"Casa Suzy" is a Stylish Top Floor Air Conditioned, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment that sleeps up to 4. Equipped with Free Wi-Fi Internet access & IPTV, including UK, & some International channels. This Sunny South facing apartment occupies a prime position on this small exclusive development. The balcony attracts the sun from morning to early evening. Boasting three pools, including a children's pool and a tennis court. Our apartment is fully licensed by Lagoa council for holiday lettings, complying with their legal health & safety requirements. The select blue flag beaches of Praia Nossa Senhora da Rocha and Praia Nova are within a 5 minute stroll. Our apartment is beautifully appointed and has been equipped to an extremely high standard to make it a home from home.
We have a range of restaurants, bars & a large supermarket all within walking distance.


Interests: This is a delightful tranquil area of the Algarve. Its central position makes it an ideal base to explore the whole of the Algarve with many places of interest and amenities within close proximity, horse riding, aqua parks, karting, Zoomarine, Quad Biking & Jeep Safari.

There is an abundance of golf courses along the stretch of the Algarve, discount tees can sometimes be arranged . Approx distances to the nearest by car are: Gramacho, Vale de Pinta & Silves 15 minutes, Salgados & Vale de Milho (9 holes) 8 minutes, Balaia Golf Village 22 minutes, Pine Cliffs 25 minutes. Vilamoura with numerous courses 20 minutes, Penina Portimao 15 minutes, Alto golf Alvor 20 minutes. and the new Amendoeira Golf Resort featuring The Faldo & The O'Connor Jnr Courses just 7 minutes.

Perfect property

This was a great property with an excellent location. It was modern and clean and exactly what we wanted. Sue was an excellent host that welcomed us with a gift basket that was perfect. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

The apartment was modern with everything needed for the stay, and more. Sue provided an excellent welcome pack with bread, cheese, wine etc - very helpful after the flight! Extra touches like everything you'd need for the beach (towels, cool bag, umbrellas), loads of things for cooking, and all the uk tv stations made everything so much better (especially the tv with teenagers...). The location is perfect for the pool and fantastic beaches (5 mins walk), with boat trips and other excursions less than 30 mins away. Only 5 mins drive from two large supermarkets made shopping very easy. Fantasic apartment and great hosts made this a perfect place to stay. The holiday was over far too quickly and we'd definately stay again.

The apartment was clean and very well appointed. The owners, Sue and Mike, were quick to respond to all inquiries. They also provided much appreciated welcome provisions. The apartment is in a good location close to the beach and not too far from popular Algarve attractions.

Perfect Stay

Great set-up for 2 or more. Kitchen has everything you need. TV with international channels was a wonderful surprise for a hockey fan missing the NHL playoffs. 10 minutes to the beach, and cliff walk can get you to many other beaches. Good variety of restaurants nearby (highly recommend Quirinu's), as well as a reasonably well stocked market. Could have stayed a month.

Fabulous Apartment

The apartment is fabulous, very stylish has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent with beaches, restaurants and supermarkets all within walking distance, ideal for families. However, we would recommend a car to explore other places as there is a whole host of things to do and see. Vilamoura is only 20 mins by car and would fully recommend the sailing trip which you can obtain through the owners. Unfortunately, we didn’t spot any dolphins but had a marvelous time viewing the caves and swimming in the Sea. We had such a great relaxing holiday that we are already making arrangements to return.

Delightful apartment with beautiful views

We strayed 10 days in this beautiful apartment with fantastic views. Very peaceful and quiet. The pool was fantastic and the beach less than 10 mins walk. We didn’t have a car but caught Ubers when we wanted to go further afield. They were very cheap. Recommend going to Tasca 26 to eat which is less than a 10 min walk from the apartment. Als big shout out to Sue for the welcome pack at the apartment! Wine, bread, cheese, ham and butter etc. so lovely to arrive to when we had been travelling. Really recommend staying. 😃

Excellent apartment near the beach

We loved our stay at Sue & Mike's apartment and would definitely come back. The location is great: walking distance to the beach, and to restaurants. Also - the Intermarche is perhaps just 10 min walk, and if you have a car - Lidl and Continental are also near by. Just really - everything you need for your stay. The apartment is well equipped, and the beach towels and the air-conditioning were a life saver!! Having the morning coffee on the terrace with a sea view was priceless! The hosts greeted us on arrival and showed us around - which was a really nice touch. They have been so helpful and understanding, easy to communicate with (from beginning to end) and helped us big time when our flight home got cancelled - they just went the extra mile for us and we are so grateful. Would 100 % recommend with no hesitation!

