Wanted a good base for a family wedding in Killaloe Durg House lived up to occasion! Perfect setting with fabulous views & everything you need for your stay lots of local amenities close by with the waterfront & restaurants & bars a short stroll away We had the beat time celebrating our eldest son's wedding with sunny weather! Couldn't recommend Durg House Ballina & Killaloe highly enough We will be returning!

Beautiful house in great location

Just back from a long weekend at this beautiful home. The perfect spot to have a family get together with space for the kids in the garden and bbq area on the lake. We loved our stay.

Perfect location

Beautiful location for our group of six. Weather was fabulous so we enjoyed the patio overlooking the marina area. Loved the house!

Great location for touring the west of Ireland.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was magnificent, very well equipped with everything. The garden was really beautiful and the view was just spectacular!.. short walk to pubs and restsurants. Supermarket 5 mins drive.

Property was great!!

The Dreg House was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is everything and more and the village is lovely as well. Manager is very responsive to any questions

Amazing home in a stunning location

Thanks very much for letting us stay at your Holiday home, It was absolutely fantastic and the whole family really enjoyed it. We were extremely happy with everything. I would return tomorrow, its a beautiful home, in a great location with extremely friendly people

Great house on the river Shannon.

We had a terrific stay at this property. Close to where we were attending a wedding, local shops and pubs. People here are very kind and inclined to pause and chat. 5-stars - no complaints. Would gladly return.

Family Fun - a return to our roots

The Derg House was perfect for our stay with lots of space and wonderful views from the house and from the garden. We enjoyed all aspects of the house with seating areas for all types of activities. Around the fire pit in the evenings was an especially lovely time and we saw the Aurora Borealis which was very special. Definitely a prime location for trips and for seeing family in near-by Nenagh. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Fantastic!

Seven of us (five adults and two children) stayed here for three nights in late April/early May. The home was clean, well appointed, quiet, and had a wonderful view of the Shannon and the hills beyond. The home was a short walk away from a variety of pubs and restaurants and short drive to attractions such as Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and the Cliffs of Moher. Highly recommended.

Very clean, neat, and well supplied at a nice location.

Stayed with my 2 kids, son in law, and granddaughter who is 3 years old. It was perfect for us. Very private and secure for the toddler too. I always bring cleaning supplies on trips just in case, but thankfully didn't need to use them. The House was spotless and really comfortable. LOVED IT!!!!!

Six Stars

We would give our 8 night stay 6 stars if we could. Everything exceeded our expectations. Perfect amount of room for 6 of us (3 generations), lovely stroll into the quaint villages of Ballina and Killaloe. The vacation home was clean and well stocked. The views were beautiful and relaxing. We made several meals on the outdoor gas grill and ate all of our meals on the patio, watching the swans and boats float by. Communication was quick and easy. A couple fabulous restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Thank you for the hospitality!

Home Away from Home

Thank you David for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had a wonderful view every morning upon rising and when we stayed up far too late, a wonderful sunset. The location was perfect for us to take day trips to all the places we wanted to visit from a home base. We didn't have to pack and unpack every day like we would have if we had done the B&B route. The home was accessible and perfect for our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend the restaurant Tuscany on the Ballina side for excellent food and the Super Valu grocery market had all we needed to make our own full Irish breakfast every morning.

Perfect for a Ballina/Killaloe Stay

The house is exactly as in the photos. It was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was exceptionally kitted out for feeding a large group. We were lucky with the weather and virtually lived on the deck watching the boats go by! One tip - if anybody is visiting soon, then you should book your restaurants early as we found it difficult some days due to Covid dining restrictions. Our best picks were Mat the Threshers in Birdhill and Larkins in Garrykennedy. Flanagans on the Lake was the closest and a lovely spot. We'll be back!!

Beautiful River View

We had a great four day stay at this well-equipped river side home. The views from each level were beautiful to wake up to. The house was light, bright, clean, and nicely renovated. We were a party of six and enjoyed the open living space and the extra den. We were able to spread out, and were impressed with the DVD selection and video games. We appreciated the en-suite baths for each upstairs bedroom and the many modern amenities. We were there over our US Thanksgiving holiday and still managed to cook a nice holiday dinner and sit around the large dining room table. This home is even better than the photos!

Lovely Holiday

We rented Derg House for a month. The location was perfect and allowed for near and far exploration. The view from the deck was gorgeous. The house is spacious, yet cozy. When our children joined us for week four there was plenty of room. All the amenities are there including wifi and washer/dryer. The owners provide plenty of useful information about the house and the area. One small criticism. We cooked most nights and the kitchen is not as well equipped as I would like. In all other respects I would highly recommend Derg House.
