Stylish house with great view

A stylish, very clean and well equiped house with a great view. We really enjoyed our stay - very relaxing. Host,Jan, was easy to communicate with. Would thoroughly recommend this house.

Stunning view of the ocean

Serene and quiet area. It has an amazing view of the ocean. It has everything that we wanted. Communication with Liz was fast and smooth as well.

A lovely place to stay

A lovely place to stay. Love the attention to detail. A lot of thought has gone in to this property. Enjoyed the beach even we lost glasses in the waves. Will come back again.

A dream home

This property is one of the best if not the best VRBO’s we have stayed in, over 100 sty’s in different homes. The Host is amazing, the property is a dream home, with all amenities thought out in detail. We were honored to have the privilege to call it home for our stay. M

Amazing views

Stunning house with everything you could ask for. Panoramic views. Log fire was perfect for a wild weather day. Modern kitchen with all the mid cons. Super comfy bed. Loved our stay here.

Heaven

This was such a lovely, relaxing stay in a lovely house. The views were amazing! We even managed to see the Aurora Australis with the naked eye. Keen photographers should take their equipment with them. A perfect place for Aurora spotting!

The “Ritz Carlton” of VRBO’s

Probably the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. Unbelievably comfortable (layout great with bedrooms on ground floor-each with own en-suite-and upstairs living room, media area, kitchen and outdoor deck with superb views of the ocean and cliffs. 5 minute walk to Campbell Bay Reserve surfing beach. Immaculately clean and well supplied. Owner Liz is a jewel to work with-the most welcoming hostess ever!!!

Absolutely stunning

This property is as stunning as its views. Every detail is perfect. The property is extremely comfortable for a relaxing break away. Lots of great places to walk including meeting the local wildlife. We followed the recommendation for dinner at Cucina and were not disappointed. We will be back for a break later in the year.

Outstanding vacation rental!

We spent 3 very happy weeks staying in Liz’s beautiful home in Kakanui. Everything was top quality from furniture to dishes to bedding. Kakanui is a quiet and charming resort community. The house has panoramic ocean views and an extensive upped deck. We went 15 minutes north to Oamaru for groceries and restaurants. This is an excellent location from which to explore the South Island. We loved every minute of our stay in this top quality home.

Super lovely!

Luxurious accommodation in a beautiful setting with stunning views! The house was an absolute delight. It didn’t matter what the weather was doing, we were warm and comfortable and always had views that you could just sit for hours and hours and enjoy! We loved the special extras like underfloor heating, the fancy hot chocolate maker, the epsom salts and essential oils for the bath, the lovely lotions, everything is so well thought out. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Spectacular views and luxurious extras

Warm, modern and great views. The luxurious extras such as the use of the coffee machine, the relaxing bath salts for the bath and the underfloor heating made this a 5 star experience. Well equipped kitchen. Great communication from the host. Immaculate.

Incredible sea views and luxury stay

We had an outstanding stay at this beautifully designed new house with views right across Campbell Bay. The views are memorising. The house is spacious and has a wonderful living area with every mod con and facilities to make your stay more than comfortable. Highlights included the bath with a sea view and the fantastic sliding doors that can be pulled wide open around the living area to enjoy the views. Highly highly recommended. We will definitely be back!!

Winter luxury

This property did not disappoint in winter. You can crank up the fire. Get the hot chocolate churning while you run a relaxing bath made into something special with bath salts and essential oils. The radiators in the bedroom have you cosy all night long. Whether you want to relax on the couch and watch a movie, or a glass of wine and watch the moody skies roll by you will be wrapped up in comfort. Its a great spot to come home to after a bracing winter walk on the beach. We have now stayed both summer and winter and this property does not disappoint.

Fabulous! Relaxing and Beautiful Inside and Out

Both house and view are outstanding The garden is well maintained with a freshly mown lawn and in particular we loved the path with the succulent plants dotted between the pavers. The interior is true to the online description, spotlessly clean and exceptionally well appointed - we wanted for nothing. Weather was changeable, but it didn’t matter as the house was warm and cozy and it was a pleasure to be stuck inside looking out. There are some nice complimentary additions with a yoga mat, Pilates equipment, oils and salts for the bath. Kakanui is peaceful and was a great wee spot for our breakaway and we’ll be thinking about this for a long time to come.

Spectacular

Driving up to the house is OK, but entering the house is amazing, then you go upstairs and the place has stunning vistas over the ocean in both directions. Massive triple ranch sliders open to a deck. Well appointed kitchen, with all the mod cons. The one thing that cannot be captured in any review is the wonderful calmness of the property, and the beautiful smells from the luxury oils around the place. It really is a magic pace to stay. The bedrooms have beatiful linen and very comfortable beds, the ensuite's off both bedrooms are fantastic, and if you really want to Poo with a view, you can upstairs in the bathroom overlooking the ocean. The glass is clear so you might want to be mindful of that! An easy walk to the beach, so if you have any thoughts of staying in Kakanui, this really is the place to stay. We had Christmas Day here and it was magic, kids had a surf Christmas morning with Dolphins! We watched a pod move further out while we had coffee on the deck. Thank you Liz for sharing your beautiful property, we had a wonderful time.

Perfekt - es gibt keine bessere Beschreibung!

Das Haus liegt absolut ruhig nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt. Der Blick aufs Meer durch die grossen Panoramafenster ist gigantisch. Alles bbsolut sauber und in einer Perfektion eingerichtet, wie wir es noch nie erlebt haben. Liz' Beschreibung gibt das nicht annähernd wieder. Tolle Betten und Matratzen, Kücheneinrichtung vom Feinsten. Liz: So ein tolles Haus vermietet man nicht, das bewohnt man selbst! Vielen Dank dass wir dort ein paar Tage verbringen durften!

Great escape!

A wonderful place to just sit and watch the ocean - the views to the south are amazing! The house was beautifully presented, so well equipped and felt like home from the moment we arrived; also loved the central heating! Oamaru is just 10 mins away with its boutique shops plus supermarkets for supplies. Great communication from the owner before our arrival meant we arrived chilled and stayed that way - would highly recommend!
