Our conveniently located Smoky Mountain Cabin Rental sits nestled in a quiet area of Dandridge, TN on Douglas Lake, well known for bass fishing, watersports, and gorgeous views. We are close to Gatlinburg, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood to enjoy tourist attractions and hiking trails. The lodge was recently updated with a large boat dock, and we provide an affordable pontoon boat rental option to our guests in the summer months. A convenient boat ramp is also located 200 yards from the house if you’d prefer to bring your own boat.
The lodge is spacious with high ceilings, a walk out lower level, a wraparound balcony and a beautiful view of Douglas Lake from a quiet peninsula. Recent upgrades to the lodge include a master bathroom renovation, a state-of-the-art fire place, and all new carpet and furniture. Stay cool and enjoy central A/C, several HD TVs, a foosball table, and pool table.

Amazing views

The location and view are wonderful! The beds are VERY comfortable! Huge house with plenty of room and easy access to the lake. If needed,walmart in Newport delivers here! We had a great time!

Great lodge!

Great location with plenty of parking. The views were amazing! The lodge had plenty of bedrooms. The temperature got down in the teens but the lodge stayed nice and toasty.

Great lakefront stay

This beautiful house was perfect for our family stay at the lake! There was plenty of room, a dock for the boat and jetskis, and an easy walk to the water. The location is pretty close to Dollywood area, so there was plenty to do when not on the water. Loved our time there and will be back!

Spring Break Trip

Great family home. Had everything we needed. Host was very friendly and easily accessible. Water was definitely an issue due to the sulfur smell but we managed with gallons. If bringing a boat make sure to check the water level as we were unable to dock.

Perfect vacation spot on the lake

Our stay was wonderful. The area is peaceful and the property has plenty of space for a larger group of couples. My only recommendation: if it's been a while since you've made a pot of coffee, bring your Keurig 😁

The views from the home are absolutely amazing. The upgrades to the master bath were beautiful. The location is private and peaceful which is what we were looking for. However, there were some issues that were disappointing. We found a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and the coffee pot was so dirty we had to soak it overnight to get it clean for use. The deck has several soft and rotten boards that I would not be comfortable allowing children to walk on. The deck area, including table and chairs were also filthy.

Away from it all with a beautiful view!

The house is away from it all and directly on the water. Peacetime beautiful. My family loved the house and Walmart even delivers so you don’t have to drive out for groceries unless you want to. A easy drive to food and fun. Big yard with plenty of room for the bounce house we rented. Great stay!

The stay was wonderful. The accommodations were exquisite. Yes, there is a sulfur smell to the water but a wax melt was there and provided. I also bought some plug-ins after reading reviews and honestly, it was a non-issue. We had cell service the whole time, but we have Verizon. Location was phenomenal. The upper deck could use some maintenance, but it was sturdy and not a problem. The only thing we could have asked for to be better was more water pressure. I absolutely recommend this location for anyone wanting a high-end getaway.

The property is located in a very nice part of Douglas Lake. There is a large amount of room for a large family and or friends. Although there were a few hiccups the host did work with us to get things in order. Overall, we had a great time just being able to be with our family members and make some great memories.

Great time had by all!

First and foremost, our family had an absolutely wonderful time! Communication with the host was excellent. In general, the home was clean. All the big things that mattered most were perfectly clean. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bunk room in what used to be the master closet. That came in handy for sure. Although the lake water level is on its way down for the season, we thoroughly enjoyed the warm water and we all came home a bit water logged! We would definitely enjoy this home again!

The worst

Don’t stay here. No pillowcases for pillows, bathrooms dirty, water smells so bad you can’t shower or brush your teeth. Not worth the money at all!!!! Worst Christmas I have ever had!!

Kitchen has all you need to cook. Propane grill has leak and lost full tank. Beds were comfortable. There was a surprise bunk room off main bedroom suite. Water pressure on first floor slightly bad. Make sure you hold down bathroom toilet handle for a few seconds then pull up. Basement pressure ok. Pontoon boat was wonderful. Enough life jackets for all. Bring water slippers cuz rocks. Slip n slide a great surprise too. Fishing not too great but caught a few. WiFi no problem and Verizon only a few brown areas on the road to house. Views of water and sunset breath-taking. We brought our water to drink but they have a culligan filtering system. Decks does need some maintenance. Dollywood, gatlinburg and pigeon forge not far. Enjoyed a day of each. Check in and out by phone real easy. The hill to the boat dock is steep. I have mobility issues and could not do so I sat on deck with drink in one hand and phone in the other taking pictures of family. Enjoy your time there. We did.

Just OK

Pros: Great access to the lake, plenty of space to spread out at night in the house. Very Private Cons: Deck is falling apart and has holes in it. Most outlets don't work, and lights are burnt out and leave the rooms dark. The keypad to check in doesn't work most times. Air conditioner in the basement is undersized and leaves the space very warm. Overall: The house is very worn and in need of updates it's nice for what it is but overpriced for the quality of the stay.

