detail good.very

Everything there that you needed good location ,great area for children and dogs. Bbq good set up .Close to Smithton and Stanley and plenty of places of interest to go and see. Just stay there and relax at home or the beach.We all had a lovely relaxing week of holiday.

Great location

Wonderful stay and very relaxing house and surroundings. Highly recommended. The views are amazing, with great beach access. The house is really well equipped - relatively close to Stanley and attractions as well as Rocky Cape National Park. One thing weā€™ve found useful in other properties is an Information Folder about various things in the house (eg recycling, any specific things to do on departure).

Wonderful Home with beach at your back door

Fantastic house with stunning beach at the back door. Wonderful location. House very dog friendly with a fully fenced backyard. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils you would normally find in your house. Very clean and comfortable. Each of the four bedrooms were great - three had there own sitting area and TV's. Will definitely return for another great holiday here in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

High Tide

Really loved the house and main bedroom overlooking the river/sea. House practical and spacious and a real home feeling. Loved swimming in the river and watching the high tide come in as well as travelling around Nothern Tasmania. Kayak/SUP available would be awesome! Thank you though was really lovely x

Relaxing...

I enjoyed my time at Hellyer Sands so much. The house is beautiful, clean and occupies a prime position for views and accessibility to the sands and safe waters for leisure activities and birdwatching from the deck. Whilst maintaining privacy and safety, with a fully contained yard, for myself and my elderly moggie. Thankyou Peter and Lisa
