Charming vintage craftsman bungalow with full use of house except for several closets and basement. The property sets at the end of School Street, the gateway to wonderful downtown wine-tasting and antique shopping in the town voted the Best New Wine Region in the World by Wine Enthusiast in year’s past. Cozy front sunroom off the master bedroom, two comfy queen beds and two FULL baths, (one with a double shower head) vintage craftsman kitchen, and beautiful backyard and enchanting deck makes this the perfect weekend get away to check out Lodi, California. Full size refrigerator, gas range; three separate eating areas to enjoy the ambience of the evening. This is an evolving, energetic and eclectic part of Lodi with two wonderful new plaza/restaurant/coffee shoppe being built right across the street; as in most Central Valley towns, the train runs through the middle of town which is about 1/2 mile away. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for current events and happenings around town. In partnership with VRBO Guidelines, Covid compliant following all compliance measures recommended by CDC and WHO. A Perfect Getaway

We spent two nights and three days in Lodi with another couple, for a visit to the Sand Hill Cranes, and we just couldn't have ever found a better place to stay. The house is charming and completely comfortable, and we loved the fact that we could walk to town so easily. Really, we loved every minute of our stay in the bungalow, and I'm already looking forward to returning on our next trip to Lodi.

Great Bungalow close to downtown Lodi shops, restaurants and wineries

We stayed for three days and enjoyed being able to walk a couple blocks to downtown and explore. We really enjoyed the charm and character of the many aspects of the house. There are lots of shops, restaurants and wineries in down town Lodi and a great clock shop called the "The House of Clocks" on School street. We are planning on returning again next year! Nice, pleasant Lodi Bungalow

This was a perfect location and set up for our party of 3. At first we were a bit concerned with the proximity to a fairly busy street but the layout with the enclosed porch meant the inside was quiet in the evening and no problem. The rooms and baths worked out fine for us. The instructions were accurate for entry and we had a nice booklet with close by recommendations. We appreciated the fresh flowers and the sparkling that met us on arrival.

Fun Lodi Weekend Getaway

Our stay at the 1940's Craftsman Bungalow was exceptional. Our hosts, Carolin and Rick, were very accommodating from providing a new BBQ for our use and delicious refreshing welcome treats. They were so nice and friendly, we felt like we were staying with new friends. The location of the bungalow to downtown Lodi was perfect. It is easily within walking distance to all downtown. Extraordinary

What a surprise to walk into a home so beautifully furnished with every amenity imagined! Carolin and Rick were attentive to our every need and beyond. They helped us celebrate a birthday/anniversary stay with a surprise gift and great food and drink recommendations. All their suggestions proved to be well worth a visit. They even checked to make sure we arrived safely! The beds were super comfy, clean towels and bathrobes for all, a relaxng deck to have our morning coffee and late afternoon respite, and so much more. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You are on our list of best finds!

This bungalow is cute, comfortable and close to everything.

I had the pleasure of staying around 2 weeks in this wonderful cottage. We had a turnaround at a Stockton plant and it was challenging to find a comfortable place to stay (in Stockton)...until I discovered Lodi. Lodi is this fun little town just 12 miles north of Stockton on the 99. This 1940's craftsman bungalow is just blocks away from downtown Lodi. The winerys, the breweries, the fun, is literally just outside your front door. The home's was very comfortable, easy to warm on chilly evening and easy to cool at the peak of the afternoon, the climate inside was always just right. The worst part of the stay was that it was so hard to go to work all day when all I wanted to do was enjoy this place. I could go on and on but to keep it short and readable, let me summarize: The place is outstanding, the town is terrific, and the hosts are amazing. I highly recommend anyone who is lucky enough to find themselves in Lodi to stay in Carolin's and Rick's two bedroom paradise.

