The property is beautifully located on the north shore of Prince Edward Island looking out onto the Gulf of St. Lawrence. At this time of year, both sunrises and sunsets are visible on the same day from the shoreline.This was our second time at the beach house and, as before, we found it to be well maintained and very clean. There are four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and all the items (kitchen, bedding, towels, washing and cleaning supplies) needed for any length of stay.Doug, the host, was easy to reach, if necessary, and always helpful and informative.We spent four days walking local beaches and enjoying the early October weather (all very photogenic) and quietude.We plan to be back a third time.

This was our third or fourth time staying at this beautiful cottage. It’s perfectly situated on the ocean on the eastern part of PEI, and only a short drive from Charlottetown. The cottage is well equipped for everything one might need, including beach, chairs, a beach tent, and a wagon. We especially loved the sunroom. There are ocean views from every room, and we loved watching the herons and osprey fishing. There’s a beautiful beach just a few steps away, and the location is ideal for exploring the east side of the island. I’d highly recommend!

The property is exactly as listed. Right on the water. Very private views. Everything you could need for a great beach vacation is provided. We enjoyed beach walks when the weather permitted. Listening to the ocean, wind, and even rain was very soothing. We slept great and did a lot of driving from west to east to see as much of PEI as possible. This cottage was perfectly located for any destination, but if you wanted to stay put for a few days, it’s ideal for that too. Since we were visiting in the off season, we had several meals in Charlottetown which was an easy 30 minute drive. Doug was AMAZING! Our flight was delayed until midnight and he made sure we had breakfast fixings in the morning. We took many of his dining recommendations and were always happy with our choices! We absolutely hope to return to this cottage in the future!

Golf trip

Great property right on the water, clean comfortable and lots of space for four guys on a golf vacation. Would definitely recommend.

Loved this beautiful Truly Ocean front cottage

Thanks so much for the great stay. We came with adult kids and the place was perfect. Puzzles, books and lots of space for everyone to find their comfortable nook. Very relaxing, all you could need for a wonderful stay was available. Loved the walks along the beach. Highly recommend and hope to come back .

Beautiful Waterfront Cottage

Couldn't ask for a better view! This cottage was clean and very well equipped. The owner was very responsive. Close to all the hotspots. Would definitely stay there again!!

Beautiful location

Excellent ocean front location, very comfortable beds, nice welcome gift, lovely ocean side deck, has everything you need for a great getaway. We were 5 adult friends and the space just fit us. Perhaps couples could have up to 8. Beautiful beach for walking and gorgeous sunsets. We would definitely return to this gorgeous spot!

Overall experience was tremendous. The beach house and location is picture perfect. We loved waking up early for a sunrise and starting our day with serene views. The sunsets were breathtaking, the colours were amazing. The house is well stocked, clean, comfortable and beautiful water views. We will return and hopefully stay longer. Thanks, Doug

Stunning sunrises, sunsets and stars right on the ocean. We were fortunate enough to capture northern lights in some night images. Being “shoulder season “ it was eerily quiet, except for the ocean’s sounds…it was soul soothing. The layout of the house was perfect. We had everything we could have possibly wanted and were perfectly comfortable. The local people were delightful and food options were plenty. We absolutely loved PEI and Island Tides.

Beautiful Location

Such a beautiful spot right on the water. The kids enjoyed climbing down on the rocks right in front of the cottage to look for shells and critters. A sandy beach is just a 5min walk away. The beach is nice and shallow for little ones. We loved every minute of it!

Most memorable stay right on the ocean

We stayed at Doug’s in Savage Harbour and discovered another part of PEI and had a great time with our four children! The house is on the ocean and the beach at a 5 minute walk is wonderful and not crowded. We really loved the intimacy so close to charlottetown. We biked along the trail in Mt Stewart only 10 minutes away! We hope to come again soon!

A relaxing getaway in a perfect location for exploring eastern PEI.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. There was plenty of room for all four of us. The cottage is well equipped with everything we needed, and it was just a short drive away to Morrell to pick up a few groceries. We loved our morning walks on the beach, and it was wonderful to fall asleep whilst listening to the ocean waves. The cottage is located just a short drive from PEI and is a great base while exploring the eastern part of the island. We especially loved the sunroom and are already planning our trip next year.

Sun, Sand and Water

Four friends reconnected from Alberta & New Brunswick for a wonderful stay at the cottage. Decor, view and well equipped accommodations made our stay so much fun. Mornings on deck with coffee looking out onto the water was a favourite. Could have used more toilet paper for 4 people, lol. Overall, highly recommend this Cottage.

Wonderful beach house

We had a wonderful time at the rental. Its waterfront property gives you a beautiful view of the water and famouse PEI red sands. Its a quaint cottage with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, sunroom, deck with chairs, kitchen area and laundry in the house as well. Its a quick 30 minute drive to Charlottetown, and fairly close to other areas to explore. Would definetly stay there again. Its a quiet area to. No loud neighbours or partiers.

On the ocean

Great time! The cottage is right on the water. Its layout was perfect for a family. The master bedroom was set up to allow for a totally separate room and bath for grandparents...a family room area ...and at the far end a sunroom that again allowed for sperate activities. The 7 people in our group all had plenty of room and were able to do symotanious quite and group actvities. Everyone had what they needed.🙂 The location allowed us to easily access some of the best beaches on the island when we weren't enjoying the beach we were on. Definitely would book again!

Overall we very much enjoyed our week at this well designed and appointed cottage. We knew before arriving that the grounds had not been fully restored post hurricane, which was fine. We were disappointed that a pile of soil was directly in front of the view from the deck. We very much appreciated the extras available in the shed. Thanks, Doug!

My pleasure Ian. I am addressing the concern now as we were supposed to have the area seeded - looks like they dumped the topsoil and left! Recovery from the storm has been quite a challenge and I appreciate your feedback and review.

Wonderful location for a relaxing vacation!

We were 2 couples staying at the cottage, and we enjoyed our stay. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the deck watching ospreys and great herons catch their dinner, and seals hanging out off shore. Although there are a lot of cottages in that area, it was really quiet and peaceful. There is a nice beach only 5 minutes away by foot, and you can actually walk back to the cottage at low tide. Although the waterfront in front of the cottage is rocky, you can walk a long way when the tide is out. I’ve stayed in many properties over the year, and this was by far the best all around equipped property. Communication with the owner was excellent; he answered all our questions promptly. He also fixed a deficiency with the bbq quickly, so our cooking plans weren’t affected al all. Overall a great stay.
