Relaxing Oasis in the Midlands Meander

Welcome to Otters Den Self-Catering.

Our secluded cottages set in 18 acres of unspoiled countryside in the heart of the arts and crafts route of the Midlands Meander have been awarded 3 Star Grading in the Self Catering category by The Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA).

We have 4 free-standing thatched cottages: Chelsea, Great Western, Ikwela and Copper, each with a balcony overlooking the Lions River.

Each of our 3 Star Graded cottages accommodates two people on a queen-size double bed with electric blankets, goose-down duvets, en-suite bathroom with a shower and private Jacuzzi spa bath and separate toilet and basin.

They all have dining and lounge areas, a table and chairs on the balcony with adjustable umbrella, as well as a private car port. For cold nights our cottages also have an electric heater and heated towel racks.

Every cottage also comes with a welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, milk and delicious breakfast biscuits.

We offer the option of setting up up-to two single beds in the living area of the cottage to accommodate friends, family or colleagues charged per bed per night.

Please note that we have a minimum 2 night booking policy for Weekends.
