I was given a phone number for the main check-in desk. There is no desk. The two ladies who help people check in live in the same building. It is not a hotel although presented as a hotel with apartments. The listing said "elevator". You have to go up about 15 steps to the elevator which stops between floors. Then when you get out, you go up another 6 steps. Hard to do with luggage. Once the elevator was out of order and we had to go down the stairs from the 6th floor. Another time I had to walk up six flights. I'm 75 years old. The apartment: it was quiet when we had to sleep, The bed was very low, like a children's bed. My husband especially had a hard time getting out of it. The mattress was thin but comfortable enough that we slept. The bathroom and kitchen were fine. The living room sofa looked very stained. It was a white leather-like fabric which looked filthy, but there was actually no dirt on it. The worst problems was how difficult it was to open the locks. There are 3 doors to get into the apartment/room and one in particular was so hard to use that we had to call for help. Check-in said 4pm. We came in at 5pm. No one was there to help after 3pm so I got an email with instructions on how to get the keys but no one was there to help us on the day of check-in. We loved the location. The size of the place was fine. The bed, the keys, the elevator and the sofa were the issues we had trouble with. Also, peeling paint in the living room.
