Scandi Coastal-Private & Cozy 2 bdrm walkout basement.

Welcome to our warm and welcoming Cape Cod style home which sits on a beautiful, private and tree filled yard. This is a sunny walk-out basement unit (not wheelchair accessible), with a separate entrance for added privacy (we live on the upper level). It offers two guest bedrooms (both have Q/S beds), 3-PC bath, apartment size kitchen (but fully equipped) and a large rec. room with wood burning stove which opens onto a large ground level deck where you can sit and enjoy the privacy of the trees that surround you, spot the many species of birds. Enjoy the outdoor fire pit with a glass of wine from several of our local wineries, or if beer is more your thing, we have lots of great local breweries to chose from.

We are close to all main highways, 25 minutes to downtown Halifax, less than 15 minutes from the Halifax International Airport and about 30 minute from Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Park. So many beautiful lakes in the area, great golf courses and several wonderful walking trails close by...and of course never that far from some great ocean beaches and all those quaint small towns that dot our coastline. Surrounded by nature but yet close and convenient to everything. The best of both worlds.

Beautiful accommodations. Very clean. Well planned. Very well laid out. Host very friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Only negative was with Vrbo.. a little complicated..to understand the directions to complete the transaction. NĆØed to know your way around tthe computer. Would love to stay again.

The hosts were very nice and the place is extremely homey. Well decorated and you have everything you might need for a short or longer stay. Only downside is the smell of smoke/creosote coming from the chimney. May not be the best place for folks with asthma. Otherwise, it was a great stay; quiet area, and close to everything in Bedford/Halifax area

A well organized kitchen. Bedding nice and comfy bed. Very clean and host expectations were high so guests know to treat things well and leave things clean and tidy. Very nicely decorated. A well explained instruction manual was provided. From a personal perspective, I would have preferred to have curtains. Although we were in a wooded area, I would have felt more comfortable with drapes on the windows. Patio door was open to the kitchen and living room and I did not feel comfortable. The blinds on the windows were the rolling bamboo style and you could see through them in the evening from the outside. Lock on the patio door was not an easy gadget to work. The lock box also took a bit of practice. Overall an excellent stay.

Very nice place, cozy and clean. Beds are comfortable and the residence is quiet. The home is nestled in a beautiful wooded area away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Very nice lake which is a five minute walk away with free kayak and canoe available at the small local park. Hosts are very knowledgeable about local sites and very pleasant.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was well equipped with everything we needed and although the property is not in town, it is a short drive to shopping and restaurants. The apartment is well laid out to provide privacy when more than one person or couple are vacationing together. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

Amazing Air bnb

We had a wonderful stay at Scandi-Coastal. The suite had everything plus more that we needed for our week stay. The suite was spotless! It was very roomy and felt like our home away from Home. It was close to everything that we wanted to do in the area. It had ample kitchenware to cook our own meals. The location is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, where we were able to walk to a cute lake. I would highly recommend Treenaā€™s place.

Adventure to Nova Scotia

We specifically went to spend time with my grandson and his family and to get to know my great-granddaughter. The location was easy to get to. It was a very beautiful drive. Driving distance to anything you wanted to do or see. We spent 9 glorious days, using this as our home base. It was super comfortable and looking forward to coming back again on our next visit.

Our hosts were there to greet us when we arrived which was nice. Very friendly folks. We had issues finding a reasonably priced rental car at the airport and instead made plans to rent one from downtown, which saved us considerably and so, we took a cab to their location and were told it might be a little difficult to get a cab to this area. When our hosts heard that they immediately offered to drive us into town the next day. I'm not sure their schedule will allow for them to do that every time they have new guests, but it certainly was appreciated in our case. The unit itself was extremely clean and comfortable and filled with nice touches throughout. We needed to supply nothing. Also, there was a bit of a heat wave while we were in Halifax, but due to all the surrounding trees, we always came back to a nice cool space which made sleeping easy. We highly recommend this unit and will certainly use it again if ever in the area. Thanks for everything!!

Exceptional Accomodation

Everything we anticipated and more. A complete home away from home. So very inviting, every need met. Definite pride of ownership reflected throughout. Have stayed in my private rentals and can honestly say it is one of the best. Definitely a winner and Treena was a pleasant and easy host to deal with.
