Recently, and completely, renovated 2-bedroom condominium, Morgan's Run is the perfect place for a winter's weekend. It is a very short walk to the all-new lifts at Timberline Mountain. Ski to your hearts content and enjoy easy access to this perfect place to warm up, grab some lunch, and start the ski day all over. In the evening enjoy some time by the fire while you plan another day of winter fun. The well-equipped kitchen will make meal prep easy and affordable. Time to dine in, watch a game or enjoy a game of cards, and hit the hay. New, comfortable queen-size beds after a day on the slopes should be the perfect combination for a good night’s sleep. Ski, relax, sleep, and then ski again! Spring, summer, and fall visitors will enjoy the central location in Tucker County's Canaan Valley. It is a quick drive to Blackwater Falls and the golf course at Canaan Resort. Best of Canaan invites you to Morgan's Run!

Long winter weekend

When we arrived our unit had not been cleaned. We waited a couple hours and it got done, but I felt the crew rushed. The floors were still dirty and there were dried contact lenses on the floor in the bedrooms for example. The beds were uncomfortable. The pillows were absolutely unbearable. However the couch and chair in the sitting area were great and there were plenty of tv channels available. If you want a place literally footsteps from the slopes….this is it. You may just need to bring your own pillows.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd stay at this property and the location is ideal but it could use a good cleaning. Some side tables that aren't wobbly and in good use could be beneficial as well.

Great slopeside location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second time staying at this condo. The location is hard to beat. LOVE the heated floors! Condo size is great for two adults and a kid or two since the kitchen area is quite small and there's only one bathroom. Place was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and feel at home. Internet speed OK. We could tell when people returned from the slopes and dinner with an increase in buffering and needing to reduce quality on our Amazon Firestick. Earlier in the week when no one was around the speed was quick and we had no issues.Drawbacks which should not be surprising: Being slopeside, if they are making snow at night it is noisy since the guns are right next to the building. Also, close proximity to the parking lot means you'll be woken up VERY early by the snowplows clearing the lot. Bring your earplugs if you are sensitive to noise! And of course being on the bottom floor means you get to listen to foot traffic noise from above. Fortunately, the stampeding elephants stayed in the living room for the most part. :-D

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great condo for family of 4! Location could not have been more convenient. The renovations are beautiful, everything is clean and new. The heated floors are a real treat! The only thing it lacks is a view of slopes from balcony but you can see the ski lift from a bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped. Internet worked great! Best of Canaan was a great company to rent from!

Great Walk In/Walk Out Condo

My husband, 1 year old, and I stayed at Morgan's Run for a quick ski vacation at Timberline. You cannot beat the location when it comes to proximity to the slopes! The kitchen had everything we needed, but I will note it is best to bring groceries with you as the grocery store in Davis was... ok-ish. The updated bathroom was very nice. There is no bathtub, so those of you traveling with small children should plan accordingly. A huge plus was the HEATED FLOORS - amazing and so welcoming after a cold day outside! I would definitely recommend this condo and we hope to stay here again next winter!

Morgan’s Fun

The location was perfect for our family and first time skiing for our two young kids. You can ski in/ski out, and close to the lodge and lifts without paying for a whole house. The property was clean, and nicely updated with modern amenities. We loved the heated floors. The only negative thing was the foam mattresses were not very comfortable to sleep on but besides that we loved our stay at Morgan’s Run and hope to return!

I didn't have to worry about my toddler getting cold playing on the floor away from the area rug. Beds are very compfy and being a queen size, are big enough for a tall couple. The back bedroom fit a pack-n-play perfectly in the corner and my son loved looking out the window at the skiers going by. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need for cooking (no crockpot tho). Fireplace was wonderful on the very cold nights during our visit. Couch and chair recline and are very comfy after a day on the slopes. Dish network provides plenty of channels but we also took advantage of the good WiFi and hooked up our computer to access our Netflix. All the rooms had fans which helped circulate the warm air from the baseboard heaters. A couple recommendations for the homeowner to finish out the remodel and provide a few more comforts for guests: -Mount some 3M Command hooks behind the front door to hang coats and ski pants as well as put a few hooks behind the bedroom doors to hang items since the bedroom closet is the only place to hang anything. -Put a rubber boot tray in the utility closet for storing wet shoes and boots. There is no ski rack so we just leaned our skis against the wall in that closet and that worked just fine. -Purchase a corner lamp for the living room that's less harsh on the eyes than the overhead fan light (we tended to keep it off in the evenings).

Ski-in/out

A perfect property for an older couple who want to go in and out to go skiing several times in a day. We LOVED that it was modern and that it had a well-equipped kitchen with everything you needed! We will come back again! Thank you!