Well equipped apartment in a perfect location.

This was our second stay at Casa Suzy and our fourth stay in Porches. Set in a quiet corner of Porches, the apartment has stunning sea views and is only a few hundred yards from a beautiful beach. There are 4 restaurants and a large supermarket within a 5 mins walk and the larger busier town of Amacao de Pera is just a 10min walk away. The apartment has all the comforts of home and is extremely well kept and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Sue and Mike were there to greet us when we arrived and had once again stocked the kitchen with a welcome pack that included beer, wine, milk, cheese, ham, eggs and bread. We enjoyed the apartment and area so much we have booked again for next year. Thanks to Sue and Mike for being wonderful hosts and sharing your lovely apartment, we are looking forward to coming back next year.

Loved the area

The description was accurate. The sofas are a little worned down. The beds are uncomfortable and the TV didnt work in living room. And housekeeping could have been better! However; the location of the property allowed us to take short drives to other areas which we thoroughly enjoyed! The owners were extremely nice and welcoming. They responded promptly when we had questions. They even had some welcome items so we would not have to go to grocery store right away. If they replaced the furniture and beds it would be a place to return too.

However, we have to say that we were surprised & somewhat disappointed at some of your negative comments, particularly as your private feedback to us was “Things have been great!”, and under the circumstances felt that we needed to respond to these. Sorry that you found the beds to be uncomfortable, although we appreciate that everyone has a personal preference. We haven’t had any similar comments and would add that they are expensive mattresses and fairly new. Sorry too that you thought the housekeeping could have been better, we take great pride in our presentation and cleanliness, if you had raised any issues with us during your stay these could have been addressed. It was very unfortunate that the TV Channels were not working which we made you aware of upon your arrival and which was beyond our control due to a transmission problem with our IPTV provider. You agreed that this would not be a problem to you as you had Amazon Prime Video subscription which you could watch. Appreciate your kind comments.

Beautiful apartment for a Family

We’re a family of 4, with a 3 year old and an 8 month old, Sue was an amazing host and her communication was faultless. The apartment is huge and so well equipped! She even had baby bottles and a steriliser! Travelling with young children is definitely hard work but this apartment was like home from home and made the holiday so much more relaxing for us. Sue and Mick even left a “welcome pack” that was more like a small shop with all the essentials like bread, ham, cheese milk etc….and wine! for when we arrived which was a massive help with a hangry toddler, the wine was very much appreciated when the kids were in bed! The pool area is lovely and quiet. Our only downside was the surrounding area was very quiet and lacking in shops/bars/restaurants within walking distance. But we hired a car and the nearby towns have plenty in them if you want to go and explore. The place is perfect for a quiet relaxing break.

Great place in the Algarve

The hosts understand travelers. We were lost (gps wasn't working), so Mike came to get us and lead us to the property. Upon arrival, Mike and Sue introduced us to their place. It was great. The amenities were really nice (i.e. bathroom soap bar was good quality, not a small chip; plenty of bath and kitchen towels, etc. etc.) The kitchen was very well equipped. Two patios so we always had shade on one of them. Nice beds, plenty of hot water. We didn't lack anything. A nice surprise was the welcome package--it included things we could eat for a light dinner and snack and included wine. The area was quiet, clean and serene. Parking was ample and safe. Again, Mike and Sue understand the needs of travelers and aim to make their stay pleasant. From our perspective, they more that succeeded. Thank you Mike and Sue.

