upon my arrival - building cipher lock did not work (building not secure, anyone could come in off the street all weekend), room cipher lock did not work (housekeeping did get me a physical key when I insisted on one), TV doesn't work well - remote lags and hard to use, very old - can't screen cast like 90% of all TVs now, fan remote did not work (only off or on the stuck high speed via the on/off light switch), lights in fan not operational, HVAC kind of worked, no extra blanket if they were needed. for the per night rate, very poor value and I have stayed at this facility (different units) a few times and did not encounter these issues in previous years

Had an amazing stay. Lots of local boutiques, cafes, and bars within a 5 minute walk. Very clean and cute. If any problems arise, the hosts are great at communicating.

The apartment was clean and easy to get too. However part of the floor in the bathroom was coming up and only covered with a rug. Other than that it was nice and cozy for a weekend getaway!

Beautiful property! Clean, full of light, and with a great river view. The space is ample and tastefully designed. Very good dining options are around and highly compatible with walks alongside the river. Fully recommended.

Great stay for a Notre Dame football weekend

Great unit for 2 people north of the ND campus. Quiet location on second floor of a commercial building. Easy check in.

Great central location in Niles

This is a very well appointed accomodation for one or a couple. Handy Refrigerator and Microwave. Big shower. Love the views of the river.

Loved this space!

What an awesome use of space! We rented a unit and some friends of ours rented one as well. The owners did such an awesome job on decor and layout, excellent use of space! Loved the coffee stations, really clean, very cute property!

A gem

Charming, impeccably decorated and extremely clean. Unit has a view of the St Jo River and river walk. Close by the distillery, Iron Shoe, well worth the visit.. What a gem ! I would stay here again in a heartbeat . Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The place was absolutely wonderful! Clean. Great location. Amazing decor. Great communication with owners. I think the only drawback was that the bed is not comfortable. Even with the bed, I would stay here over and over again!

Lovely property, convenient location

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Rivers Edge. The room was large and well thought out. The long bar top and stools are perfect for getting work done while the view of the river added a relaxing environment. The rental is downtown within walking distance to shops, restaurants and distilleries. I will gladly stay here whenever I am in Niles MI

No, I 100% do not recommend this location. While I'm not a perfectionist, there are certain expectations when you pay for a room...basic cleanliness and good repair. But this location provides a broken bed, a hazardous broken floor in the center, burned out lightbulbs, cobwebs and spiders so thick in the corner that we couldn't plug in the other lights, one very sticky furniture piece to place things on, and a dirty fridge surface around the microwave. And the bleach smell was so overwhelming my husband felt ill and couldn't sleep (no way to open windows or ventilate.) Our first time venturing outside to the walking path, we were stopped by a cop asking if we saw a suspect ride by. As for working with the host. By other reviews on here, and the fact that I kept them informed and sent pictures, they are very aware of the condition of this unit. We left after our first night and requested a refund. They denied us after "careful review." I asked them to explain which criteria they based their decision on. I asked for specifics on which part of what I sent was considered acceptable for guests in their review. I never received a response. I have never had an experience with accommodations before where I've had to leave a negative review. I just don't want others to make the mistake we did.

Couple day get away.

Property was easy to find, was as described. Only complaint was no ice or vending machine and more towel. It still was well worth money.

Nice, comfortable, quiet hideaway next to the river and close to hospital in Niles. Appealing decor, roomy. Adequate refrigerator and microwave. Definitely better than a hotel if you bring your own kitchen stuff and hair dryer. Criticism: No utensils in unit-not even a cup to heat water for tea in the microwave.

Nice Place

Quiet cute little apartment close to lots of things with a great view of the river. Also a haor dryer would be a nice attention. However other guest or tenants were extremely loud around 12 midnight to 1 AM and I did see a sign about quiet hours so not sure what happened there but it was disrespectful.

Nice loft no kitchen.

A little noisy, but earplugs were in the room, bed was comfy but it is just a room with a shower and TV. You won’t have to worry about doing the dishes, there’s only a fridge and microwave. Coffee is in the common area. Easy to get to but the access door is somewhat hidden.

- Getting into building upon arrival was a problem. Codes were confusing and the text and emails didn't communicate the same info. The outside door was called the secondary door, but even a maintenance person didn't know what the door was callled. Upon arrival, I couldn't get in, talked with someone remotely that couldn't get me in. On my own, I found that something was needing to be clicked for the code on the website or email, but if someone didn't have a smart phone they'd be out of luck for entry. This is not something a person wants to deal with when hot and tired after traveling all day.- Later that evening I found building entry door lock was broken and door was ajar. The next morning, it was the same. Maintenance person around didn't even have it fixed when I left, and was working on other things after trying.- The walls are "paper thin" and I could hear the neighbors clearly, even when talking. Young kids were loud and screaming well after 10pm.- Couple of hooks or rack near sinks needed in bathroom, especially if 1 person is staying at the place. - The a/c was not keeping up with the heat and I left for a couple hours after I turned down the temp. Windows face W and the drapes were left open from the cleaning person, giving solar heating of the place. Upon returning at 9pm, it had cooled down.- Location was great.- Dumpster was overflowing, when I went to drop off my bag of trash upon checkout.- Some was refunded when host was informed of issues
