The Quarters - A real farm experience

The renovation is complete. A warm and charming farm stay awaits - a far cry from the basic abode provided to the many shearers that passed through Bondonga wool shed. Whilst maintaining its atmosphere and ambience, we provide a comfortable, well appointed and romantic experience for you to enjoy.

BONDONGA

Is a 6th generation sheep station encompassing 920 ha of undulating to hilly pastures. The focus is on the production of quality grass fed lamb. We endeavour to treat our land and animals with the greatest respect. Extensive tree planting has been undertaken and 180 acres of remnant bush is being preserved and managed. Kangaroos, wallabies and the precious platypus, along with a multitude of beautiful birds, live within the property's boundary.

Take the opportunity to experience real farm life on the ATV Tours. Hear first hand about Australian farmers, see sheep and lambs, feel the wool, experience the sounds and smell of a working shearing shed.

THE REGION

The Quarters is located 11km from the sophisticated rural city of Orange and only 3km from some of Orange's most successful vineyards - Mayfield, Sassy and Moody's.

Orange, with its vibrant and delectable food culture, is an easy drive showcasing numerous restaurants, cafes, parks and gardens.

Byng, with its convict built church and period homesteads, is a 'Must See' and only 5 minutes from Bondonga.

Enjoy the unspoiled natural beauty of the Ophir Reserve, 30 minutes from Bondonga, where Gold was first discovered in Australia in 1851. Take a picnic lunch, wander the old diggings and pan for gold.

The historic town of Millthorpe, classified by the National Trust, with its untouched cobblestone streetscape and federation buildings, top class restaurants, cafes and galleries is only a 20 minute drive.

ATV TOURS; Tours are organised by appointment prior to your stay. 2 hour tours of the farm in a Honda Pioneer ATV, 4 adults max, children will be assessed depending on age and size.
Prices start at $100 for the 1st adult, then $20 each additional passenger. Family rates apply when children U/16 travel with adults. Payment - C.O.D.
Make sure to bring a warm, weatherproof jacket and beanie.
Tours can be cancelled due to bad weather, full refund applies.
REQUEST ON BOOKING

WALKING: A number of short to longer walks are available outside of lambing time. A large area of 200 acres of preserved remnant bush OR creek side paddock walks where you might spy our illusive platypus colony. MAPS will be provided. We do not accept responsibility for any injury or loss whilst walking. ALL GATES LEFT AS YOU FIND THEM AND LIVESTOCK TO BE RESPECTED .
GUIDED WALKS: Can be arranged, particularly those who are up for a challenging 2 hour walk.
Again by appointment, warm clothes and good boots. A tariff applies.
