A fresh look includes updated kitchen cabinetry, new furniture and rugs for the two living areas, new dining lighting and décor! Located in the private Winding River community of "Sea Side", you will enjoy relaxing in your private hot tub and taking a dip in the community oceanfront pool with beach house open Apr 15-Oct 15. Plan a fun filled day on your boat with a daylight unassigned slip per availability. Fantastic views of the Intracoastal Waterway from your screened porch! Updates include newer appliances, flat screen TVs in both master bedrooms, outdoor seating and charcoal grill. Public beach access located within easy walking distance.

Amazing house and a great location!

Always Chillin' is a great house setup perfectly for families. Not only was the house well equipped and extremely clean, but the breathtaking views of the ICW were fantastic. We are looking forward to booking this house again in the near future!

Perfect Family Vacation

Always Chillin’ was perfect for our family Spring Break vacation. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was clean and well maintained. The house was exactly as described. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

Excellent Stay

We have been going to Holden Beach for 15 years and this was one of our favorite stays. The house is large and comfortably sleeps 14 people which is exactly how many were in our group. The kitchen is large and well equipped with all you could need to cook. The many porches and rooftop deck allow you lots of spreading out while enjoying the beautiful scenery. The beach is a very short and easy straight shot walk. The hot tub and community pool are icing on the cake. We highly recommend this property and hope to return next year.

You're not getting a good nights rest here....totally overpriced for what they offer

This is not someone's home. It is for sale and is a shell of a home. Managed by a realty company and the contract is 10 or so pages long. look for something else

Best of Both Worlds !

Always Chillin" has the best of both worlds, easy access to the intracoastal waterway and a very short walk to the beach! The views of the intracoastal can't be beaten , its a joy to sit and watch the yachts and fishing boats glide by and of course its easy to join them with access to your own slipway. The top floor is flooded with light from the many windows and open floor plan and of course cocktails on the roof deck are a must at sunset. The kids can have their own space on the 2nd floor playing wii games, reading books or watching tv. The short walk to the beach means those beach chairs and equipment aren't too heavy before you hit that warm sand and see the ocean, with access to the clubhouse with pool and amenities you can relax and enjoy for hours :) Once home the kids can shower outside or pop into the hot tub while the adults enjoy beverages and make dinner. Needless to say this house has always been beautiful, spacious and always clean! Look for ward to Chillin' again!!

Good -- could be great!

Property needs a deep clean and a overall inspection of property. Some furniture was broken, hot tub was having issues/broken parts, some kitchen items were broken, and some other minor things. We were not a fan of the location of the kids bunk room -- the outside door within the room leads to the road. Positives though Great location -- quick 5 minutes walk to the beach -- 10 minute walk to a couple different restaurants -- we really enjoyed our meals at Castaway and Lou Lou's! Parking lot by the beach allows for parking of one vehicle which was awesome for our beach days -- community pool was small but clean and convenient. House size was perfect for us -- kitchen is WELL STOCKED -- we definitely didn't need to bring all our extra kitchen equipment. Was a bit annoying to have to make our own beds upon arrival -- but not a deal breaker. Overall we really enjoyed the property...it just needs some TLC and it will be PERFECT!

Great location

Great location. We were right next to the waterway with beautiful views. The home had large gathering spaces for family meals and just hanging out! Porches galore that offered spectacular views. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The only negative would be, the home really does need a deep cleaning. Overall, we really enjoyed the home and would definitely stay again!!

House needs a deep clean & some TLC!

House is in Winding River Community which is a good thing but since I am extremely familiar with the community led to disappointment. The house needs better housekeeping! Black mold was extremely bad in the walk in shower, all carpets in bedrooms need to be steam cleaned and perhaps replaced. The carpets are so bad (stains, etc), we wore indoor shoes at all times. Some of the dining room chairs are broken. And any wooden chair furniture you see in pictures on decks is not there (only a picnic table or very rusted old metal chairs) and most decks are bare of furniture preventing renters from enjoying them. The house was large and provided plenty of room and it is a shame house is in the condition it is in. (All this was reported to proactive vacations the property management company.)

Denise, we do apologize for the condition of the property during your stay. The house was sold to a new owner the day that you checked out. The new owner did come in during the following two weeks after your stay and performed deep cleaning of the property, replaced all of the things that you referenced that were broken, and made other improvements to the property. We regret that this had not taken place prior to your stay.

Nice Chillin family house

Great house, lots of space and living area. Big kitchen and nice decks off each level. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was would have preferred to have been on beach. Close to beach and easy to get to.

Amazing family vacation

We had the best time and made lots of memories. The kids had a blast hanging out on the screened in porch, swimming in the ocean and pool and walking to Sunset Slush.

Great Place - One small Critique

This house was just what our family needed. In addition to being spacious and well-stocked it was the perfect setting. All of our service calls were responded to promptly. Our one critique is that the house only comes with 1 pool access card. Given that the house sleeps 12 they really need to provide 2 access cards. Many times beach time was interrupted by having to take someone the card to gain access to the pool. Overall a small inconvenience that is outweighed the incredible location and layout of the house. The elevator was also awesome for unloading and packing up. We hope to stay here again!

