The location is great for St. Louis activities, with great restaurants and other attractions nearby. However, the property seems older than what is listed on VRBO. Although it was clean, the property is tired and in desperate need of updating. The carpet on both sets of stairs was shaggy, old & dirty. The house has lots of knick-knacks, which makes it feel cluttered. The upstairs back bedroom has very poor airflow. The backyard was cluttered with coolers and other objects that have probably been left by other guests. A good overhaul of the entire property is suggested. The hosts were amazing with great communication and very responsive.

Overall the property inside was nice. Carpets could be cleaned or replaced. Cleaning supplies should be provided. Blinds are curtains should be installed especially in the bathrooms. Host was nice. And there was plenty of space for us.

We stayed here October 10-12. It is a fantastic little place conveniently located for anyone looking for a weekend outing in St Louis. It is within 3 miles of almost everything you would want to do in the city including the Arch, Union Station, Forst Park and the zoo. The property was clean and we felt very safe in this property. The host communication was great and responses were prompt when we had questions. We highly recommend this property.

Lovely residence, convenient location!

This property is spacious, clean and accommodating (fridge was stocked with water, there were a ton of towels, etc.)! It is located in an up and coming area, within 15 minutes of many local attractions.

Stayed for Graduation

This place was a super location for both Washington U and ST. Louis University. Clean .comfortable , spacious and close to great restaurants! We would definitely stay here again and use vrbo for our future travels plans.1

What a wonderful property!

I have nothing but praise for this property and the property management. It was a charming little house in an awesome neighborhood, the managers were exceptionally easy to get ahold of and very communicative. I would very much recommend this house if you plan to spend some time in St. Louis!

So quaint!

We loved staying at this property. I thought it was so cool that it was built in 1908. The location was really close to all the things we wanted to do and see. The only thing that made us a little uncomfortable is the amount of unsavory looking locals loitered on street corners. But the property was wonderful and comfortable. Security system made us feel very safe.

Spacious Clean House

This house is very nice and in a great location. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and a quicktrip practically across the street. The house was spacious and clean. The host was extremely quick to respond to any questions. It was a very nice touch to have some cold bottled water in the full size refrigerator upon arrival.

Quiet, Cozy and Clean

The property was just as described in the summary and photos. The neighborhood was very quiet. Woke up to soothing church bells in the morning. The home was well supplied with everything you could possibly need. The only issue was the oven did not work but after notifying maintenance, the owner accommodated us with a toaster oven so we could still bake our food items. Overall great stay. Would definitely stay at this home again.

Solid stay in STL

The check-in process was smooth and the communication from owner/manager was very good. Window A/C unit on the upper level came in handy during our late June stay. Our kids enjoyed the big bowl of mints in the kitchen and the bottled water in the fridge was a nice touch, too. While there was never a moment we felt in danger, the location of this home may not be appealing to some. Our family appreciated being relatively close to the zoo and city museum. Smart TVs and Wifi were reliable!

Home Away from Home

Finding a place to stay during our stay was daunting, as hotels were booked out for the size of our group. We decided to do an online search, and VRBO popped up. We were so unsure but decided to take the leap of faith. The area was okay, mixed neighborhood, but the house was safe and in close proximity to everything we needed. Also, the hoat was available and responded quickly. Overall, it was a good stay. So if you are looking for a place to stay, in St. Louis, that is a home away from home, then this could be the place.

The two staircases was a hit with the little kids! They loved all the knick-knacks around the house!

They had a hose and a sprinkler for us to use for the kids. The only thing we had trouble with was checking in because the front door lock wasn't working but they refunded us for the night and we went to a hotel. We couldn't find any coffee cups but besides that the had anything/everything you would likely forget to pack!

We enjoyed out stay :)

The house was very clean and nicely decorated. Our only complaint was the A/C was turned way up or off and the house, especially the upstairs, was very hot when we got there. We turned both the downstairs and upstairs A/C down and it took until the next day for the upstairs to cool enough to be comfortable. It would have been nice if the air was lower so the house was cooled when we checked in. Overall a very nice stay. :)

Perfect for a quick getaway

My sisters and I spent 4 days in St Louis and this house was perfect for us. The location was great, house is very clean and well kept, and it has everything you could possibly need. The beds in all 3 bedrooms were very comfy and with 4 females in the house, the 2 full bathrooms were a godsend! The host answers any questions literally within minutes, which is unusual these days. One thing to point out: this is an old home, and as such all of the bedrooms are upstairs. And the homes in this area are all narrow and tall, meaning lots of stair climbing. This wasn't a problem for us, but anybody with mobility issues should be made aware of the steep stairs. I'd definitely stay here again!

Great property. Great management. Great stay.

The property’s cleanliness, location, and accommodations were outstanding. The management was great and responsive to all of my concerns and questions (responses given within minutes). The only issue I had was that the burglar alarm was set, so it triggered upon entry and I had no instructions on the alarm. Thankfully, I was able to reach management quickly and obtain the code. There were no other issues. In the future, the burglar alarm should be left deactivated or instructions should be included with check-in. Overall, I highly recommend and would certainly stay again.

Hot

Disappointed the pictures of the outside didn't quite match the actual house. Two beds out of the 3 was very uncomfortable. The floors I don't believe had been mopped in a while upstairs. We couldn't walk barefoot from shower to bedroom, feet was black. AC was either broken or wasn't big enough to keep up , because it was so hot.

Good house and location but needs to be upgraded a bit.

We had fun in the city and loved closeness to Tower grove park. The home appears to be aged. No dishwasher, squeaky floors and stairs, few electric outlets. The most inconvenient thing was lack of curtains or blinds on clear glass bathroom windows and one of the bedrooms. We had no issues with air conditioning but second floor where bedrooms are was warmer than the ground floor. Check in was good with the lock pad code. There was no designated parking spot, so we had to park a bit away couple times.

No coffee pot. Air conditioner is not great.

No coffee pot only an electric teapot. The air conditioner will not cool the house. Especially the upstairs where it tends to get really hot. It is really close to a high-volume quick trip. Seems to be a lot of loud traffic right next door at the convenience store. Only sheer curtains in the upstairs bedrooms. No privacy. No break from the sunshine. Do not plan on sleeping in unless you bring an eye mask.

Okay but needs a little work

My family stayed here for 4 nights. Pros: Plenty of space for 5 people. Close to many downtown attractions. Management team had excellent communication and were always very polite. House was clean with one notable exception- our feet were black from walking barefoot in the house. I don't think the floors had been mopped in quite a while. House has a nice laundry room with newer machines.Cons: The house had a strong smell- antiseptic is the best way to describe it. The bedrooms are hot- there's a single window unit AC across from one of the bedrooms in the hall, so it was comfortable in that room if you left the door open but the other 2 were so hot that the kids had trouble sleeping. There are no blinds or curtains in one of the bedrooms, both bathrooms and the kitchen, which would have been a deal breaker for renting this property if I'd known ahead of time. You feel very exposed at night. Things I'm neutral on but definitely worth mentioning: the neighborhood isn't the "nice" part of Tower Grove- it's a little rough around the edges but I did feel safe in the home. The stairs are steep and carpeted- not great for those with mobility issues. There were large gaps at the tops and bottoms of the bedroom doors so not a lot of privacy. The kitchen is not well equipped for 5-6 people- not enough dishes/ utensils. Only 3 dining room chairs. Fine for quick meals but not if you plan to sit down to eat as a family

Long weekend enjoying the city.

The house was clean and spacious. Located just a few mins from downtown. The beds were just ok but comfortable enough for a short stay. Communication with the host was simple. We enjoyed our stay and thought the price was fair.
