Pet-Friendly Home - 1/2 Mi to Downtown Willoughby!

So glad to have hosted you again! It's wonderful that you continue to enjoy this charming old home and its easy walk into downtown Willoughby. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thank you for the review. So glad you enjoyed your stay!

John, thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay at our property. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences you encountered and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. We were surprised to learn about your experience, as we did not receive any communication from you during your stay regarding cleanliness concerns. We utilize a professional cleaning company to ensure that the home is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests. We have always maintained high cleanliness standards, as reflected in our past reviews, where we consistently provide 5-star experiences. We acknowledge your comments about the towels, and we want to clarify that all towels were replaced with new ones a year ago, and additional newer ones were added this fall. They are designed to be thick and absorbent to enhance your comfort during your stay. Regarding the mention of rat baits in the kitchen, we conducted a thorough investigation and did not find any traps. We take pest control seriously, and any concerns in this regard would have been promptly addressed. As part of vacation rental standards, we provide one full roll of paper essentials and whatever additional half rolls are left. This is meant as a starter supply for guests' convenience, and we understand that for longer stays or larger groups, additional supplies may be needed. We appreciate your comments on linens, and we want to assure you that we personally wash them when in town. While we regret that our home did not meet your expectations, we want to highlight that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend. We encourage guests to communicate any concerns during their stay, as it allows us to promptly address and resolve any issues to ensure a more comfortable experience.

Hi Tammy, we’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We’ve shared your feedback with the homeowner, and they’d like to address the concerns you raised:-The unique shape and material of the couch have been appreciated by other guests, but we understand that comfort is subjective. The homeowner plans to have the couch cleaned and is considering reupholstering or replacing it if necessary.-The ice maker was tested before and after your stay and is functioning properly. We’re sorry for any inconvenience you experienced with it.-We provide standard quantities of towels, toilet paper, and paper towels based on the length of stay and number of guests. As is standard in the vacation rental industry, the owner provides a starter amount of toiletries and other essentials, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies.-The listing does not advertise a washer and dryer as an amenity. There is a washer and dryer available in the basement, typically reserved for long-term guests and the owner would have been happy to let you use it had you reached out during your stay.-Unfortunately, although we work hard to provide a great environment for all guests, external factors like the neighbors are simply out of our control.-There are extra fans available in the closet at the top of the stairs, just a few feet from the spare bedroom.-We will consider adding more detailed instructions to ensure that future guests have an easier time with the TV. We have not had any complaints regarding the TV before.-The home is over a century old, and while the windows on the porch are not operational, the screen door can be opened for ventilation.-We do our best to stock the kitchen with essentials, though specific items like salt shakers may not always be available. We appreciate your suggestion and will look into it.We also want to thank you for taking the time to repair the toilet seat during your stay. The homeowner acknowledges this and would be happy to reimburse you for the part if a receipt is provided.Thank you again for your feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!