Charming

This is an adorable house. We stayed here with our friends (4 adults, 5 kids). The house was spacious, clean and well decorated. The house was in walking distance of the beach and quietly nestled along the coastal water way. This was our first time visiting Holden Beach and we fell in love with this quaint little town. It is perfect for families and people looking for a quiet, relaxing beach experience. The beaches were clean and not crowded at all. The pool was located directly off the beach and had private access to bathrooms and beach showers. This was perfect for rinsing off after a long day at the beach. The kids had fun playing in the pool. The house was well stocked and had all the amenities that you would need. My only complaint is that the beds were a little hard. It wasn’t the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Our traveling companions had the same complaint regarding the King beds. However, that being said everything else about the house was great. We loved having dinner on the screened in porch and enjoyed watching the sunset from the rooftop deck. I would definitely consider renting this home again.

Always Chillin is Awesome

Our stay was 6/16-23/2018. We had 10 members of our family, ages 19-82, reside comfortably for the week. The open floor plan of kitchen, dining & living areas allowed "together time" and the 5 bedrooms provided privacy for quiet time. All of the porches are great and the views of the ICW are spectacular and from the front second balcony you can see the ICW to the left and the Atlantic to the right!!! Everything was in perfect working order and MOST importantly, It was immaculate. Hats off to the housekeeper!! The decor is colorful and beachy. It is nice, but not over the top, making it very comfortable to relax. Elevator was very appreciated by the seniors and for groceries, etc. There is ample parking for several vehicles. It is a very short distance (easy walk) to the beach public access at the end of the street and public parking at the access or private parking at the clubhouse where the beachfront pool is located. Lovely neighborhood with beautiful, well kept homes with landscaped yards. The day dock is very nice and easily accessed from house. Hot tub was in excellent working order and very clean as well. Will definitely return to Always Chillin on our next visit to HOLDEN The Jones/Wood Family

Chillin' at Always Chillin'

What a perfect week! This house has the complete setup!! Plenty of space & bedrooms to comfortably fit multiple families & lots of kids! Everything was very well taken care of and exceptionally clean. The VIEWS!!! I was a bit sad that we wouldn't be directly on the beach... but 10 min after arriving that thought was lost! The views of the inter coastal waterway were both entertaining and relaxing at the same time! The proximity to the beach, community pool and fishing made every member of my family a " happy camper". We will definitely be going back!

Great vacation home!

We have been going with our children and grandchildren to this beautiful, well furnished house for several summers now. We especially like the five bedrooms and four baths, so that each family has its own bathroom. The location, with short walks to the waterway and beach, is perfect. Another asset we all love is the beach clubhouse with pool. We enjoy riding bikes on the quiet area streets with lovely houses and yards. The fantastic views from the crow's nest and the hot tub are favorites, too! We never look for anything better, because this is the best!

Always a great place for chillin'!

I've stayed at this property 2 or 3 times in the last few years. The amenities are great, the home is very well kept, plenty of cooking/dining supplies in the kitchen which is very important to me. The walk to the beach is a piece of cake and I'm usually a oceanfront renter for the convenience of beach access. The views from the elevated outside sitting areas/decks are great and easily accessed from the kitchen/dining/living areas. This property is easily on par with rentals we've had at Topsail, Emerald Isle and Folly Beach. Will definitely return and can highly recommend.

Great vacation - convenient to Waterway and Great Views

We booked Always Chillin' for a long weekend with one other family and had a wonderful time. The layout is great with kitchen on the top level and great views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The kids enjoyed the central "lounge" on the first floor as their own gathering spot including video games, while adults enjoyed the huge, well equipped kitchen and top floor deck. We brought our boat and used the ramp by the bridge. Since the house is so close to the waterway, we could pick up and drop off members of our group throughout the day with only a short walk. There's a sandy area there as well, and the kids enjoyed cast-netting and catching all sorts of little creatures. The house was clean and well decorated, and everything was in great shape - we look forward to vacationing here again!

Perfect setting for FAMILY or FRIENDS time! I've visited a couple times with friends and a couple times with family. What's not to LOVE? -- spacious and happy bedrooms, a well equipped and large kitchen, nooks and crannies to sit in small groups, a clean hot tub; and my most favorite -- the porch overlooking the inter-coastal waterway. Oh, and of course -- there is short walk to the beach, access to a pool, places to walk or ride bikes. We enjoyed taking a water taxi to go out to eat, bird watching, looking for sea glass, chartering a fishing boat and visiting "beaches n cream" for the best ice cream ever. Always Chillin' is my favorite NC destination. Close to Wilmington too -- for a little extra sight seeing. and BONUS -- it has an elevator.

Great gathering area

Always Chillin' is a great place to stay on Holden. The reverse floor plan has beautiful views and makes the top floor bright and cheery. The spacious, well equipped kitchen is easy for many hands to be helping with meals and the long island provides a space for others to keep the chefs company. A big table, an additional eating area along with the living room keep the main floor from ever feeling crowded. The many decks (rooftop!) and a screened porch allow for many opportunities for some quiet time. Easy walk to the beach on a neighborhood street and access to the clubhouse and pool in the summer make for the best of both worlds. Can't wait to be Always Chillin' again on Holden!
