Stay within the beautiful elements and views of the Budgong environment.
The Hamilton is located just outside Kangaroo Valley, positioned at the bottom of a magical 360-degree escarpment view. Stylishly furnished with a touch of luxury across all 4 bedrooms, open living area and kitchen.
Take your experience outside to enjoy the large deck and fireplace - please BYO firewood for the firepit or collect fallen timber from the property - which will entertain you for hours on end.

A distinctive space offering 4 Bedrooms, 3 with Queen size beds and an alternate bedroom with 2 king singles.
This spacious abode also comes with a fully equipped laundry including washing machine and dryer.

Open plan living with Kitchen with all amenities to suffice.

The outside deck is a great place to enjoy a cheese platter and bring in the outdoors!
Walk through the orchid and discover the many types of fruit trees. Theres apple, peach, mulberry, pear, lemon, and many others.
Direct access down to a secluded creek will make the full experience when you take a swim in the many rock pools.

The name 'The Hamilton' has been derived from our very own 500kg pet pig. Hamilton was a gentle giant. Friendly in nature but also a bundle of joy - when he's not catching up on his well earned rest from chasing the chickens or rolling in mud! Most of all, Hamilton always made our visitors feel welcomed and ensured they left with a smile. Hamilton is no longer on the farm and went far north to live out his retirement, but we wanted to continue his legacy by creating a friendly, fun and relaxing experience for our guests that he would be proud of.
In Hamilton's absence, we have Adrian and Fabio - two small Bulls - who will be happy to show you around. Unfortunately, they are usually pre-occupied eating hay or grass, so we have prepared an easy to read brochure to help you navigate your way around the place, ensuring you don't miss any attractions this property has to offer. Do find the time to say hi to them if you're not too busy enjoying the escarpment views with a glass of your favourite beverage on our open plan deck. This cottage style home provides the right balance of cosiness with open living and you'll appreciate the warmth of our fireplace - firewood provided May to September - on those chilly evenings. If the sun is radiating and the fireplace is the furthest thing from your mind, don't worry, take a stroll down to our fresh water creek for a cooling swim.
Wake up refreshed in this zen abode and enjoy your morning coffee or tea, enjoying the peacefulness and serenity that is synonymous with our relaxing Budgong hideaway. We hope you enjoy your stay and we look forward to having you back.

Could have been disastrous

Overall, the property itself was quite nice and cosy. The cleanliness of the interior was passable and the patio was beautiful. Kitchen was old but well-stocked with most utensils, pots and pans. The grass outside was incredibly muddybut obviously noone can control the weather so we weren't too fussed. At night when it wasn't raining the stars were beautiful to gaze at which was our primary reason for picking this property. However there are some crucial aspects about this property that the managers should have warned us about in advance. You need to drive a 20-30 minute stretch of road to get there which is filled with potholes and you'll need to cross a floodway. Luckily the water level was low enough for sedans to pass through the floodway despite the rain, but we would have driven a larger car if we'd known in advance. Most importantly, there was no mobile phone reception anywhere from 30 mins range of this property. If you got stranded or your car broke down after hitting a bad pothole you're out of luck. This was also an issue on our first night when we arrived and realised we hadn't received check-in instructions. Admittedly, we should have called ahead before-hand to confirm but we were not in coverage by the time we realised. Luckily the property's back door was unlocked so we gained entry and could access the wifi. Although the wifi speed was not ideal, this was all we could use to contact other people by phone. As we did not have keys to lock up the property, nor reception to contact each other during our stay the whole weekend, it was difficult sending people out to get supplies (e.g. there were no bin-liners provided). Overall the property itself was fine but we needed much more communication/warning from the property managers so that we could prepare better, and avoid unnecessary anxiety for a weekend getaway.