Lovely eclectic home situated near everything in Lodi

From the moment you stand on the front porch steps you realize you are entering a bygone era. The clapboard home with backyard deck is charming and perfect for morning coffee or afternoon wine. The house has many antique furniture pieces as well as great garage sale finds. It is fun browsing through the house looking at all the decorations. All electronics worked well in the house. Nice size tv in living room with comfortable seating area. The dining area was a great area to play games and look at a sailing ship from long ago. The kitchen was a throwback to grandma time with all newer and working amenities. Coffee and condiments were provided. The view out the kitchen window was to a nicely manicured tree and plant filled yard and deck. A variety of singing birds brought the sun up as we prepared for days of wine touring. The beds were comfy with adequate bedroom lighting for night reading. The back bathroom was a little small but had a large shower area with great water pressure and hot water. Downtown Lodi as an easy walk south about a half mile. This was a perfect place for two couples to stay. Thank you.

House is quirky but sufficient and a wonderful back porch to chill in the evenings. Extremely convenient walk to downtown happenings. Easy access and communication with owner. Recommend when looking for landing spot in Lodi wine country.

Cozy vintage home near downtown Lodi

Wedding weekend

We had a true sense of home as soon as we settled into the bungalow. So charming inside and out. Very soothing environment and lovely welcome treats including a nice bottle of sparkling Rose. We enjoys lounging at home during down time and visiting the many local wineries when out. The back porch was also inviting and a nice place to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. I'd definitely book again if ever back in the area. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Excellant House

Carolin & Rick were amazing hosts, leaving a nice bottle of Champagne and other little surprises for us upon our arrival. The house and backyard are everything you need and want in a VRBO, fully furnished, beds are super comfortable, the sheets are so soft we had to look at what kind they were. :) The kitchen has everything you need! You will NOT be disappointed at all in the home, or it's location. Walking distance to downtown. We will definitely be back!

A great birthday getaway!!

My wife and I have visited the Lodi region several times before but this was by far our favorite trip! We had the pleasure of traveling with another couple and all four of us were celebrating birthdays. What a great surprise to show up at this property and find cupcakes and a bottle of Rose’ waiting for us. This property was fantastic. After an afternoon of wine tasting, we would head back to our private deck for more wine tasting. The cottage was only 2 blocks from a multitude of great restaurants so we could walk downtown and do more wine tasting!! Thank you Ric and Carolin for the birthday surprise. We loved every minute of our stay and we are already making plan for a return visit. Thanks again Wayne

Fun in wine country

We had a great time in Lodi and having a place to stay central to it all was very convenient. We walked to downtown several times over a long weekend and ate out on the patio several nights. Although near train lines, I didn't notice the trains at all. Plenty of places to relax in the house. The hosts were amazingly helpful with information and availability. They sent us over to a local winery which was a lot of fun. Clean-up was simple and easy.

Perfect in Every Way!

My Sister, and another friend, and I decided to take off for the weekend of wine tasting. Lodi was the perfect place! In search of a quaint place to stay in Lodi, we stumbled upon this gem! Not only are the owners the best of host and hostess, their home is comfortable and inviting. Its walls wrap you in comfort and make you feel at home! It was our perfect getaway. Never have I met the owners, but I felt their warmth the minute we walked in the door. Thank you for opening your home to our special weekend. Without a doubt, I/we will return. Charming bungalow at the top of historical downtown !!!

This darling bungalow is so inviting the moment you set your eyes upon it! It is more charming than the pictures, and Carolin and Rick have every amenity you could possibly need. Very generous of them! Carolin even brought us over a large crock pot to make pulled pork sandwiches. Thank you! We stayed “home” that night for a family birthday night celebration and games on the back deck. Perfect location, and huge on style! Loved it and we will return there again!

Delightful step back to the 1940's

The house is a very nice example of a1940's craftsman style with the amenities of today's world. Very comfortable, close to downtown Lodi and although we did not meet Carolin or Rick they were very accommodating and made sure our stay was top notch. We would stay there again when in the area.

Refreshingly well-designed and ecclectic, with nice amenities to make your stay fun and easy. You will love the two comfy Adirondack chairs made out of wine barrels in the front sitting porch, made locally by our next-door neighbor! We listen to what you tell us when you're coming to town and try to make your stay extra special. We think guests fall in love with the comfy beds and bedding, robes for everyone, china in the cupboard, surprise bubbly in the refrigerator upon your arrival and the large country kitchen table at which to eat or play games. We appreciate loving and constructive feedback because after all, this is your stay and we want to make it perfect!