Very nice apartment with swimming pool

Very nice apartment. Only 10 minutes walk to the beach. There are around 8 restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Nice swimming pool right outside the apartment & they provide sun loungers & beach towels. The pool area was quite quiet. There was plenty of parking outside the apartment. The welcome pack was really nice to have - bread, milk, cheese, ham, butter, beer, wine etc They also provide 2 large cool boxes, 2 smaller cool bags, 3 parasols, umbrellas, tennis racquets & balls. The nearest supermarket is Intermarché which is only about 3 minutes drive & they had plenty of baguettes, rolls etc at all times of day The apartment is situated in the middle of the Algarve so ideally situated to visit all of the Algarve. All the beaches we went to were really nice. You could get hundreds of channels on both tvs including all the English channels & all the sports channels The main balcony was ideal to sit out on for an evening meal in the sun & the balcony outside the front door was nice to sit on the have breakfast in the sun I would highly recommend this apartment & we had a great stay

Beautiful apartment with stunning sea views

Having stayed on this development a couple of times before in a neighbouring apartment, we knew the area well and how beautiful it is. That being said, Sue and Mikes apartment was absolutely fantastic and better than where we have stayed previously. Their apartment was extremely well equipped, even having washing machine and dishwasher tabs in the cupboard (even though we had packed some just in case). The hosts were there to meet us when we arrived and had even provided a welcome pack that included water, a fresh bread stick, butter, milk, ham, eggs, cheese, crisps, orange juice, red & white wine and a pack of beers. They had even bought a couple of cans of fizz for our kids, such attention to detail. The apartment was spotless and had just had all new aircon units installed in the lounge and two bedrooms. Mike took us through the IPTV and aircon controls and left us to enjoy an unforgettable holiday in a beautiful location. The IPTV service stopped working a couple of times, but following Mikes instructions was back up and running in a couple of minutes. We really couldn't fault anything at casa Suzy and we are already looking at dates for next summer. Well done Sue and Mike, you've got it spot on. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

Great stay at Casa Suzy

We totally recommend a stay at Casa Suzy. The apartment is excellent: comfortable, very well equipped, really nice pool and the balcony is well prepared for meals. We only had dinner once in the dining room! Location is great: short walk from the beach and a really quiet location, such as we were looking for. Communication with host was perfect and we felt really welcome by Sue and Mike! The welcome pack was really helpful, since it allowed us to have a first meal at home, until we waited for the supermarket order (we ordered previously online). We really hope to return to this lovely place and stay at Casa Suzy again.

Super appartement

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l’appartement de Sue. Il est très bien situé et bien équipé. Nous avons également apprécié les petites attentions à notre arrivée. Je recommande vivement!

Perfekt!

Wir wurden sehr nett von Sue begrüßt, sie hat uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Außerdem hatte sie uns schon zur Begrüßung ein großes Lunchpaket mit Brot, Milch, Eier, Käufen, Schinken, Butter und Wein mitgebracht. Das Apartment ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und liegt sehr zentral zum Strand, Supermarkt und Restaurants. Wir haben uns mehr als wohlgefühlt und würden immer wieder bei Sue buchen.

Sehr schönes Appartment für einen Urlaub

Wir haben 3 Wochen in diesem liebevoll eingerichteten App. verbracht. Nicht nur die persönliche Übergabe war vorbildlich, auch das Willkommensgeschenk für die nächsten Tage mit Getränken und Speisen hat uns überrascht und runden den tollen Gesamteindruck ab. Was Sue und Ihr Mann für einen gelungenen Urlaub machen können, ist erfolg. Einige nagative Eindrücke aus dem Umfeld, damit muss man wohl rechnen, wenn man in einer größeren Anlage Urlaub macht (z.B. halten sich Engländer wohl an gar keine Poolregeln!) und wenn nur 10 Gäste da sind, sind dennoch 70 Liegen rund um den Pool drapiert, ohne dass sich jemand darum kümmert und dann dort auch nicht gereinigt werden kann.

Thank you for your comments so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the Sun Loungers as they are individually owned by the Property Owner it is up to them to request their guests to tidy them up.

Rundum zufrieden

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung mit super Ausstattung, netter Kontakt zu dem Vermieterehepaar, ruhige Lage, Strand fußläufig zu erreichen, wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen.
