Private log cabin in the foothills

The log cabin is situated on 130 acres with gentle rolling hills. Two story 2600 sf 3 bedrooms 4.5 bathrooms, and wrap around porch. It sets in a hill top with beautiful views of the valley. The main floor has a great open floor with 25 foot high vaulted ceilings, kitchen with all the amenities, 3 bedrooms all with its on private bathroom and climatecontrol. A game room with pool table and games. The wrap around porch with a BBQ grill and a bar for entertaining over looks the beautiful views of the property and valley. Hike trough out the property and appreciate nature, bird watching, nature oak trees, and grassy hills. For those who like the outdoors there is a good size pond stocked with bass fish (catch and release only, please bring your own fishing gear). Second floor is used only for laundry.

Wonderful log cabin

Super clean cabin with very spacious bedrooms. Great to have en suite bathrooms and the playroom! Wrap around deck adds so much space for outside seating…coffee at sunrise; wine at sunset.

Ideal for a weekend of quiet and peace

Very peaceful stay here at the property. Norma was very easy to communicate with and Waldo was very kind to check us in at 9 PM on a Friday night. The property is spacious and excellent for a trip of relaxation, good food, and time with family and friends. The internet and phone works for those who absolutely need to stay connected.

Beautiful, Private Cabin

Everything was very clean and nice. We stayed here because of its proximity to Yosemite, unfortunately Yosemite was closed during our whole trip, so we spent more time in the cabin than we thought we would. I appreciate the pool table and amenities. The scenery was also very neat, the rolling hills were beautiful and it was fun watching the cows roam around the property. Owner is very good at responding to questions and friendly. We hope to come back and stay here in the future sometime when we can enjoy Yosemite. Would definitely recommend this cabin and look forward to coming back in the future.

Gorgeous getaway

The huge cabin is on an amazing property. This home is a great launching pad for day trips, but honestly, we didn't want to leave. I would book another stay without question. There were two minor things that did not take away from the trip at all: the oven is a bit tricky - it appeared to work best, or at all, on convection. Also, it wasn't totally clear where it was OK to venture on the property. We went on walks but stayed fairly close. Despite that, 5/5 stars and we would all stay again.

Excellent home base for holiday

The log cabin was perfect. It's not in the city, which was exactly what we were looking for. Nature, cows, privacy, comfort....this is it!!

Great Stay!

Stayed here over 4th of July weekend to visit family who recently moved to the area. The cabin is spacious and clean. Everything was as advertised, check-in went well and communication was great. Our 2 dogs loved walking around the property. Definitely would stay again.

Relaxing, secluded location

Stayed here for our Yosemite trip comprised of 2 families. The house is a log cabin located in the middle of a ranch. Very spacious and comfortable with room for our dog to roam around inside and out. Cows and chickens serve as your alarm clock in the morning. The owner responded quickly to our questions. Positive and memorable experience. 5/5 stars.

Amazing cabin near Yosemite!

We were so happy with our stay at the cabin! Besides being incredibly spacious, it had everything we needed. There was plenty of land to explore and the kids had a blast checking out the pond and taking walks in the evenings to see the goats and cattle. My wife and I loved sitting out on the porch and enjoying the views of the property paired with a great nightly breeze. It was as close as we could get to Yosemite and a great launching spot for day trips to the park and Sequioa/Kings Canyon. Really amazing trip and we were so happy to have booked this cabin!

I highly recommend staying at this gorgeous log cabin! My family enjoyed roaming the beautiful grounds and visiting the cows! Lovely property & cabin! Check in and out was very easy!

Impressive!

This is a wonderful cabin in a beautiful setting. There is so much space inside & out. We loved that each bedroom had its own gas fireplace & access to the gorgeous wrap around porch. It surpassed our expectations. The architecture is impressive. We usually visit the area in fall when everything is golden. It was nice to be there during spring while the hills are green & the wild flowers are blooming. Thank you Norma for sharing your very special property with us.