Will not book ever again here

The only good thing about this is the location and the view house is big but needs lots of updates over price he likes to milk money but not investing to fix thinks very dirty as we arrived not been cleans I took pic and talk to the owner about it lied that he will take some money out never did water is horible stinks like roaten eggs could take a shower for 5 nights you need to go buy fresh water to brush teeth wash face etc he controls the temperature thermostat I ask for the pin he dint wanna give it to us always have to Tex him turn up or down and more to it any way I don’t recomand this place even tho the pic on line looks good it’s not what you see that lake was drain out over 30 ft and I don’t know that until I got there bad vacation and we had 3 birthdays in this place horrible

Mixed feelings

The Lake and location were perfect. AC broke but got fixed within day, send a lawn cutter during our stay which someone on trip is allergic to fresh cut grass, no heads up they just showed, sent tru green another day,and also culligan. There were no pillow cases left for us and only 2 wash cloths for an entire week of a group of 10, 1 roll of tp in bathrooms and we found dirty spiderman underwear in an endtable, also the back porch is in rough shape boards are cracking and nails coming up, the ceiling fan from the balcony missing an arm so couldnt have a breeze at all. There isnt a keurig as the website states nor a firepit just so everyone is aware. So our trip was interrupted alot, the owner thought we wanted his boat for week which we paid 600 to use, which only had approximayely 9 gallons of gas which we put 12 in before we left, got bill for 19 gallons on way home , which we paid immediately and than the owner attempted charging me and effort fee of 50, hahaha nope not paying.however, the experience wasnt fun we still made our vacation fun!

Not a good experience

The location is awesome. Owner was responsive. The house has many nice features but needs the owner to take the time and money to make it worth the money. During the week the main floor air conditioner did not work. We slept in 83-85 degree temps. The owner had a ac service come out but they could not fix it. The “slight “ sulfur smell is actually very strong. Taking a shower or washing the dishes was really rough. The master shower stall is covered in black stains and the shower head barely worked. I felt bad having my wife shower in it. The walking ramp to the dock fell apart after a few days and when I told the owner it was dangerous he asked if we built it? Very strange. Both the deck and bottom outdoor area were covered in spiderwebs, the furniture was not clean and the cement pad outside the bottom floor was covered with green mold. Again the location is great and the house has great potential but to be worth what they charge it needs lots of care.

The house was super nice and the view of the lake was amazing. Downstairs however there were alot of bees that got inside somehow and the deck had a ton of spider eggs. The deck needs to be updated as it had some holes and you had to be careful were you stepped. I will say I'm not sure who the cleaning crew is between stays, but they didn't do a great job on the tables and the vacuum was full and didn't work well as we did clean things before we left. The host was very easy to talk with and get ahold of. I would suggest they get some new pans for cooking as some of them were old and started to have the bottom peel off. Also would suggest getting a toaster. I would defiantly come back to visit in the summer when the lake is higher so we could use the boat dock and slide that was off to the side of the house. I loved that it was pretty secluded and we didn't have to look at any other houses across the way. The stars were also so beautiful at night since there was no light pollution from any cities.

Douglas Lake Vacay

Large lakefront property with a dock and pontoon boat (separate rental fee) with plenty of deck and patio to enjoy the views of Douglas Lake. Nice house with a large kitchen and master. We would stay at this property again and recommend this rental for families wanting lake access.

Great place to disconnect, but be prepared

The overall experience with the Lake house was nice. It had more than adequate space for 4 couples and two children. I am sure other groups would love the pool table and foosball table. The views were amazing and many beautiful sunsets were admired. The lake was warm and inviting. There was a slide off the side of the property that was not indicated in the add. Water was not available to use with the slide. Owners should indicate if they wish for it to be used or not. The pontoon boat was a nice addition to the rental although flags were not found and lights did not easily come on. For a rental of this size and being so far from a store it would have been helpful to have two refrigerators. Several items typically in a rental home were not available such as hand soap for bathrooms. We also had to purchase towels as there was not an adequate amount for each person. There were not enough pillows for the number of people who were staying in the house. The house did not appear to be cleaned well prior to our arrival as large piece of glass were found on the floor in bedrooms and throughout the home. The basement restroom/shower had visible dirt on the floor and many insects. A basement bedroom with no windows did not have a working light or ceiling fan. The owner was contacted and no assistance was given to resolve the situation other than ordering a new fan/light. We ended up going to another store and buying a lamp for the week that we were there. This would not have resolved the issue as the light fixture was getting no power. It was discovered that the filter had not been changed since 2019 which is possibly why many members of our group were struggling with allergies. The power went out a few times during our visit due to some people removing trees up the road. This was a problem when using a crockpot to make dinner. This was a nice location for a group who wishes to completely disconnect from others and enjoy a relaxing time. It was also great for those who wish to explore new adventures in Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Deerfarm horse riding and petting zoo. For those who wish to engage in water sports those could be found a few miles away for a price.

Great View

The house was very nice, the view of the lake was amazing. We really enjoyed being able to access the lake, the large dock was great. The walk to the dock is alittle steep, but worth the walk. The beds are super comfortable. The only complaint I had is the smell of the water, it is very strong! The manager was upfront about the smell when I asked. We took bottled water and did just fine. I would defiantly vacation here again!
