We found the bedroom in the basement to have obviously dirty sheets ( toe nails, hair ). The kitchen is poorly organized, some dishes were found dirty and there is not enough utensils. Initially communication was awesome. As soon as I complained about the dirty sheets they stopped responding. We left a shirt behind. I have repeatedly asked if it was found. No response.

Thank you for your feedback. We take guest concerns seriously and want to clarify a few details for future guests. You requested an early check-in, which we were happy to accommodate. Upon arrival, you contacted us regarding an issue in the kitchen, and we responded promptly and had the issue resolved. Approximately two hours later, you contacted us regarding the sheets in the basement bedroom. At that time, you reported finding a black hair on the sheets; you did not report finding a toenail. We immediately offered to come to the property and provide a fresh set of sheets, but you declined the offer. Our cleaning team also provided us with photos of the beds after cleaning and prior to your arrival. Regarding communication, we continued responding to your concerns and attempted to address each issue when it was brought to our attention. When you contacted us after your stay regarding a shirt you believed had been left behind, we told you that we would contact you if it was located.

Luxury Cabin Stay

I went with a group of friends and this house was impressive! Plenty of space for a small group of friends to hang out. Close by to numerous wineries, the location was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice getaway with great accommodations.

Great stay and beautiful view

It was an amazing stay, but the only issues was no heat in the Master Bedroom, no awareness that needed to bring extra trash bags & paper towels.

Awesome cabin in the mountains

Thoroughly enjoyed using this cabin, very secluded in the woods very large deck all the way around outside beautiful large kitchen and dining room. Plenty of seating in the living room for relaxing.

Family get together

Overall a wonderful stay. We had 12 adults for a get long weekend away. All were very comfortable. Good time was had by all.

Spring Break

Had a gorgeous week with our children and grandchildren. Enjoyed the large kitchen where everyone could gather and eat and loved the large living area with the fireplace and lots of comfy seating. Lots to do in the area, even a trout farm just down the road! Great vacation house!

Spring Break

What a wonderful house surrounded by nature! Great fire pit outside and a wonderful hot tub. We enjoyed the large kitchen and the beautiful fireplace with plenty of room for everyone.

Lovely, large home nestled in a wood setting; Stay included extended family; clean spaces, quiet setting. Tammy our host was great to work with! About 40 minutes from the North Entrance of Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns.

Perfect family getaway

We loved everything about this property. The home was the perfect size for our family winter trip (10 people) and we really enjoyed the local areas to explore. The kitchen had more dishes and small appliances than you could possibly need. The owners have thought thoroughly about anything you might need while there. The hot tub was amazing and I would stay here many times again.

Family get away

My family, brothers, sister-in-laws and parents (10 total) booked this house for a long weekend away and we’re not disappointed. The house was great, tons of room with different entertainment areas and was very clean. Very quiet location in the woods with a nice drive to the residence. Would definitely recommend this house.

Great house

Everything was ready to go and check in was super easy. The house had everything we needed and provided a great space for a get together with old friends. Getting into town takes 20 minutes but that’s to be expected when you pick a place in the mountains.

Perfect mountain retreat

This house was absolutely perfect for a group of 10 friends. Very spacious, lots of comfortable gathering areas. Tammy and her maintenance team (Donnie) were so communicative and helpful during our stay. The large kitchen was fantastic! Would definitely stay again. Can’t say enough great things about this host/house!

Early Spring Stay

The property is very nice and as advertised. Very spacious and in a quiet, remote location. Went hiking nearby one day and just stayed on the property to enjoy the amenities another day. About 20 minutes from town where you can get all your supplies if you're just looking to stay on the property for the stay. Our entire group enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.

Wonderful Hosts

This is a very nice property and the hosts were exceptional by preparing their place for a day long power outage. The temperature was exceptionally cold during our winter stay but the hosts not only had a whole house generator for the power outage (so our comfort was seamless), they kept the house cozy and warm with a great heating system and wonderful hottub. Highly recommend this getaway set-up!

Beautiful property with more than what you need

This property is truly amazing. Not only is it beautiful but the owners have thought of everything. Movies, board games, every appliance you could ever need, including a cotton candy maker! The rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. The owner was very easy to contact and gave our group fantastic suggestions for activities and a wonderful catering company.

Wonderful house for a large group!

The house was great and checking in/communication was very easy. We even got to enjoy the Christmas tree! We made use of the movie room, hot tub, fireplace, and hiked trails nearby. The wifi was excellent, which can be rare! A few notes for future guests -- some of the cookware has seen better days and some standard items are missing, the beds are on the softer side (a matter of taste), and you might run into the odd ladybug inside.

Awesome location and beautiful home

We selected this home as a home base for a friends hiking trip. It was perfect! The location was ideal. It is tucked away in the woods with plenty of privacy, but it is close enough to shopping and all of the trails we wanted to hike. The house was super clean and well furnished. If you cook, you will need to bring all condiments (salt, pepper etc.), but there are plenty of pots, pans and all needed appliances. We had an awesome time!

The host was very responsive, but there were a lot of amenities that were either broken/ didn’t work properly such as dishwasher, which didn’t do a good job cleaning the dishes, also, the shower hose in the master bathroom (holder was broke) faucet trickled in the upstairs bathroom and cold water didn’t work in the sink. Beautiful atmosphere, house beautiful, but beds that were stipulated as queen size, but were all full size, the only bed that was true to specifications was the master bedroom King size.

One of the best rentals in Shenandoah

I've been to many rentals in broader Shenandoah/Northwest Virginia area and this property is one of the best I've stayed at. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances, utensils, tools, etc. and they weren't just flimsy plastic to throw away. The living was full of power reclining chairs with USB plugs. The house and property was gorgeous PLUS being setback from the road made you feel like you had gotten away from it all. I hope I can book this place again for a getaway with friends and family!!
