Hi Richey, Thank you so much for this fantastic review and for taking the time to share your experience. I'm thrilled to hear that the hillside location and the beautiful valley views were a highlight of your stay. I take a lot of pride in offering a welcoming experience, so I'm delighted you felt well looked after—it was my absolute pleasure to assist with all your inquiries. Your recommendation to others visiting Lithgow is truly the highest praise, and we know future travellers will appreciate your feedback. Hi Peter Thank you for your review and we are pleased that you found our place clean, tidy and in a great location. We apologise for the spa being out of order, but are waiting on parts from overseas. These matters are beyond our control and I thank you for understanding. I intend to invite you back for a complimentary stay once the spa is repaired so you can enjoy it. thanks again Peter.

Thank you for your review, Sandra. While I’m pleased you enjoyed the view and comfort of the air conditioning, I do want to clarify a few points for the benefit of future guests. All of the matters you’ve raised were clearly disclosed in the listing or in the pre-arrival information provided to you well in advance. This includes the note that firewood is not supplied, and that guests wishing to use the open fireplace must bring their own and clean up afterward — a standard policy in regional properties. The spa function was temporarily out of service and this was communicated prior to check-in. Similarly, the property runs on clean tank water, as is typical for homes in this area, and we recommend bottled water as a precaution — again, this is noted in guest materials. In the lead-up to your stay, I answered over 30 individual questions, accommodated early check-in and late checkout at no extra cost, and made every effort to ensure your visit was smooth. I also reached out after your check-in to see if everything was in order but received no reply. What I did not appreciate was being pressured to provide a refund after your departure, accompanied by multiple threats. You stated that unless I refunded your entire stay, you would use your position as a travel blogger to damage the business through negative online content. This type of behaviour is deeply disappointing and unfair. It is for this reason that I cannot recommend you to other hosts.
