The Leakey side - Whiskey Mountain Duplex - Great Location!

My place is close to Garner State Park (3 Miles), Lost Maples Park, Frio River, Concan, Utopia, Kerrville, & Uvalde. The famous three sisters (best driving roads in the USA) You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets), Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night.
Sleeps 5-6 – Each cabin offers a queen size bed, two twin beds, a couch, & a queen air mattress, full kitchen, full bath/shower,  and BBQ grill, heat & air on each side.  Each side reserved separately.  It also has a large covered front porch.
This cabin includes the following:
Fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, cookware, dishes and utensils to prepare meals.
BBQ pit and picnic table with grilling utensils.
Covered front porch with patio furniture to sit, chit chat, read or just do absolutely nothing but enjoy the beautiful Texas Hill Country views!
Each bed has a quilt, pillow(s) and a mattress protector.  You must BRING your own Towels, Sheets, & Pillowcases (2 Queens & 2 Twins).
Free Wi-Fi - Country Wifi is for basic texting b/c phone service is not always great. It is not intended for working or downloading music/movies.
Satellite T.V.
  This cabin does NOT include the following:
Trash bags, zip lock bags, & Paper Products-*** but we do supply you with ONE of the following: toilet paper, paper towel roll, trash bag, coffee, & sugar.
Sheets & Towels – You must BRING your own Towels, Sheets, & Pillowcases (2 Queens & 2 Twins).

While the main entrance and paved portion are easily accessible, the area leading to the back duplexes is a little more rugged. For guests traveling on heavier motorcycles, we would be happy to recommend one of our cabins closer to the front of the property, where access is smoother and more motorcycle-friendly. Cabin was cozy and felt remote and private even though it’s close to the road and town. Very clean and had everything we needed. I would suggest bringing food to cook because restaurants are limited and close early. Also the grocery store is very limited in what is available.

Wonderful stay, beautiful space, close to everything, very clean and cozy. This is a duplex, so you will have neighbors to share your porch. Not a big deal for us, we had the best neighbors but thought I would mention. Loved watching the hummingbirds off of the front porch, so beautiful.

This was our fourth or fifth time staying at Whiskey Mountain. I am always impressed with the cabin, the professionalism of the owner and the cleanliness of the unit. I have three kids, my husband, and I and the cabin is the perfect size for us. We stay at the Leakey cabin and it feels like a home away from home. We will definitely be back.

Really quite place to relax only problem is at night it really hard to pin point what drive way to turn to caues it so dark really needs lighting out there we did notice some stringing of light on the gat but by the time u see them u have to turn around and we were sad we didn't see any hummingbird we loved drinking coffee and seeing them last time we visited

Great place to disconnect. Minutes from garner state park. Loved the fire pit areas. Just great all around. Can’t ask for a better booking. Easy to book, easy to check in. Very much recommend!

Great location with rustic charm. The well‑stocked kitchen made cooking easy, and nights were dark and quiet. Beds were meh, and the window unit was loud (light sleepers take note), but shutting it off at night worked fine. Our sleeping bags kept us warm, and the cabin reheated quickly each morning. We'd absolutely stay again. Rustic charm outweighs the quirks.

Thank you for the good, honest review. We have a brand new air conditioner in this cabin and have not received any complaints of it being loud, but will certainly look into. We do provide an extra blanket in closet as well as on the beds :) We hope you utilized them as well. We take every suggestion into consideration and do what we can to make sure our guests have an awesome stay. Glad you enjoyed yours and we have we have the opportunity to host you again!

Memorial Day Trip 2025

I met my husband, Darren (Daz) in 2001 while he was working here in the states. He moved here from Scotland in 2001. We then had our son, Connor in February 2004 and our daughter, Isla in May 2008. The first time I took my husband to the Frio River he fell in love and we kept the family tradition going with our kids, making it a must every year. Then we moved to the beautiful Texas Hill Country in April 2015 & bought Whiskey Mountain Inn on July 22, 2016. We are looking forward to this new adventure.

My place is close to Garner State Park (3 Miles), Lost Maples Park, Frio River, Concan, Utopia, Kerrville, & Uvalde. The famous three sisters (best driving roads in the USA) You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets), Pets are an additional $15 per pet, per night.

Only 2 miles - There is Happy Hollow tube rentals & shuttle. You take a right out of property & You park there and they shuttle you for tubing.
Only 2 miles - The Washbarn is open 24 hrs - 7 Days a week, you take a left out of the property & it is on the right.
1/2 mile to Buckhorn Bar & Grill