The Cabin in the Hills

Our second stay here. Very quiet except when the cows are roaming nearby (essentially, right out side your door) but that was only one morning. Unfortunately, it rained for most of the week we were there but not their fault and we found plenty to do. Great time for working puzzles or playing cards or board games. Just a couple of minor issues. The microwave is in a ridiculously inconvenient location where the range hood is directly in the way as it’s fairly high up. My wife is on the shorter side and couldn’t put stuff in the microwave on the same side of the counter from which she could operate it. She had to walk around the counter to set time and turn the unit on. Then back around to the other side to get things out. Another small matter is the clock in the great room still reads the exact time it did when we were there two years ago. Need to change the batteries. As I mentioned, it rained almost the entire time we were there and we had two brief power outages when it was really windy (60+ mph). Be sure and take flashlights or glow sticks as there are none there. Also, take long stick matches or gas barbecue lighters as there are candles but no matches and they discourage you from using the candles. You might also need them to light the stove as it refused to light a couple of times. A word of caution, though, you are about 30 miles from Merced and it gets DARK when there is no moon. Also, the though there are gas fireplaces in each of the rooms, you can’t operate them if there is no electricity. The gas flow and the ignition control are both electric. Finally, we always take a travel bag with kitchen stuff (especially knives and utensils). If you like to cook (we do and it’s one of the reasons we rarely ever stay in a hotel anymore), take a selection of spices, oils and condiments. You’ll be glad you did. If you come prepared, it’s a great place to come and stay. A little off the beaten path but well worth it.

Hit the Spot

Absolutely loved it here! Host was always a click away and house was beautiful. Honestly, the most comfortable bed I've slept in. We had a friends-giving here and found everything we needed in the kitchen. Highly recommend! We also spent a day at Yosemite and found it a perfect location to hit the trails!

Private Getaway

The Cabin was awesome. Spacious, well appointed & very clean. Beds were SO plush and comfortable. It was just my wife & I, but the place would be awesome for a group of people as each room had it's own full bathroom! Pool table was great, we played several games. LOVED the large covered back patio which actually wrapped around all but one side of the cabin. The place was very private and so quiet aside from vehicle road noise off in the distance and occasional goings on down in the ranch over and at the bottom of the hill. The cabin sits at the top of the hill, so sound tends to travel upward from below, but still very private and quiet the entire stay. There is a new house or building under construction a few hundred yards away, so once that is done, may not be quite as quiet and private, but for now, it did the trick. The only downside was the smoke from the nearby Creek fire.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We celebrated my daughter's sixteenth birthday at the cabin and our party consisted of my sister, her husband, her two almost adult children, my significant other, my daughter, and my 70-year-old mother. We were all very impressed with the accommodations, the bedrooms and linens were top notch and comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate. We felt like we were at a great hotel and at home at the same time, Can't wait to visit again when the hills are green and the air is crisp. The fireplaces were lovely! Highly recommend this lovely cabin!

Serenity!

This place was absolutely beautiful and the architecture was phenomenal! So comfy and accommodating to our family! It sets in between a beautiful lake 30 minutes away and then Yosemite and Merced River an hour away. Perfect location and Waldo was awesome and helpful! Our dogs enjoyed some freedom running around the property and so did our grandkids ! Perfect spot for disconnecting and relaxing ! We are already planning to come back for Christmas !

Beautiful Setting

Loved the property, peaceful and private. Nice walking around with the cows and birds. The stream and rocks below the house are beautiful as they meander further through the valley. The house is great for large groups, expansive, nicely laid out and decorated. And only 1.5 hours to amazing Yosemite Valley!

Great stay for big groups looking to stay outside Yosemite Park

My friends and I stayed at the property while rafting the Merced River. The property was decently clean and well stocked, and the property manager Waldo was a great help with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend this place for large groups and will most likely stay again if we’re in the area.

Large, beautiful and comfortable accomodations

This was a lovely, very clean and beautiful place to stay. The coordinating person was extremely accommodating: easy to contact and timely in his responsiveness to our inquiries. We had a great stay! This cabin has 4 and 1/2 bathrooms making it very easy for multiple families or large families as a place to stay.

Amazing Log Cabin Getaway

We absolutely loved the layout and expanse of this cabin. Plus the property allows you to stretch out in a bucolic setting. Easy access to Yosemite. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. The manager is courteous and helpful. Will defnitely stay here again and will highly recommend to friends and family.
